All the bands were great, my first Lettuce show, and I’m ready for another!!

I've been to many a concert. This venue sets the record for worst sound I've ever heard. Especially during the Steel Pulse show. I'll see my favorite artists elsewhere. To submit this I had to give it at least one star - I would have given it no stars...

If you enjoy great music it was great time met new people

The base was so loud that it made your ear drums vibrate. You could not understand the words and Lettuce's sounded like techno. Not what we heard last year. What a dissapointment.

This tour with Steel Pulse was fantastic! The sound, stage, set list and energy was amazing. Lettuce never disappoints.

We had a blast!! Parking was easy in and out. And great people and great free Food. Thank you for a great time!!

This show was one for the books. Had they added more artist, they probably could have sold more tickets.

The venue was good. The bands were good. Could not hear the high end of the audio spectrum. The voice (singing) and guitar, horns were most often unheard due to the overwhelming volume of the distorted bass and drums. Because of the overwhelming volume of the distorted bass and base drum many of the fans left their seats. (It was like sticking your head in a hooptie trunk at full volume). I left my seat and went to the outside of the venue to get a break from the ear splitting distortion. It sounded a little better but still couldn’t hear the bass notes due to the distortion from the mixing board. I am wondering if the folks at the board controls have hearing loss and compensate by turning up to feel the low end completely drowning out the higher end of the spectrum. I was disappointed with the show due to the distortion and volume way over the comfortable mark. Having been to hundreds of shows and being an audiophile balance is everything. I like it loud and feeling the music but this one was not good. Sorry for the poor review.

My first time seeing Lettuce and they were fantastic! My only complaint was that the music kept getting louder and louder to the point that it was hurting my head and damaged my hearing. My guests all felt the same way so we actually had to leave the show before it ended. Three days later and I still have loud ringing in my ears. I thought the band was really awesome and loved the music but don’t understand why they have to have the volume up so high. I would have given a 5 star review if the sound level was more reasonable!

At first I thought the stage set up was interesting. And then when I heard the band, which I thought was awesome. Took me back to the 70s a couple of bands. Back then, BT express, brass construction. K.C and the sunshine band style and sound.. I will go watch them play Anywhere..

I was underthe impression that Steel Pulse was the headliner of the event. Instead found out when I checked in at the venue that they were the opening act. Not happy... neither were the other people who left with me after the end of Lettuce's first song...

Lettuce is one of my Favorite bands. Unbelievable musicians and Great showmanship. I can’t wait to see them again.

Bought tickets to see Lettuce play their original music, instead got a recreation of Aretha Franklin live at Filmore West. That's not even close to the worst part. The sound was way too loud. Like whoever was in charge turned it up all the way and left. Constant cracking, and distortions. Now I have to see an ear doctor because I have ringing in my right ear that hasn't gone away after 5 days. Stay away from the Shubert theater if you want to keep your hearing and always double check what the band you want to see is going to play.

Loved the energy. But sound was too loud for me. Put my fingers in my ears to protect my eardrums. Message popped on my phone Decill were too much.

Steel Pulse and Lettuce was a fun show. Enjoyed both bands.

The show started with a reggae act that had good bones, but a tone deaf lead singer. I honestly felt sorry for the dudes that could actually play. Their best song was a cover of Hotel California that worked because the crowd sang along and drowned out the lead singer. We came to see Steel Pulse and they delivered a stellar reggae show. Engaging, fun, true showmanship, a fantastic group that is truly entertaining. This was the highlight of the evening. The headliner, Lettuce, came on to a cleared out VIP section. Literally half the section left the show after Steel Pulse. And we stayed to listen to lettuce for a few songs, but just couldn’t get into them. Their pace, lack of any lyrics was a total downer after hearing Steel Pulse. Their trippy, laid back style lends better to an outdoor venue in the afternoon as a warm up to something way more energetic.

The event should have clearly stated that Tower of Power (TOP) was the backup band. We had never heard of Lettuce, but we're huge TOP fans, and we didn't want to miss this rare appearance in New Orleans. We listened to a little Lettuce music on YouTube before we bought tickets and thought they'd be a fine opening act for our favorite band of all time, TOP. We were surprised when TOP took the stage first, but they did NOT disappoint! They were incredible! We were sad they couldn't play any encores as they usually do at their concerts. We stayed for the first 15 minutes for Lettuce, but they and their fans just weren't our vibe, so we left. It should have been absolutely clear which band was the headliner and which was the backup. I don't think Lettuce fans knew TOP, and I don't think TOP fans knew Lettuce, so each fanbase assumed their band was the headliner. This was at best a bad pairing, and at worst misleading advertising by not clearly stating which band was the opening act and which was the headliner.

The show at The Saenger Theatre NOLA was a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear the band backed by the Louisiana Symphony. The accompaniment was a stellar backing for the band lending a somewhat emotional backdrop. This band is so tight weaving in and out tunes ranging their time together. The sound board engineers mixing and the lighting crew were so tapped in. This was a first for me seeing them live, but immediately felt certain would not be my last. If you get a chance don’t hesitate, it doesn’t get any funkier nor jazzier in that spacey tasteful way. WOW!

Beautiful venue and very comfortable to get into and out of. The sound was good for lettuce but way too muted for TOP. The bars were staffed well without long lines for drinks. Overall an epic show with the Louisiana symphony sitting in.
