About

Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • Mothers Day experience

by Just a mom on 5/10/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Enjoyed the performance with my adult sons. One who is nonverbal with autism. The Huntsville concert hall provides a sensory bag with items that help him to attend their shows, like a weighted blanket, sunglasses, noise cancelling headphones and a few fidget items. He used the blanket, but nothing more. We had great lower level seats, although the music was powerful, he…we all enjoyed the beautiful sound of the production. The costumes were incredible. The set props were so beautiful and realistic. I completely lost myself in the wonderfully executed performance. Gavroche’s performance was the most outstanding and heart wrenching. I cried at least 4 times, the last confession of Jean Val Jean “to love another person is to see the face of God”…that finished me. My son has been humming intonations of these songs for the past 3 days since we left the theatre. Glad I bought a CD for the car. Loved the show and so thankful the production came to our town so we could enjoy the story on stage. It exceeded my expectations by far.

  • Amazing!

by Lindsey J on 5/10/25VBC Mark C Smith Concert Hall - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I grew up listening to Les Mis, so seeing it for the first time on stage in person was amazing! The set, costumes, and actors were great! You know you are doing it right, when certain songs cause the audience to be completely silent!

  • Best Musical i have ever seen!!

by K MORAN on 5/10/25VBC Mark C Smith Concert Hall - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5

From the very start the music grabbed me and held my attention the whole way through! The characters were fantastic and the actors were believable in their roles!

  • A wonderful evening!

This performance of Les Miserables was top notch! I have seen this show on Broadway a couple of times and in Nashville at TPAC, and this was absolutely the best, from the sets to the costumes, the orchestra, and the amazing singing talent! There was laughter and tears, and the story once again moved my heart. Simply amazing! Magnifique!

  • Bravo!

To say Les Miserables was wonderful last night just doesn’t seem to say enough! I am still speechless and spellbound by the awesome performances of the entire cast! I felt like I had held by breath for almost 3 hours and left the concert hall feeling it could have been one of the BEST Broadway shows I’ve ever seen.

  • Incredible Talent

by CatB on 4/9/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Les Miserables is probably THE finest live performing arts performance I have ever seen, or may ever see. I’m still stunned and in utter awe of everything that went into this production. The extreme talent of the actor/singers, the sets, the cinematography, the incredible orchestra, the venue…was simply awe-inspiring. The only issue (for me) was that much of the dialogue (every word sung) was often unintelligible…so I did find the story difficult to follow. No matter what, I was mesmerized by the entire experience; by the sheer talent, imagination, creativity & labor of love that resulted in such a fine piece of entertainment

  • Spectacular Performance

by J’ville, FL on 4/9/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Fabulous production! This was a “Do Not Miss” show.

  • It was okay

by God'sGrace on 4/9/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 3 out of 5

There were elements of the show that were wonderful. It was a great set. The actor who played Fantine and the actor who played Marius were exceptional and some of the best we've seen play those characters. Jean Val Jean was adequate. The actor who played Eponine was below par. Some songs and scenes seemed to be cut or shortened and this was disappointing. The lighting was way too dark and it was difficult to see the stage and the action at times.

  • Good but not great

by canddmf on 4/9/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Solid performances for all characters. I've seen Les Miserables 2 times with the original Broadway cast. A few of these cat members were quite solid but nobody stood out with talent. The cast was smaller than the Broadway version so some scenes were just "less"impressive. Staging was surprisingly creative given the portable nature of the equipment. Overall good to see but less impressive than the full show

  • Magnificent

One of the best performances we have seen. The voices were perfection. The sets and lightings over the top. We really enjoyed the performance!!

  • Best I’ve seen!

by Mike Collins on 4/8/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Les Miserables several times but I was surprised that this small market performance in Jacksonville, Florida, was the best production I’ve seen. Cast and musicians were spot on.

  • Best Les Mis!!

by Jraf on 4/6/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was blown away by the talent of the entire cast. Not only were the headliners fantastically good singers, every one of the minor / supporting cast was just as good! Everything about this production was professional... set design, lighting, sound, acting, singing, costumes, etc. There was no disappointment whatsoever with any aspect of this show. I would wholeheartedly recommend this show!!

  • Absolutely fantastic!

by Christy on 4/6/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time seeing Les Mis and we really loved it. The costumes, production, props and singing were incredible. It felt like we were in a Broadway Theater, instead of Jacksonville, Florida. I'd highly recommend it.

  • Exceptional Performance

by Mis Fan on 4/5/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Les Miserables is my favorite musical and I have seen it several times. I was impressed with the caliber of voices and the overall production. Jean Valjean and Javert were exceptional in the April 1 performance.

  • Great voices, poor lighting

by Bob on 4/4/25Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts - Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 2 out of 5

The singers were all tremendous. Amazing voices! The orchestra was also excellent. The set lighting was very dark which made it hard to see the characters and follow the script, especially from our seats near the rear of the auditorium. It was hard to tell which character was which. Overall, we were disappointed. We heard similar comments from people seat near us as we left.

  • Great

by Spring on 4/3/25BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Show was wonderful. Loved the music. One negative thing was that the lights on the stage were too dim. It was hard to see clearly from my tierr 3rd row seat. Experiment was great. Thank you.
