Really, really great, worth every single penny. Would absolutely go again.
Got to see Faker, Deft, Chovy, Zeus, Peanut, and so many other legends play the game live. Amazing crowd and merch options. I would go to another event in a heartbeat. TSM TSM TSM
This was the best experience I have ever had watching e-sports.
Sat in the nosebleeds but still had a great view on the Jumbotron and the atmosphere and sound was fantastic
I had such a wonderful time at the LoL Semi-Finals! What's a lovely experience it was attending in person. Only thing was getting into the arena was such a pain. It would have been better to have a line labeled BAG CHECK and NO BAGS. Merch line was also a nightmare but it is what it is. Thank you for the experience!!
It is a completely different experience between watching the competition at home alone and with a bunch of people at the spot. I had a great time that evening tho my favorite has lost loll
From the security changing rules and policies between the two days at the front gate, to the really really poor line management and set up of merchandise… to not even having team merchandise for the playing teams available. The event had so much potential to be more. The games were a great experience and absolute bangers as were the staff within the venue. But not being allowed to bring in signs that we’re the same size or slightly smaller from one day to the next resulted in day 2 having very little emotion from the crowd hype. The merchandise was limited to just riot statues and clothes nothing regarding the playing teams like flags banners or even small player name signs.
Being at worlds was unreal, so much cooler in person than I thought it would be - especially when Deft gets his long awaited victory.
Everything was really fantastic. Would have preferred more merch locations as the lines were crazy long. On to San Francisco
The matchups were fantastic and the crowd really made it enjoyable. However, Riot did an AWFUL job of event planning. They only had two merchandise tables and not enough people working them. I literally stood in line for two hours to purchase an event only t-shirt on Saturday. I missed two of the games. They sold out of a lot of merchandise and I expect people on Sunday were extremely disappointed. A tailgating event was established the night before the event and no merchandise at as even being sold at it but that could prevented a lot of issues. You were able to get a bag, small flag, and pin at the tailgating event. It’s also disappointing that Riot didn’t give out any skins or any swag at the main event. You can only get the Tiffany Rose skins by streaming/watching live but isn’t being at the event considered watching it live? They had horrible claw machines that were nearly impossible to win at but that’s about it as far as swag goes. Verizon said they were handing out codes for a hex tech chest but they ran out of codes within the first 30 minutes of doors opening and it took me that long just to get through security. Blizzard does a much better job at events than Riot. Riot needs someone better in charge when it comes to customer experiences.
It was really lit and I enjoyed my time there. Crowd was hype, seeing the people that I’ve only seen on computer screens was a very surreal thing for me :)
About the event itself, I thought there will be more activities at the events such as meeting with the players or getting their signatures. Unfortunately merchandise items ran low on Sunday and couldn’t get items I wanted. There was no special skin code or reward. There was no gathering or meeting up for all cosplayers to take a big group photo. About the monitors and views. Up in the 200 seats, those who sat on the corner with the curved screen that’s above the players got 2 extra giant monitors which is great for them. But those in the middle row have to depend on the flat screen above the players which is kind of too small to see. These row should get 2-3 big screen just like the ones in the corner. That is all.
Going in person to see the Worlds Semi-Finals was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had… that might mean I’m a loser, lol. But if you’re reading this you probably love professional League as much as I do. It was worth every penny of the ticket costs, the hotel stay and flight tickets from Florida.. as well as getting home at about 2am before waking up for class a few hours later. I got to watch Faker and the rest of T1 crush JDG and then Deft and DRX’s shocking upset against Gen G. Sad for Peanut and Chovy but happy for the rest of them. I really wish the finals were closer to FL than California.. and that I didn’t have exams the Monday after. Would have tried to go to both. My wife even had a great time and enjoyed rooting for Deft and his fellow underdogs. Can’t wait for the next time LoL worlds comes back to Na.. although Faker will likely be retired or coaching by then. So I’m so glad I took the opportunity to do it now!
Drove down to Atlanta to attend both semifinals days, and it was a blast! Crowd made it electrifyingly fun. Merch lines were insane and both went all the way around the arena, and all of the merch featured are available on Riot's merch site (other than the Atlanta shirts which might be available later anyways), so either get in line as soon as doors open, wait until the event is nearly over, or just buy online. Had a hard time with Statefarm Arena venue staff not following their own policies involving sign sizes, and saw other people having a hard time being let in for a number of explicitly permitted reasons as well. Forced me to wait around for half an hour because they would neither let me in with it nor confiscate it, and told me to try another gate, at which they didn't even bother sizing the sign and was let in. Venue staff was also extremely slow at the merch booths; both staff experiences made me miss the first game. The venue staff were not directly affiliated with the event being held, but I have been made aware of previous venues Riot holds events at not allowing people in at all with explicitly permitted items, so I recommend bringing only the bare minimum to any Riot events to play it safe.
Seeing faker onstage and t1 winning was for sure something, however it was day 2 that blew me away. DRX coming back and making finals was some of the most hype league ever and being part of the crowd even better. GG to State Farm arena
Please bring LCS playoff/MSI or worlds back to Atlanta
Incredible experience, Production was a 10/10. casters kept that crowd engaged. The only negative I could pull is that there was not enough merch and the lines were incredibly long. I wish there was more of a variety of merch booths as well and not just worlds merch, but I understand the reasoning. Thank you to the city of Atlanta for hosting, all the attendees, and all of the employees involved. An amazing experience ill never forget and I will go back when the LCS or Worlds are near me again! p.s. come to Indianapolis!
This was the best live event I've ever been to. My only complaint is the merch sells out fast, so get it ASAP if you are wanting something
Everything was great exept couldnt get them to refill the soap in the bathroom after telling 3 differant people
They crowd was amazing and the production was GREAT! Even the security team was awesome. Loved every second :)
