Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, not only through their eclectic sound--a boldly original cross-pollination of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more--the five-piece's all-embracing ethos has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection among every crowd. In the making of their GRAMMY-nominated album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they refer to as "joyful rebellion," Good Together arrives as a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along.
The follow-up to 2021's Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart's desire. Next, on "Dance with a Stranger," Lake Street Dive once again prove their undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message, simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The wildly cathartic "Walking Uphill" presents gripping meditation on the work of self-repair, while "Seats at the Bar" puts a sweetly playful twist on the classic love song. And on "Twenty-Five," Price shares a stark and lovely ballad steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that's fueled the band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

LSD could not have been any better. Excellent show.
Great concert! Better in person than I even thought they would be.
Lake Street Dive has always been musically a real treat. Their instrumental interplay, harmonies, and the unique and terrifically accomplished voice of Rachael Price make for an amazing band. They have, however, really upgraded their staging, lights, and sound quality. The LSD support staff are obviously upgraded a ton from previous shows that I have attended. This is my 6th LSD show. The sound mix is more dramatic, the bass and kick drum are now seriously kick ass when appropriate, the lights are part of the show not an after thought, Rachael now engages the audience between songs, and her stage presence is now first rate. The band exudes clean living, good health, maturity, joy, -- just a breath of fresh air. Of course their music is the reason I keep coming back, but the who package just keeps getting better. Five stars!
Lake Street Dive puts on an amazing show. They are a group of true musicians that are having a lot of fun while they perform. It was an amazing set with tons of energy.
Incredible music, energy, presentation, songs, EVERYTHING!! They were so so so good. Sounds corny, but it was magical.
The Lake Street Dive concert at the Uptown in Kansas City was amazing. Invigorating and in your face light show that complimented each song. Rachel's vocals are so impressive and the other three musicians are masters of their instruments and song writers as well. Most of their work is original. I think they played for a couple of hours and really kept things moving.
I ended that with a period because it's a statement of fact. The talent coming from these 4 people is totally transcendent. Their show was so good from start to finish I almost couldn't handle it. These guys are the REAL DEAL. DO NOT MISS.
We had a great time! Lake Street Dive gives a hell of a performance!
Lake Street Dive is incredible. I've seen them twice and each time I walk away wanting more and wondering when I can see them again. Great sound, awesome vocals and harmonies and a fun, upbeat show that leaves everyone with a smile on our faces.
Immediately entering one of my favorite venues across the Saint Louis area, besides the standard 'feel up' you receive just before ticket scanning, I was taken back by the diverse groups that came to see Lake Street Dive that night. You had your younger crowd with their tie dye thrown on a T. You had your couples with smiles slapped across their face ready to enjoy a night out together. Your married duo that were already dancing together to the smooth sounds of the opening act and even a beautiful older crowd that were handing on to the edge of their seats READY to enjoy the greatest mix of soul and jazz tunes they've heard since their first years together. With the excitement on everyone's face and Lake Street Dive clearly just as ready as we were, they entered the stage. My immediate attention shot to Rachel Price. I course wanted to see what stunning outfit this gem would be pulling off this evening. Rachel immediately begins with a tribute to The Pageant like every other great artist/comedian that has been blessed to grace the stage. A few shouts and screams later, BOOM... We're hit in the face with immediate toons of relaxation and perfect rhythm. For the next hour we were graced with the most obvious joy throughout the stage with passion exuding from each member . Rachel of course stealing everyone's attention with her moves perfectly complimenting each song. Mike constantly entertaining the crowd with his quirky humor, outrageous solo's!! and obvious connection with the music, all while no shoes were in sight. And last but surly not least, Bridget and "McDuck" throwing a showstopping performance by topping off every stage feature with their MANY talented instrumental tunes. For that single hour you simply forgot about each worry, that held onto to you so tightly, just before entering the venue. Following the show, and $95 in merchandise later, everyone that volunteered to be shoulder to shoulder with fans were able to meet with the entire band and receive autographs. I thank you Lake Street Dive for not only delivering perfect bliss to your fans throughout Saint Louis but understanding how to truly grab our attention and reminding us what music is all about. Truly impressed. Stay genuine!!
Great energy from start to finish. Amazing vocals. Rachel Price's lead vocals are without equal. This band keeps you in the palm of their hand and doesn't let you go. Can't wait to see them again.
They are amazing. All ages can enjoy them! Their harmony is amazing and they did some things differently than are on the album. Changed it up but still amazing.
AWESOME ! Some of the best music around. Don't miss a chance to see Lake Street Dive perform.
These are talented, joyful musicians who clearly "click" with each other. They have great stage presence and enjoy themselves. So much better live than on studio recordings.
The last concert that I attended was Heart at the Patriot Center at George Mason University in 1985..... Lake Street Dive at the Pageant was a 100 times more entertaining and fun.
In March at the House of Blues I saw Lake Street Dive for the third time. I go to very few concerts. The band/act has to "move" me (musically) before clicking the purchase tab. Not one band has ever compared to Lake Street Dive for me. They are musically gifted and lyrically genius. Rachael Price, the lead vocalist, is the most powerful singer since Winehouse, Houston, and Staples. McDuck (Mike Olson) plays the guitar and trumpet marvelously. He keeps his composure and shows little emotion during the show but LSD lovers know that he lives for the applause. Mike Calabrese plays the drums. He usually plays barefoot and he consistently made eye-contact with fans in the front rows. He feeds off the energy of the crowd and creates piercing sound. Bridget Kearney plays the upright bass, she steers the concert from the back of the stage. She is by far the most talented musician and lyricist. They are the four talented cogs that keep putting out amazing jazzy ballads to retro-pop hits. They performed many of their classics (Self Portraits, Go Down Smooth) to new favorites off their new album, Side Pony. They sometimes introduced songs but usually let the music and lyrics do the talking. Since Boston is where they got their start Rachael talked a bit about the venues they have played nearby over the past 10 years. The crowd applauded loudly when Rachael said "We have been waiting for this performance for a long time". They are genuine people and genuine musicians and their fans recognize that. I highly recommend them. They are succinct and perfect. You cannot find that anymore with main stage acts. They are consistent and passionate so any concert you go to will will be inspiring. At the HOB was my 3rd time at their concert (soon to be 4th and 5th later this year). Go check them out before they become too expensive!
Lake Street Dive is probably best known for the precise and soulfully delivered vocals of lead singer Rachel Price. Although she would definitely be worth the price (no pun intended) of admission, the band more than holds it own. From ballads to straight out rockin' out, the 4 piece band delivers on all accounts. From harmonies to instrumental solos and supporting Rachel's singing, I would highly recommend seeing this group in person.
Lake Street Dive and The Lone Bellow blew me away. I knew Lake Street would be amazing, and their talent and stage presence didn't disappoint at all. The Lone Bellow, however, snuck up on me and blew me away. I could have left after the opener and been completely satisfied. It was such a magical night, great job!
Incredible. Venue is good w good sound n I like GA standing--no VIPs. I DIDN'T like paying $10 for a can of Guinness--drink prices are ridiculous.
Even though the weather didn't cooperate everything else was great. My first time at Thompson's Point and was very impressed with how everything was run. Lake Street Dive put on a great show. I enjoyed the sound better than at The State Theater. Looking forward to the next concert at Thompson's Point.
