About

Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, not only through their eclectic sound--a boldly original cross-pollination of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more--the five-piece's all-embracing ethos has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection among every crowd. In the making of their GRAMMY-nominated album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they refer to as "joyful rebellion," Good Together arrives as a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along.

The follow-up to 2021's Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart's desire. Next, on "Dance with a Stranger," Lake Street Dive once again prove their undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message, simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The wildly cathartic "Walking Uphill" presents gripping meditation on the work of self-repair, while "Seats at the Bar" puts a sweetly playful twist on the classic love song. And on "Twenty-Five," Price shares a stark and lovely ballad steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that's fueled the band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

  • Excellent show

by Terry on 5/19/25The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was pleasant but not someone I would like to see again. Then came time for LSD which was worth the wait (as always). They came out and from the first note took over a very enthusiastic crowd. The set list was a taste of both new and old with most in the audience singing along. Missing were the songs which needed a trumpet but unfortunately there was no horn in the house. Did it disappoint, absolutely not. They treated us to a wonderful compilation of tunes that moved everyone in their seats. Seeing them again in September with a terrific opening act. If you’ve never seen them before, go out and get tix. You will never be disappointed.

  • Great No Matter the Venue

by Superbwoman on 5/18/25The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5

The last time I saw Lake St Dive it was at Madison Square Garden. This time it was a small local theatre. I had my doubts on how it would sound. To my absolute delight, their music and musicianship proved that it doesn't matter where they play - they are just that good.

  • Great band, noisy theater

by cpframe on 5/18/25The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 4 out of 5

The mosh pit and area around the bar are full of people talking so if you want to actually hear the band clearly you will have to pick seats away from these areas.

  • Lake Street Dive was good for the soul at the Paramount!

by Esther on 5/16/25The Paramount in concert with Northwell - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

From the very first note to the last, the Lake Street Dive concert at the Paramount in Huntington was pure joy!! The energy was amazing and the play list was perfect! We had loge seats so we were able to dance through the entire performance (with cocktail service!) Highlights included “25” that beautiful ballad about past love never forgotten or wasted and “Hypothetically yes” but the entire set list was amazing!! LSD was the best antidote to these troubled time! A wonderful night that was good for the soul!

  • The perfect NYE concert

  • A New Years Eve to remember

by Petunia on 1/5/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

A fabulous venue and Lake Street Dive never disappoints. Sharing the count down to 2025 with them was very exciting. Confetti and balloons topped it off 🥳🎈

  • Fantastic!

by fabu on 1/5/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I wish I’d known about Lake Street Dive years ago, they are always fantastic. Their show at the Salt Shed - great opener, Theo Katzman, amazing light show, their inimitable selves! First time at the Salt Shed. Seats are tight on leg room but then you have access to the Three Top Lounge with its beautiful skyline views.

  • Another great show, but a lousy opening act.

by MD on 1/3/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Band is as tight as ever. Great show. Opening act was awful. A parody of a bad pop rock band singing songs about nothing with no style or feel. Please leave them behind next time.

  • Great venue, great show - wish it was longer

by Shane on 1/3/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

LSD is great live. The performed all the songs I wanted to hear, and very well, with some nice live improvisiations. Salt Shed is a great venue - sound is incredible. I am now an even bigger fan of LSD and will look to attend future shows in my area.

  • Lake Street Dive in concert is a don't miss event

by Steve on 1/2/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This group has it all. Excellent musicians, outstanding voices, incredible energy, great songs, all combined to put on a fabulous show. Lead singer Rachel Price has an incredible voice supported by an awesome band. Great venue, great group, great time. Only complaint it was too short. Could have listened to LSD for hours.

  • Fun Show, Fun Venue

by MStone on 1/2/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Lake Street Dive put on a killer performance , along with the Theo Katzman opener. You could tell both bands were having fun and could feel it in the performance. The Salt Shed had great acoustics, seating/beverage options, convenient parking, and Goose Island next door was a bonus. Would love to go to future shows there!

  • Live it up with LSD!

We loved hearing Lake Street Dive live at the Salt Shed! A truly unique experience from this band of talented musicians.

  • What? No Rich Girl?

by Rob on 1/2/25The Salt Shed Indoors (Shed) - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Great music and Rachel’s voice is pure magic. But they must have run out of time because they didn’t play Rich Girl at the end. Disappointed.

  • Great show

by Highly Selassie on 12/17/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing them and they didn't disappoint! Can't wait for the return!

  • Best night of 2024!

by Mom of 3 on 12/17/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

OUTSTANDING! Lake Street Dive was literally the most fun I’ve had all year! My only regret was that I wasn’t at the first show because I 100% would have gone back the second night! First time at MGM Fenway and thought the venue was fabulous- felt brand new and didn’t seem like there was a bad seat in the house.

  • Lake Street Dive amazing

by MurphBos on 12/17/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

1st time at MgM and seeing LSD. Wow. Very nice venue, allowed for an intimate experience with an artists that can really connect with the audience. Non stop High energy while sleighing their playlist, also some pretty cool covers I liked better than the originals. Will certainly see them again.

  • Fantastic show

by Rjb on 12/17/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 7th time seeing LSD, they never disappoint there audience. With the addition of a horn section and percussionist they only get better and more entertaining. Can’t wait to see them the next they swing through the area.

  • LSD - WHAT A SHOW!!!

by HG on 12/17/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I thought they would be great from all their music that I have heard and they were crisp and clear and even better than I imagined !!!

  • Lake Street Dive - better and better!

by JillyBean from Georgia on 12/17/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Having seen the band several times throughout the years, I can honestly say they just get better and better with age! And they were amazing to start with! Their sound is so polished and smooth, it's like listening to an album. The addition of the horn section and extra percussionist were brilliant. From their original compositions to their creative covers, this band brings the hits, song after song. The hours roll by too fast, leaving you wishing for another few encores. Bravo, LSD! Keep on creating and performing!!!
