About

Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, not only through their eclectic sound--a boldly original cross-pollination of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more--the five-piece's all-embracing ethos has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection among every crowd. In the making of their GRAMMY-nominated album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they refer to as "joyful rebellion," Good Together arrives as a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along.

The follow-up to 2021's Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart's desire. Next, on "Dance with a Stranger," Lake Street Dive once again prove their undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message, simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The wildly cathartic "Walking Uphill" presents gripping meditation on the work of self-repair, while "Seats at the Bar" puts a sweetly playful twist on the classic love song. And on "Twenty-Five," Price shares a stark and lovely ballad steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that's fueled the band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

  • An amazing evening

by Ray on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing. The opening band, the 502s, an energetic good time party dance band reminiscent of the Grateful dead. Lake Street Dive is beyond belief in the talent of everyone in the group. From Rachel as lead singer to every member of the band who also all contribute songs to the group playlist. Great Park live in Irvine is an amazing venue. It was a perfect event.

  • Poor sound quality

by Liz on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 1 out of 5

This review is only for the venue. The setup itself was ok, a type of sound stage in the middle of a park with multiple lots and points of entry. It took us a while to find the right lot and leaving the parking lot was a mess, it took about 25 just to leave the lot. The single reason for my review comes down to the terrible sound quality. The reverberating bass drowned out much of musical talent. Seeing one of my favorite musical groups that's I've heard live twice before, I know the place didn't do their talent justice. I can get over the fact that they only have porta potties, the seats are so close you're rubbing arms in the sweltering heat of summer nights, and the disorganized parking but the awful sound quality, nope.

  • Lake Street Dive put on a great concert

Great concert but I was really amazed at the superb sound quality at the Great Parks Live amphitheater

  • Great show great venue

by Gww on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

We really enjoyed the opening 502 Band and Lake Street Dive and the additional 4 piece brass section(can't remember their name). They gave us a good show for the price of admission. I felt it was too long of an intermission between bands. We liked the venue, however we suggest porta potties on both sides of the field. Also they may consider permanent restrooms also.

  • Lake Street Dive- fantastic!

by Drfig on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

This band was good before. But to see them live? They were phenomenal. Tight, melodic, funky, and fun. Yes we were dancing in our seats. The venue is also pretty good for seeing a band. Much better than the large venues where the bass is so loud it overdrives the other instruments. I was grateful for a better sound mix than we have experienced at other venues. This is one of my new Favorite bands now! Thanks!

  • Amazing Artist, terrible parking

by Gabe V on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 4 out of 5

Fun to have music back in Irvine, and the venue is intimate. Lake Street Dive was terrific. Zero help directing traffic and one lane in and out was super terrible. They need to figure out a better plan.

  • Great show, as always.

by Big LSD fan on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

We've seen them live six times now, and they never fail to amaze. Of course, Rachel's voice (and dancing) are the star of the show, but each member is integral and adds to the performance as a whole. FYI - Great Falls Live will be a great venue. They have some kinks to work out (like the parking).

  • Wonderful all-around

by KikiC on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

I hadn’t experienced Lake Street in person yet and it was everything I had hoped for. The vibe at the outdoor venue was perfection, and listening to Lake Street Dive and watching the sun set in the park is an experience for the senses. Can’t wait until they come to town again. Long time fan of the music and seeing them live is highly recommended.

  • So much FUN!

The venue was fantastic, the warm up band, The 502, was so fun (I became an instant fan)and Lake Street Dive delivered!

  • Lakestreet Dive

by KG on 6/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great! The opening group Couch was so good and then Lakestreet Dive brought their great music, energy and fun to the stage! Even with our crazy weather here in Utah that night it didn't stop us from singing and dancing along! Love them!

  • All the happy feels

    by Kat c on 6/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

Couch was so great! Never heard them before and now a new favorite! Lake Street was all the happy feels! They didn't play "call off the dogs "though! :( Love the Sandy Amp venue!

  • It was cold but the band was HOT!

by Great concert on 6/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time. LSD sang all the favorites and some new songs too, kept the audience up and moving and singing along! Even the wind and the cold couldn’t keep Lake Street Dive nor its audience down!!

  • Fun Show

  • Awesome show from an awesome band

by Rich on 5/20/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a great show. The band was into it and it carried over into the audience, as well. I've seen Lake Street Dive before and they never disappoint!

  • Great Energy

by GTO on 5/20/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

High Enegry performance! Loved seeing this band with GA. Starting off standing is the way to go. It allows you to get into the show right from the start! The horn section brought this show to another level. And of course, the Capital Theater in Port Chester, NY is iconic and always provides a great experience.

  • A must- see band!

by Robert on 5/19/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Lake Street Dive at the Capitol Theatre in New York. If you have heard their music, on CD or Spotify, or wherever, and you like what you hear, then you need to see them Live! This is a Must- See band! They are that good! They really are Good Together (no pun intended). Enjoy.

  • Too much talking in the audience

by Deb on 5/19/25The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 4 out of 5

They were great! They are always great but the audience was so loud back at the bar that it was hard to hear from out Premiere Seats. We were the very first row of seats which was great as anyone in front of us was in General Admission and standing. I was ver annoyed though that so many people were takling constantly!
