About

Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, not only through their eclectic sound--a boldly original cross-pollination of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more--the five-piece's all-embracing ethos has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection among every crowd. In the making of their GRAMMY-nominated album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they refer to as "joyful rebellion," Good Together arrives as a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along.

The follow-up to 2021's Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart's desire. Next, on "Dance with a Stranger," Lake Street Dive once again prove their undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message, simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The wildly cathartic "Walking Uphill" presents gripping meditation on the work of self-repair, while "Seats at the Bar" puts a sweetly playful twist on the classic love song. And on "Twenty-Five," Price shares a stark and lovely ballad steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that's fueled the band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

Phenomenal artists, perfect venue, great food, respectful fans.

  • Great Show

by LSD Fan on 8/21/25Thompson's Point - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The show was awesome, both the opening act and Lake Street Dive were amazing. The venue could use some work. Make it more comfortable for people standing for the show. The ground was very dusty and uneven, hard to feel comfortable on your feet for several hours.

  • Lake Street Dive is awesome!

by Gogs on 8/21/25Thompson's Point - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Thompson's Point is a wonderful venue, with excellent food trucks and beer selections. The sunsets alone are worth the price of admission! And this evening, both Sammy Rae and the Friends and Lake Street Dive were on fire. Very energetic concert and crowd!

The show was fantastic! Food trucks were wonderful & we snacked at as many as we could. Can’t wait for another show soon

  • Worth the Wait

by Nana on 8/20/25Thompson's Point - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

For some of us, it was the first time at Portland’s fabulous venue. Everyone’s energy was high as we’d been listening to LSD playlists and singing our hearts out. Sammy Rae & The Friends was a great choice for a warmup and had us primed for the main event. Lake Street Dive did NOT disappoint! Loved the set list and their connection to each other as well as the crowd. Loved the addition of the horns. Only wished they played a bit longer.

  • Pretty mid, not exciting.

by Maine Musician on 8/19/25Thompson's Point - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Her vocals were good, a couple songs were good. The rest was all filler, and sounded extremely repetitive and basic. They did a lot of covers and butchered one badly. Mom jeans are in style again, but I still couldn't get behind the aesthetic. The venue was amazing as usual, and the event staff actually had to go out and encourage people to cheer louder for the encore. There was less energy than I've seen at a live show before. I saw people in the front standing area yawning more than once.

  • AMAZING

by TheJimmyHart on 7/23/25Avondale Brewing Co. - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not a huge Lake Street Dive fan but I went with a friend because I really wanted to check out the venue, as I'd never been. The show was lot of fun, the energy was great and the venue exceeded expectations. I was impressed by how diverse the crowd was, in every sense. This bad has some incredibly talented members!

  • Terrific time

Avondale Brewing ran a smooth operation. Really a very hot evening and they were passing out complimentary waters. Of course Lake Street was amazing and the sound production was flawless.

    by Andrew on 7/4/25Channel 24 - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Lake Street Dive is an amazing band. One may expect Rachel Price to steal the show being such a great singer (which she is - if unfamiliar put professor Google to work and review her lifetime of work) but she doesn’t. But she shares the stage well with her band mates who are all incredible musicians in their own right. I’m no expert but I’d guess Bridget Kearney is way underrated for her upright bass work - love watching her jam. Apparently, she’s quite the prolific and successful songwriter in her own right. Akie is great on keyboard and his vocals are incredible in my layman’s opinion. Mike Calabrese (drums, backup vocals) and James Cornelison (guitar, backup vocals) I’m sure are equally talented as the rest but what they added to the experience for me is that they just seemed to be having a really fun time up there (Mike almost never stopped smiling) - it is fun watching someone really enjoy what they’re doing. Apologies for not knowing but they added a percussionist that I don’t know but she was a nice addition. Their songbook is large and all excellent and their famous covers (I want you back and Rich Girl) and done so well, energetically and fun. For a few songs they all gathered tightly in the middle of the stage - Rachel, Bridget and James in front, Mike sitting on a bar (a prop intended to be a pub counter/bar,) and Akie in back. This really worked. It was really nice. The venue, Channel 24 Sacramento, was great. It’s mostly general admission which is standing only. This could be a concern for some but it was ok for us. We arrived early enough to be right up front. If seating is a priority for visitors, some seats are available on the upper level but they are quite expensive compared to general admission so we will stick to GA and be up front. LSD is a great, positive, energetic band and a really fun show. IDK but I’d guess they all are really great human beings too as I can’t imagine creating something so positive otherwise. Even if you’ve only heard some of their stuff I recommend getting to a show as I can guarantee you’ll leave feeling good.

  • See them!

by James Paul on 7/1/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

They're a lot of groups trying to keep real music alive but no one does it better than Lake Street Dive!

  • Fantastic show with an extra surprise!

by Jayday on 7/1/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

It was easy to access the venue at the Great Park in Irvine but parking was paid, whereas it hadn't been before and there was no mention on the website. Beware! The venue are sticklers about the exact size of a purse you can carry in. Lake Street Dive was fantastic. Sound and visuals were great. Jon Langley trumpeter and Negah Santos percussionist of Colbert Late Show band and other members of the Huntertones Horns played with LSD band members. Pure magic! Singer Rachel Price has a voice that is so special and shouldn't be missed. She sang the loud lively tunes and the soft bluesy tunes with equal skill and beauty.

  • Fabulous

Great band , being the first time to see them and knowing only a few songs . Wow can't wait to see them again.

  • Everyone's Favorite Dive Bar

by JayWalker on 6/30/25Great Park Live - IrvineRating: 4 out of 5

Lake Street Dive rolled into Irvine's Great Park and gave us a great show Friday night. It's a lovely venue with easy parking, plenty of food, and a relaxed atmosphere made for a good crowd who showed their enthusiastic appreciation for the band. The band was sharp as they moved thru pieces from their extensive catalog. Rachel Price was her at her frontwoman best, leading her mates thru their paces, to the delight of the crowd. my only quibble was with the sound system, that seemed a little muddy with respect to the sound of Rachel's vocals; kinda lacked that crisp tone our ears are accustomed to. Aside from that, The band worked without a break for almost two hours, and most of us were on our way home, smiling, by ten pm.
