About

Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, not only through their eclectic sound--a boldly original cross-pollination of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more--the five-piece's all-embracing ethos has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection among every crowd. In the making of their GRAMMY-nominated album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they refer to as "joyful rebellion," Good Together arrives as a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along.

The follow-up to 2021's Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart's desire. Next, on "Dance with a Stranger," Lake Street Dive once again prove their undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message, simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The wildly cathartic "Walking Uphill" presents gripping meditation on the work of self-repair, while "Seats at the Bar" puts a sweetly playful twist on the classic love song. And on "Twenty-Five," Price shares a stark and lovely ballad steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that's fueled the band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

  • Great experience at the Greek

    by CC on 7/31/24Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely loved seeing Lake Street Dive. Great concert. Looking forward to a return one day because I will be there. Now that I know how hard that concrete is on your body though, I will bring a cushion for my toosh.

  • Lake Street Dive head first

    by PCCOO on 7/31/24Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic show.... I mean everything was great, from the cool evening which was welcome to the crowd anticipating LSD to the opening act with Celisse starting it all off. The venue is always fun and with some improvements made to the facility made even better. The sounds and band was killing it and hitting all the right notes. Lead vocalist Rachael Price was amazing and has such a professional stage presence we knew it was going to be an incredible show

  • A wonderful combination of old and new songs

by Number one fan on 7/31/24Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

I loved this preformance. The combination of the new songs played so well with the older songs. I was thrilled to see the inclusion of horns, that added such layers with songs like "Mistake". I have seen LSD many times, and I could tell Rachel's voice was not at her usual high octane level, but she still put on one heck of performance, along with the rest of the band.

Pure joy! They looked as if they were having as much fun on stage as the crowd was having in the seats.

  • Great Voice and Stage Presence

by Enjoyed the Show on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Do yourself a favor and go see these guys. Rachael's voice and stage presence is amazing. She is very comfortable on stage. We also enjoyed the horns they had playing with them. The only dislike we had was Bridgette's, the bass player, voice. It does not harmonize with Rachael's.

  • perfect show

by Dino in WeHo on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

these guys get better every time I see them. if you love a patois of rock, soul, R &B, jazz, pop and disco, oh and covers of Shania Twain and Hall & Oates tunes, go see LSD! Joyous is the best way to describe their shows

by Kim & John at the Greek! on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

On a gorgeous summer night at the Greek, Lake Street Dive put on a fantastic show. Rachael Price's voice is beautiful and her range is beyond amazing! Every band member is so talented & the cohesion, camaraderie and sharing of the spotlight between the musicians was very special. Had an amazing time and left the show feeling so uplifted! Thank you, Lake Street Dive.

  • FANTASTIC

by Dawn on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I’d never heard of this band but was gifted the tickets because of Covid. The band was absolutely fantastic! The band grabbed everyone from the opening till the end . Even after the encore the audience wanted more. I hope they play the Greek again next year.

  • Great Live Band

by Sylvie on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

I’ve been a fan for a couple years, but their live show was above and beyond expectations. They are so much fun, amazing musicians and vocalists. Rachael got the whole crowd up and dancing. I loved the stage set and the songs were engaging and then intimate at times. Celisse was a fun and funky opener and the Greek Theater was also great. My only complaint was their ridiculously overpriced food and drinks that were mediocre. The shuttle service was also easy to navigate, but expect to wait a long time for one after the show.

  • great show!

wonderful energy, Great opening act -Celisse was fantastic! never sat in the. terrace section of the Greek before but seats are not bad would recommend getting seats near the edge - 1,3,5,7.

  • Loved it!

    by CMS13 on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I love this band. They’re all such great musicians. Took my wife for her birthday and we had an amazing time. Celisse was a great opener. Very fun vibe. Overall great experience with the concert. Definitely will watch them again whenever they decide to come back. How can you not love Rachael Price’s voice. Just incredibly beautiful! My only complaint was for venue… $50 parking! When the heck did it get so expensive to park a car??

  • Perfect Combination of Band + Venue!

by Kyle on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Great show at The Greek in LA. The band was on fire and the crowd was equally up for the party! A show you would be upset to have missed!

  • Fantastic Band w/ REAL vocalist

by AM on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This band rocked. And a perfect example of a real vocalist with amazing talent- not a marketed pop star like Taylor Swift. The musicians were equally talented and stage presence of all performers made the effort to attend a live performance all worth it. I’m still singing the songs in my head and hope Lake Street Dive continues to produce and perform. Copy cats welcome!

  • Dance party!

by LiveMusicFan on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great night at the Greek! Celisse opened and got the crowd dancing and ready for LSD. LSD are even better live, and the dance party just kept going. We really appreciated the sustainability efforts and collab with Reverb. Hopefully, more bands and venues will see that it can be done.
