About

Lake Street Dive have pushed the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, not only through their eclectic sound--a boldly original cross-pollination of soul, folk, jazz, classic pop, and more--the five-piece's all-embracing ethos has also made them a beloved live band known for building a potent connection among every crowd. In the making of their GRAMMY-nominated album Good Together, vocalist Rachael Price, bassist/background vocalist Bridget Kearney, drummer/background vocalist Mike Calabrese, keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss, and guitarist/background vocalist James Cornelison reinforced the deep sense of purpose behind their output, often turning their attention to the many factors driving us apart today (e.g., unchecked technological growth, culturally imposed isolation, the cult of relentless self-optimization). Born from a mindset they refer to as "joyful rebellion," Good Together arrives as a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along.

The follow-up to 2021's Obviously, Good Together finds Lake Street Dive working again with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.). With its sonic landscape encompassing everything from R&B to funk to Brazilian pop, the album opens on its title track: a left-of-center love song celebrating the thrill of defying expectation and following your heart's desire. Next, on "Dance with a Stranger," Lake Street Dive once again prove their undeniable gift for crafting feel-good songs with an illuminating message, simultaneously inducing a carefree euphoria and gently fostering empathy. The wildly cathartic "Walking Uphill" presents gripping meditation on the work of self-repair, while "Seats at the Bar" puts a sweetly playful twist on the classic love song. And on "Twenty-Five," Price shares a stark and lovely ballad steeped in tender reminiscence of a long-ago romance. All throughout Good Together, Lake Street Dive tap into the palpable camaraderie that's fueled the band since their formation, ultimately delivering their most collaborative, expansive, and powerfully exuberant work to date.

Very entertaining show, talented songwriters, phenomenal performers, probably the tightest musicians I’ve seen. Rachael Price’s dazzling vocals and stage presence set her aside as a once in a generation talent.

  • Rachelle Price has the most beautiful voice

by So fun! on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This band is tight. Such talented people. What a fantastic night. They put on a great show and Rachael Price has the most beautiful voice. I don’t think she has a sour note in her. Wonderful set list and great new CD. Great time.

  • LSD is the best

by Mike S. on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

We've been following them for years and were so excited when they announced their Greek appearance. We've been anticipating this concert for six months. Their performance exceeded all our expectations. They are ready for headlining MSG! Horns were outstanding. A voice like Rachel Price's is once in a generation. If you enjoy live music, please do yourself a huge favor and go see them.

  • One of my favorite concerts

Lake Street Dive put on one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. Such amazing musicianship, harmonies, and good god Rachel Price can sing.

  • Excellent Show

by Mike the Printer on 7/30/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Lake Street Dive last year at the Hollywood Bowl. I thought they were great. This year at the Greek, they were even better. With another year of song writing and adding pieces to the band, I witnessed one of the best shows I have ever seen. The brass livened up the place and the songs from new album added so much depth to the show. I don't anything could have made the show better. As the evening progressed the energy increased. Rachael getting into the crowd and dancing to "Dance with a Stranger"with strangers was magic. The cover of "Rich Girl"was a very fitting way to end the show. Your show made me so happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mike

LSD sells out fast here, so I was lucky to finally see them this time around. Such a great band, especially live. Energetic funky music.

  • Band was great , venue not so much

by J Diaz on 7/19/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

Saw Lake Street Dive at the new St Louis Music Music Park . I will personally try to avoid this venue unless it's a band I really want to see. Paid $250 a ticket for front row and had a wall of standing room only people obstructing my view. I'm ok with that but cost of ticket for obstructed view should be less than the cost of a ticket for standing room only. Disappointed in venue.

  • Infuriating

by BueDog on 7/19/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

Love the band, love the music and the energy. But it was a horrible experience. We spent a fortune buying VIP tickets. We were seated in the front row. Ground level. However, there was a “pit“ area directly in front of us that had no seating. Two obese people in the pit stood directly in front of us less than 10 feet away. They blocked 80 to 90% of the stage. They did not move a single foot for four straight hours. They had lots of room to move around in the pit, but remained stationary, except for hanging all over each other. We “heard” the music. We saw virtually nothing. We could’ve asked them to move, but it would’ve been horribly awkward and uncomfortable, and, we were virtually certain that this couple would have been enraged. It was an unbelievable disappointment. We paid a ton of money for these worthless seats, and it is so frustrating when people are simply oblivious. It was an horrendous experience. Ugh!

  • The only band I prefer live over recorded

by Christopher on 7/19/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Always a great time, always a good show. My only complaint is that they did "Rich Girl"instead of "LOLA". Most bands live, to me, are overdriven and out of balance and hard to hear. Lake Street Dive is never like that. Also, Bridget is the hot one.

  • always a great time

by Joe on 7/17/24The Andrew J Brady Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Lakestreet Dive a number of places and times. This has been one of the best shows of theirs. They continue to get better and better. The variety they displayed last night was incredible. Fun! Exciting danceworthy songs, deep meaningful impactful songs. Just one amazing song after another. The crowd work was stellar! It was so good. I wanted to travel and see them again somewhere. Love this band.

  • LSD excellent show

by JM on 7/17/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Lake Street Dive really showcased the talent of every musician on stage. I found that unique in a band setting where often only a lead singer is highlighted. The trombone, sax, trumpet, bass, guitar, percussion all add to the depth and layering of the music. They aren’t playing my usual genre of music, but I enjoyed everything about this concert. The song order and banter among the musicians were perfectly choreographed. Well-planned and well-staged show. Of note, the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville is a great venue … even in the heat.

  • Great night of music
