About
With the energy and chaos of old-school rock n’ roll and a modern touch of sympathy and empowerment, JVK commands the crowd as soon as they step on stage. Originating in Boston, the band started out as the solo project of lead vocalist, Jo Krieger. Through encounters at local shows and responses to want-ads, Jo was introduced to Troy Welling, Atticus Crowley and Kay Kwiatek. The instant chemistry between the group formed the band JVK. Since conquering just about every sweaty basement in the Northeast, their growing audience is showing up to see the band perform in bigger, renowned stages, including the Louder Than Life festival this year. The band's newest EP Who Is JVK? shows the sonic and personal maturity the band has gone through since the release of their debut EP Hello, Again. The relatability found in their lyrics, combined with heavy guitar riffs and catchy melodies, turn the band’s music into a universal language, portraying a message in which everyone can feel confident.
