Not a good show at all we left after 15mins!! Not funny at all!!
The fact that I spent over $100 for three tickets to see Gilbert Gottfried at the Biloxi Hard Rock still makes me want to scream. He was absolutely awful. He's 58 and told jokes that might be told by someone in their 70's. There was nothing funny about the guy. The walk-outs came early and often. The first two left 15 minutes into the show. We were on the 6th row center and by the time we left an hour into the show because we just couldn't take it any more, there were 25 or more empty seats in the five rows in front of us. I had such high hopes, but he just never found the funny.Even his "blue material", which is the main reason we went to see him, was awful. He just isn't funny. Do not waste your money. A $10 ticket would be too much. We paid $35. Awful. Dreadful. Painful. Don't go. You WILL regret it.
Gilbert was great !!! I never stopped laughing . I highly recommend catching his show you will not be disappointed . The venue was fantastic I can't wait to go back .
I've seen three of his shows now and all of them were LOL experiences. Anybody who follows comedy will agree that he is easily one of the top 5 blue comedians in the business, arguably #1. I actually didn't like him when he fist came on the scene back in the 80's. I thought he was just annoying. But then a couple of years ago I saw one of his Showtime specials and it was one of the funniest specials I've ever seen. (and I've seen a lot !). That made me want to see him live and I'm very glad I did ! One drawback is that he does tend to repeat material in shows. But hey, so do all comedians.
The absolute single best comedy show ive seen hands down. Hust when you thought the last joke couldnt be beat he hits you with another then another. Great show would see again definitely.
I really liked how he was always in character and never stopped, never seemed to even pause between acts. It made it funny that there were not even transitions really between the acts. He was out there and did some unusual stuff but it was all great!
funny as all get out the whole show was awesome the opening guy was good Gilbert was hilarious wish he would have done alot more dirty jokes but only got to those at the end a must see if you love good old fashion comedy 2 thumbs up GO SEE GILBERT!
Started with the best (only?) laugh of the evening (see below) and quickly degenerated to telling jokes I learned from my father (dead 35 years and told them better) and bits that displayed contempt for his audience. I've heard GG before (never live) and know he can be very funny even when being controversial. This was not one of those nights.
A disaster! Funny for all the wrong reasons. 25-30 people, tops, in the crowd. Moments of complete silence. References as dated as the Riviera itself. Yikes!
Live in Vegas so see a lot of shows. Saw Gilbert last year at the Hilton and laughed my ass off. This year his act was even better. What a talented comedian. The manner in which he delivers jokes is priceless. What I did not like was the Riviera's lack of advertising this event and the way you pay for a "VIP pass" and then sit alongside the cheap ticket seats. I paid to see Gilbert at a premium (35 bucks) but feel ripped off by the hotel. The price you pay GILBERT is worth it, but not the price you pay this particular hotel for "premium seats".
If you haven't seen Gilbert Gottfried's standup you are missing out. He does a great job of playing the crowd and does a nice mix of bits. If you're easily offended, he might not be for you. The couple next to us walked out in disgust after the first 5 minutes or so, but I almost didn't notice it because I was too busy wiping the tears out of my eyes from laughing so hard.
Gilbert was very weird and seemed to be extremely drunk or high. His jokes took forever to set up and then the punch line was not funny.
He sucked! Was on stage for less than an hour. Saw him @ the Wilbur 1 1/2 years ago and he killed. This time the jokes had a familiar sound to them then he hit a point where I knew I definitely heard them before! Old irrelevent jokes and used the same props. He left the stage so abruptly he caught everyone off guard and the watresses didnt even cash out our bar tabs!!!! The local kid opening was good but took the brunt of the crowds anger when he tried to shill for Gilbert pictures after the show. I thought we were going to riot! Never again!!
expected a lot more. 45 min show for $38.00. first 40 min i thought i was attending a mister rogers re-run it was so clean.
very short, lots of old jokes, some funny Japan humor but overall not worth it
So much fun, just don't take anything personal, especially some of the audience members!
Awesome show!! Great venue. Will drfinetly see another shows here. Not expensive
He keept us laughing through his entire act. Every nationality is picked on in his nonstop A.D.D fueled act. You'll need to take out a Home Equity loan if you want to buy a few drinks at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston.
Very disappointing! Saw him last year and really enjoyed it. This show started at 8:45 with the opening act, Gilbert started at 9:00 was over by 9:45. He started out strong with Japanese jokes but reverted to same old routine as before. I would not see him again or recommend him. He does not seem to care about his fans. Shame on him!
Be opening at, Dan, was hilarious. Gilbert went on for only 45 minutes. His jokes were very out of date. I would never pay to see Gilbert again. Not worth my time nor my money
