The venue was good,I had never been there before. The sound great and his performance AMAZING. Abraham Alexander opened for him and he was really good too.

This was the most up close and personal concern I have ever been to. Friendly staff made for a warm entertaining event. Bravo to History

  • Wow!

by Excellent! on 5/28/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show. Gary performed for a full two hours until cut off by curfew. If not for that, I think he would have kept going. Didn't get to hear a couple of old favorites, but the new stuff from the new album was fabulous. Crowd totally into it. High energy performance. Great band and back-up singers. If you're on the fence, just go.

Gary Clark is absolutely amazing to see live! Also the inside venue at Artpark is great and so intimate!

  • Disappointing

by Fan from Ontario on 5/28/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 2 out of 5

First, for the venue. It's a great venue as far as viewing the stage is concerned but it was a cool evening and the doors on the sides were left open most of the night creating a strong, cold breeze on the back of my neck. It is hard to enjoy the show when you are physically uncomfortable. The sound was not bad but I could not hear the female backup singers most of the songs. As for Gary Clarke Jr- we discovered him in a movie we watched several years ago and at that time we loved his music but the music he does now is not that. While the crowd appreciated his new style, we did not. It's just not our type of music. That is our own fault for not checking out his recent releases and assuming he has not changed. We will certainly attend future concerts at Artpark but not until weather is warmer for sure.

  • Really Entertaining

by Don on 5/28/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

An incredible guitarist. Great voice and great music. Some technical glitches actually made the concert more fun. Light show was pretty cool. We would go to see him again.

My first time seeing him live. He and his band a great. Fillmore upper balcony is very uncomfortable if you're over 5'6". However, very friendly & helpful staff.

  • Good music.

by J Ankton on 5/24/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Not too many sound like the album live. Gary is one of my favorite artist he has definitely grown into his art. This was my 7th time seeing him. Elijah, JJ and his sisters singing back up is a great addition. This was my wife's second time going her first being right up front on the floor and she loved it. I highly recommend putting one of his shows on anyone's bucket list.

  • Great show- outdated venue

by Jh on 5/24/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Gary and band put on a great show. Seat spacing is way too tight and bathrooms need some work at this old but beautiful venue.

  • Great show

by Jojo on 5/24/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Great artist and love the small venue. Had a wonderful evening. Only wish the drinks were cheaper.

  • Great show except lights…

by Jerry on 5/24/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Really an amazing musical experience, wide ranging songs from his catalog, he is such an amazing artist. His backup band was very good as well. Only issue was light show was way too much in my face, and really interfered with my enjoyment of his performance. My grandson said it was Great as well. We enjoyed the Fillmore venue as well. Seating view was good and acoustics were excellent.
