I'd never been to The Met before Saturday and I will definitely go back. I will say I wish the preferred parking was a bit closer, considering it cost $50. However, the venue itself was really nice. Great service at the bars, and the sound was amazing.
Played all R&B for the most part, crowd barely moved. I remember the days he'd rock out and everyone couldnt get enough. Opening act was pretty weak too, especially compared to his previous acts. Everything soul now, no more rock or blues.
It was an amazing show as always put on by Gary Clark Jr. I was surprised with the pop up beer garden when we went thru the ticket booth but it was the perfect atmosphere as it was not too crowded and there were chairs and tables throughout. The staff was very attentive; walking around and updating when the show would begin.
Great show with Gary. Good music, vocals, vibe and venue. MGM Fenway is a nice venue, seats are a little cramped though. Not enough leg room, like a coach class seat on a bargain airline.
My boyfriend and I had seen Gary Clark, Jr. five years ago at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tennessee and couldn’t wait to have the opportunity to see him perform live again! The MGM Fenway was a fantastic venue for him to play and the entire concert was spectacular—one we will never forget!! He played for well over two hours and the music was great the entire time. Worth every penny we paid!! The ICING on the cake was running into him walking down the street by himself right outside MGM two hours before the show! We got to talk to him for a few minutes and shook his hand. The absolute COOLEST man ever!! Love, love, loved it all!!
Venue was decent and sounds good, would attend another show there. Gary play exceptionally well and kept the groove going except pauses between songs...set list is a bit eclectic but played a lot of my favorite. He's right...we need a new revolution!!!
Puts on a hell of a show. I’ll definitely be seeing him when he comes back to Boston again
finally long awaited show of gary clark jr. show about 2hrs with pauses of audio n frustrastion issue. but overall worth the wait with level 305 and great seats. thxz again mgm fenway
Gary Clark Jr played an amazing set over his full catalog. The albums do not capture the energy of a live show from Gary. Get your tickets when he’s in town! Gary = 10/10 The venue as usual was a bit sketch… a couple folks blacked out from partying too hard. Only one had to be carried out. And I’m still afraid to ask why my shoes were sticking to the floor. The Fillmore (venue) = 3/10
Been a fan for a while, first time I saw him he opened for Tedeschi-Trucks. Excellent musician. Show was a little flashier than I needed. I would have liked to hear more R and B, and Blues. I did bring earplugs, expected it to be loud and it was. Nice venue, very comfortable inside, reserved seating. Easy walk from parking area.
Gary Clark Jr is something you want to see and experience live , not only his great voice and guitar virtuosity but he is so humble, kind and generous with the audience. It was one of the best shows i’ve seen in my life and i’ve seen quite a few. The band is unbelievable , all world class top musicians. The sound and lighting was perfect , not to mention the most beautiful venue at the historic Palace Theatre . Do yourself a favor and go see him play !
GCJR was everything I expected, fire on guitar and a really great singer. His entire band is on point, go see them if you get the chance.
Excellent concert, Gary C. was on fire, the band was awesome, great sound, awesome stage show! Venue was looking good.
A phenomenal performance from one of the best guitarists/songwriters in music! HUGE THANKS to Kevin Johnson and the Palace Team for a spectacular performance
What a show! From Gary’s commanding stage presence and sound, to captivating lighting choices, I was simply stunned. If you want to see how a pro does it, Gary’s your guy! Palace Theatre Albany, NY is just about as acoustically perfect as theaters get, which also adds to the show.
Blown away! Gary is incredible, the Band is killer, don't miss your chance to see Gary Clark Jr!
Gal who was the one-person band was awful - no one in the stands could understand why she was chosen. And Gary Clarke was not at his best. Sound system was a mess and he stayed away from any blues or rock that he has been known for. I saw him with Clapton and he killed it. This show was a mess.
Gary and the band were amazing. Weather was perfect for the fairgrounds and The Shed sets up for an amazing experience! Looking forward to more shows throughout the summer!
Gary Clark Jr. showed up and shredded the guitar, and played a lot of songs from his new album JPEG raw, which show his range as more than just a blues guitarist. He and his band enjoyed the venue at the Outdoor Salt Shed and treated the crowd to fantastic solos all around in every song.
