Many weeks before I could not purchase seating and resigned to the lawn. At the start of the show concert folks were handing out pit passes and then coming around, especially to the lawn group offering seating tickets. There were a dozens of empty seats in the rear. Why? Why could I not buy seats weeks, actually a couple months out? Don't know who I care for less, Live Nation or Ticketmaster.
Was there for Gary Clark Jr. Was in the crowd when Iron Maiden played RMH. All great stuff. Saw Gary in Red Rocks in CO. Incredible venue, did not pay $55 for two drinks an a box of M&M's. During times of disasters, they call that price gouging, and that became something you could be prosecuted for. Airplanes are cheaper than this place, and they are at 35,000 feet above NYC.
Gary Clark Jr tore up the stage and lit the night on fire!!! Curfew was 10pm and he played til 9:58pm!!! Thank you guitar god!!!
Incredible artist. If you like blues go see this guy. It's like going to church. This will be my third time and it keeps getting better and better. Sound was great and the Stone Pony staff always on top of things.
Easy entry, great space, fantastic sound. Wide range of music. Very talented and seasoned band!
Excellent show as always. Not too many artists that can play guitar like Gary Clark Jr. anymore.
Gary Clark Jr put on a great show. Radio City is a fabulous venue.
Gary delivered a great show. He's really a great guitar player. The audience was very much into it. The theater wasn't completely sold out but pretty well filled. And he brought a bunch of guest artists onto the stage who were pretty good. Overall a great evening with a lot of fun.
Gary can shred and sing like no other. That’s all you need to know.
As always Radio City is a great venue and even better Gary Clarke Jr. is sensational right from his smooth guitar to his soothing voice. Great show!!!
He was great! Loved the music and what he sang to. Go!!
I had looked forward to the show since my black keys/Gary Clark show was canceled way back during Covid. I bought these tickets months in advance, and was pumped up to go enjoy myself. I purchased front row seats in the third mezzanine. Got there to find out that due to low ticket sales, the entire third mezzanine would be closed, and I would be stuffed into a random section with trash seats. My wife is recovering from knee surgery, and I bought front row seat so that she could remain seated and not have people standing in front of her. They stuffed us in a section where everyone was standing, and my wife could not, therefore she could only listen to the show. Should have just stayed home and spun the record instead. As far as the actual show went, set list was a little week, and the special guests that came out to join we’re definitely not that special. 2/10, would not repeat.
Thanks Gary - 5th time is a charm!!! Can’t wait for the sixth!
For the night of June 11th, Gary Clark, Jr. was the best guitarist on the planet. Playing multiple guitars; using slide, note bending and intense soloing- he owned Radio City. He displayed his love for soul, channeling his love Marvin Gaye, and showed how versatile he is as a performer. Free Nationals opened up with energy and serious musical chops. This was a value packed show that over delivered.
First time experience at Radio City, and what an amazing show for my first time. Seats were pretty good considering (Orchestra 7 all the way down) the angle they were at, and it was a truly mesmerizing experience seeing GCJR. Not much more could be said than that
Surprise to see that the event was not sold out! Gary & co were very good on some songs, good in a few and ok in the rest. Guess my expectation was to see him perform his popular numbers.
Incredible venue and incredible show. Gary Clark Jr is a remarkable talent
Throughout GCs set I felt he was CHANNELING Marvin Gaye…it was a GERRRGREAT SHOW. Hope to see him again…Yaas!
What can be said about Gary Clark Jr? The performance was amazing. The sound, the skill, the band. Everything was just perfect. Opening band was great as well. Took a little bit to get the sound right but all in all a great show. Radio City was great with timing. Said the show starts at 8 and it started at 8 on the dot. No delays. I give the show 4 stars only because of the people. Radio City Music hall isn’t a venue where you stand for a show. The seats aren’t designed that way. Alas there were less than half of people standing making it difficult to see the show. Other than that, I would love to see GCJr live again.
