    Underwhelming

by PK on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I am a Disney adult and love most Disney experiences. This experience was a complete let down. It was apparent that the casts didn’t practice enough (didn’t harmonize well, forgotten lines and being out of breath). In addition, the crew seemed to follow when mics needed to be on for certain casts. The entire party of nine thought it would’ve been a more enjoyable experience to watch Encanto on TV at home.

A dazzling production -- beautifully produced and performed!

by Adryan on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

My only issue is that Ticketmaster gave me the wrong night, then charged me $90 to change to the night I originally asked for. But the production itself was outstanding. The cast, the musicians, the graphics, the fireworks -- the best.

    Not worth the money

by Disappointed fan on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

$107 for nosebleed seats. Here are some stats. It was freezing, 6/8 songs had an error in it of some sort. Long story short, not worth the money. I rather have spent that money upgrading my TV and watching the concert on Disney plus with the subscription with my hot chocolate.

The traffic and busing to and from the venue was pure hell

by Mbl on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Shuttles were late. We missed first 30 mins of show. At end of show poor crowd control and buses were late to pick up. Took an hour.

    Amazing!

by Cassie on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

We had a fabulous experience at the Hollywood Bowl. While our seats were up in L2, they were still great. We weren’t close, but we could still see the stage and actors, plus the screens around the bowl gave us lots of options to look at. The actors sang beautifully, as well as danced and performed true to their characters. The projection of the house, jungle and cave on the bowl stage was impressive. The stage/set was impeccably designed and you felt like you were in the movie. My kids are still talking about the performances and all the extra dancers that helped make the live-to-film concert the Magic’s experience it was. Definitely worth every penny, and then some!

    Worthwhile but chilly

    by Guardo558 on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The show itself was amazing. The stage and the performances were amazing. Only issue was the actual location being an outdoor theatre in November it was cold

    Great, except…

by Steve on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Production and set design and music were unbelievable. Choreography phenomenal. Singing performances were spectacular. BUT the sound mixing was horrendous. Mics were unevenly balanced. And disappointing Bruno sub in. Also would prefer if they didn’t show the whole movie and cut some parts to make it shorter. Quicker to the live performances. Everyone there has seen the movie at least once.

    Great Show!

by Ladra on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The show was excellent. Every bit of the show was better than ever expected. My son was in heaven and when I asked him "what was your favorite part?". He said, "all of it!" We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful show but started way too late

by EN on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The set design of the bowl was nothing short of spectacular, it became Casita for the night! Loved hearing the songs come to life by the original cast too. However, this event should have started at 6 or 7 pm given how many children were in attendance, an 8 pm start time was way too late.

It was amazing from beginning to end. The live signing was incredible. My kids love it.

    Loved it!

    by L. b. on 11/15/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Great (chilly) evening @ the bowl. Showing my kids the real life voices/actors/actresses that made Encanto was fun too. Good job Disney!

    Encanto at The Bowl

by Minvee on 11/14/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

This was a gorgeous experience! Visited on 11/11 for the first Encanto date. The visuals and projections were absolutely beautiful, not to mention the fireworks! The one thing I noticed was that the sound was very off - muted voices and music throughout - so that was a bit distracting and disappointing. But I hope this first date helped get it sorted for the second date because it was a wonderful show!!!

    We were disappointed

by Tina on 11/14/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Disappointed in the live version. Seemed like no one showed up for rehearsal. I had high hopes as the tickets where priced high. The show was not worth what we paid. Very sad.

    Did not meet expectations.

by AC on 11/14/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The program start time should have been earlier--maybe 6 or 7 so that the younger audience members (and many of them were) could enjoy the show. That night access to the Hollywood Bowl was a nightmare. The shuttle took just over 45 minutes from the LA Zoo. I overheard some say that their shuttle ride took one hour and twenty minutes! As for the show itself, bigger/closer screens would have those with seats further back. Perhaps the "live" part of the show could have been developed more beyond just the songs. The singers could have engaged in dialogue from the film leading up to the song to make the transition smoother.

    Poor Audio Experience

by DB on 11/14/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Unfortunately this show was a let down. The entire time during the concert I felt like the volume needed to be louder, and multiple families near me said the same thing. There were also times when you couldn't hear the singers very well over the orchestra. Additionally, microphones for the singers went out 3+ times throughout the show. The cameras also did a poor job following the singers and it was very difficult to track who was actually singing if you were sitting in the upper sections.

Show was good but technically disappointing.

by SharBear on 11/14/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Sound was not great at all. The large screens used did not show any close up of performers so never really got to see them. I understand they were taping for Disney Channel but for the audience it was a disadvantage although we enjoyed the evening.

    Encanto Live to Film

by Sandy on 11/14/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

This was a very poor production. The microphones would go in and out so you couldn't hear the singing, the movie, at one point was ahead of the actors on stage and the movie needed to be rewound, and not all original singers were there to perform.
