The set design at the Hollywood Bowl was spectacular. The orchestra was fine, but somewhat passionless. The rhythm section on stage was great. The dancers were fun. But the singing was appalling. Every "star" was yelling their songs, very pitchy, and sometimes so far away from being in tune it was extremely grating. So, basically, a show that looked great, sounded bad - and worse. What a shame, because it's a fun movie.
I don't like only having the option of an electronic ticket. I like paper tickets. Old school that does not think everything needs to be on a "phone". Would like option to print ticket so I do not have to rely on figuring out and remembering to bring phone. Some of us are just getting into a flip cell phone.
The audio was horrible. For us sitting in section W could not hear much at all. Performances were great. More tv screens in the back would have also been better.
My son and I had a great experience it was a wonderful show awesome fireworks afterwards highly recommend seeing. Great family experience.
First off the shuttle was terrible given we got a 6:30 time slot but didn’t arrive until 8 which is when the show started. The performance was fun but the mic volumes were a bit low and at some point I noticed some performers mics not working at all. But overall it was fun
This was an amazing show! The stage was so beautiful! The performances were amazing! I will never forget this experience!

I never seen a musical/ movie at the same time but it was fun! I enjoyed the performance of the actors and will definitely attend another.
Everything from the projections on the shell, to the live music, to the dancers and of course the movie, it was a perfect evening.
Super fun show. Cast performed amazingly and the light effects were so good! Production had some sound issues which is why I had to take a star off. Overall another great night at the bowl.
Besides the fact that the microphones continued to not work. The cast put on a great show and the bowl was transformed beautifully. Can’t wait to see it on Disney +
Great performance, didn‘t know they had all the original singers from the movie, that was a pleasant surprise. My son is 8 and enjoyed it very much. Love all the Encanto photo booths.
Sound engineers should have been better at melding voices and background- lots of glitches. Ill timed entrance of props- barely saw the large Bruno that walked in then abruptly out. And… there was no soul to the production. Fell very flat. The audience reflected that- I’m sure they expected everyone to be standing and singing but only the seven year old behind us was. People must have been upset with the ticket pricing for what we got.
I Went to see Coco live at the Hollywood bowl so I had some expectations going into this. The venue was easy and great as always however I think that that started way too late especially for a Disney kids movie, I wish it started at 6 or 630. The production was pretty disappointing, constant mic problems, and video production was only zooming out on the side screens. The top center screen was never really used to show what was happening on the stage. We sat in the middle of the middle and I couldn’t see much . I feel like the tickets were really expensive for what they were. I was hoping to have more acting and dancing throughout the movie instead of what felt like, spending hundreds of dollars to watch a movie. The cast is great and I saw their costumes on Instagram and they looked wonderful but I was never able to see that one stage due to the cameras

Constant mic problems the few times the cast was singing and video was zoomed out the whole time. We sat in the middle of the middle and I couldn’t see much. The side screens that usually zoom on the stage were completely zoomed out during each performance and the screen at the top was never used. I wish there was more dancing and acting throughout the movie so it didn’t feel like you paid hundreds of dollars, plus parking to watch a movie . Loved the cast of the movie !
Went to the Friday night showing of Encanto at the Bowl. Had not seen the movie before and thoroughly enjoyed, and the enhancements (live vocal talent, dancers, fireworks) were nice additions. There were two things I would have liked to have changed; 1) the host was a little too rah rah, reminding me of a warm up host for a game show 2) Disney had placed a couple of remote boom cameras at the edges of the seating areas to catch crowd reactions, and those kept obstructing our view.
There were some tech difficulties but the performance was amazing and all of the actors gave their all and you can tell they loved being there as much as I loved being there
I thought the performers were great, but the show seemed a bit unrehearsed. Also, I don’t believe it was a singalong, would have been nice if that was reiterated, especially to the woman and children sitting behind me - singing completely off key all evening! Overall, an average evening and would have been better if that woman and her children weren’t sitting behind me.
The Encanto live event was so much fun. The stage looked like the Madeigal’s casita which is never seen before. Despite a few glitches with the sound it was a super fun experience. We got to so g along with the actual voices from the movie. The fireworks at the end was something I had never seen before at the bowl either. It was so cool to see Lin Manuel Miranda come out and announce the show. Also the interactive piece with the app on our phones was super cool.
Enjoyed performance, seating was outdoors but appreciated that you can rent seat cushions for $1.
