What a combination of reactions and emotions of human spirit and genuine goodness in human respect and selflessness for concern for those in need. This was a lesson in how to really act like human beings towards each other. It made me want to be a proud Newfoundlander. The music, humor, good naturedness, and fast-paced experiences all led to a crescendo of love.
What an amazing and beautifully restored theatre! This was a show to uplift human spirit. A touching story presented in perfect lyrics and song. A great evening at the theatre.
My friend and I always go to the Saenger around this time each year for our birthdays in June. I was not sure if I was going to like this play. I really enjoyed this production of what happened to other planes and the people in this situation during 9/11. I have every intention of buying the book “The Day the World Came to town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim DeFede”.
I hadn’t heard of this show before a few months ago, and it is now one of my absolute favorites. In a world where so much bad happens, it shows that people can still come together in a time of crisis. Great cast, great songs, and a heart touching story line.
We saw this show at the Sanger Theatre in New Orleans and were astounded by it. The cast was uniformly excellent. The musicians who accompanied the show were outstanding. The Celtic vibe of the music helped to set the scene for a group of airplane passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, during the aftermath of 9/11. The show ran without an intermission, but we were so caught up in the story that the time passed quickly and it was over before we were ready. It was poignant, sad, and hilarious. The pacing was perfect; the staging was imaginative, and the music was terrific.
This high energy show contained a host of catchy tunes with a touching story of human solidarity. There were unmistakable folk elements to the music that added endearing authenticity. Bravo.
The storyline was phenomenal. The actors were great! I enjoyed the music, and I would recommend this play to others!
I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was a sad, funny, heartwarming show with great music.
Come From Away was fabulous! It made you realize that we are all wanting the same things from life. Acceptance, understanding and help when needed.
I wanted to see this show and a friend invited me to go on Saturday afternoon. I LOVED it!!! I loved it so much that I took my son, who is majoring in Musical Theatre in the fall, to the 6:30pm show on Sunday night and paid $133.00 for each ticket. My son was a baby on 9/11 and it was a deeply moving and funny show that helped us have an amazing conversation after the show. The music keeps playing in my head. The funny moments in the show help digest the seriousness of it. It's a masterpiece in humanity.
I'm lucky enough to attend plays often, and I'm old enough to have seen quite a few. "Come From Away" might be in my top ten. First, you're starting with a very emotional experience for everyone in America. Then you're showing the kindness of strangers. Adding music. And featuring great performers. They did a good job of telling a few individual stories to demonstrate the after-effects of 9/11. I highly recommend that everyone who has the opportunity go to this show!

Excellent pacing! They managed to tell a moving and compelling story, AND seamlessly provide the needed historical/demographical/geographic background--all within an hour and forty-one minutes! I have never seen a musical with so little dancing and yet so much choreography. It was very clever how they utilized the actors as multiple characters in such quick and smooth transitions. Speaking of quick and smooth, the set was well-designed to keep the action nonstop.
The 10 year Gander documentary hosted by Tom Brokaw is a must see if you have not seen it, I believe it is still on YouTube. The uninterrupted flow of the show is remarkable. The sound quality is not great, and has been an issue with other shows I have seen at this hall.
Took my 87-year old mom for Mother's Day. We laughed, we cried. CFA is simply excellent. Touring cast is top-notch, so much energy. Also, big thanks to Marcus Center staff for swiftly helping with my mom's walker.
I just loved this musical. It was well acted. The music was wonderful. The production was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about Come From Away. Go see it!!!!

I absolutely loved this show! "Come from Away" discusses Sept 11th and the days thereafter from an angle not often considered. The musical was thought-provoking, funny, and incredibly moving. The actors all played a number of different characters, having to use a wide variety of accents and mannerisms. It was a very well done show. I can't wait to see it again.
Loved everything about this show. Great music, dialogue, characterization, creative staging and such a wonderful, heartwarming story to boot. Highly recommend for all audiences.
Had a fantastic experience. It was our first time at Uihlein Hall and we were not disappointed. Come From Away was the best show I have seen in a long time. Happy to see a little piece of home🇨🇦
