Come From Away on Tour
The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.
Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!
The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
So creative in how this amazing story was depicted! Emotional and amazing!! Must see!
I have seen every production imaginable and this one is outstanding! The way it is staged, very simply, but so creative is fabulous...The music is fabulous...and bringing a true story to the stage is fabulous! You will laugh and cry and sing and clap and stomp your feet - if you love live theatre...don't miss this!
This show will warm your soul. We all remember where we were on 9/11/2001 and now I will remember this story too, as something positive that came of that horrible day. Amazing cast, incredible music. It will keep you smiling for days after. Thank you for coming to Detroit!!
Parking was very convenient in a off site lot directly across from Theatre. Prior to venue walked around retail store area.Great shops. Bar and refreshments served in theatre prior to show. Great theatre presentation and the vocals and music were great from everyone in the group. Visual and sound from all Seats was great. Looking forward to our next event in the future.
This show was the best show ever. From the acting to the storytelling to the music. The audience was brought in to the storyline and was kept captive in the sadness and the joy of people meeting people and people taking care of people in a time of stress. This show tells the story of people who opened up their hearts and homes to people in need. This is a story of the Canadian nation opening its heart to the world. The BEST SHOW EVER!
I loved the way 8 actors, along with lighting and creative chair placements, brought us to so many different places. The show brought me back to 9/11 in an interesting way, and shed new appreciation for my daughters who were not alive yet. Very entertaining!
You can't miss this show, it is fantastic. Great all the way around, the story line, the music and singing. I would suggest to anyone to go see this show.
An absolutely amazing musical!! Come From Away tells the story of a community that not only opened their doors but their hearts during a very sad time. Loved it!!
The show is an absolute must see for all Americans! To take one of the most tragic events in our country‘s history and turn it into a musical that is so uplifting is remarkable. The staging, characters, music, and humor all blended so well together that you found yourself totally immersed in the story! Don’t walk… Run to see this musical!
Celebration of the best in people. Saw a community put aside differences to make a difference
A wonderful way to spend an evening. The story itself was fascinating, the cast and crew excellent in every aspect! Would see this again (many more times) when it’s in the area........if you don’t even know what it’s about, it is thoroughly enjoyable and fun!
Loved the story. It was true to Newfoundlandlers! The music and the voices were outstanding! Well done!
It was a great play..funny...musical ..good story. Liked no intermission.
The music was great! I really was impressed with 12 actors changing their roles by wearing different clothes and talking in different languages and dialects. It was fast action with a very touching, heart-felt story. I like hearing of the friendships that were made on 9/11 and the fact that people bonded and continued to communicate and visit one another in future years.
The show was extremely well presented. The actors drew you in and enjoyably entertained. Though the subject matter brings back horrific memories, to see a reenactment of how this small Canadian town handled a difficult situation with compassion warmed the heart. The humorous moments made us laugh. We have recommended this play to several friends both American and Canadian.
Loved it! I’d see it again. Very clever how actors changed roles and never left the stage. High energy. Loved the musicians.
This is my second time seeing this play. One minute you have a lump in your throat at the sadness and the next moment you are laughing. The cast compared very well with their Broadway counterparts. The one thing better on Broadway was the acoustics in a smaller theatre. At times words in some songs hot lost at the Fisher.
Absolutely loved this play from beginning to end! The story of what the small towns of Canadians did on 9-11 was simply amazing! The cast played dual or several roles as they moved from passengers to town folk. Enjoyed the music of this true event!
Outstanding cast. The musicians playing at the end made me feel as if I were in Gander ❤️
Absolutely the best play I ever seen. I loved all the Canadian connotations (ie went to Shopper's). The cast was delightful and so talented. The music was amazing. Worth every penny for the ticket and more. I don't know if I smiled or cried more during the whole show. Knowing it's a true story is touching. Definitely recommend seeing it.
