Come From Away on Tour
The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.
Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!
The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
I had seen Come From Away Twice. I was wondering how this road production might be. Turns out the were great.
From the story to the talented cast and from the venue to the music, Come from Away was one of my favorite musicals of all time. Only challenge was use of digital tickets - to many steps and no paper option as backup.
This show is amazing. So emotional and uplifting, especially if you remember the events of 9/11. Incredible music, filled with humor and moments that will make you gasp.
An amazing show to see. The music was really well done- kudos to the musicians! The music and whole flow of the show was different than a lot of musicals in a great way! There were serious parts and also funny part to keep the show light hearted when it needed to be. The acting/singing was simply amazing. Kudos to the whole cast and crew!
This is one of my favorite shows. It tells the story of what happened on 9/11 when some planes were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland. It is heartwarming, uplifting, sad, and so funny! This is a must-see show.
Oh my goodness. This was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen live. So amazing! The whole production and soundtrack is so amazing and touching. Highly suggest.
I saw "Come From Away"first in Chicago and then as it was touring in Bloomington, Indiana, this performance of this situation on 9/11 is full of heart, comedy, tears and laughter! Go see it twice, pay for someone else to go see it, urge people to see it, tell people you'll reimburse them the price of the ticket if they don't like it. Safest bet ever!
I had wanted to see this when It first opened on Broadway but was never in New York when I had time to do so. I don't know that I would have seen a more amazing or wonderful performance if I had seen it there rather than here at the Winspear. So much energy & such a flawless performance. Many kudos to the cast for such a fabulous evening watching your performance.
I knew the premise of the story and couldn’t figure how they were going to make it happen. The production was highly enjoyable how they were able to work the set was very imaginative, from bar to airport to plane to hotel to plane etc… The Winspear experience was first class. Thumbs up to everyone involved
I am an boardwalk Dallas series regular and absolutely loved the show. The venue is always amazing.
I woke up and was unable to attend the 1:00 performance, which means I was unable to get a doctor's confirmation. I had Allianz insurance and hope there is not a problem. I heard only rave reviews about this show. I was looking forward to seeing this show, as it had been highly recommended by many friends and family.
What an incredible story and show. Incredible blocking/choreography with a stellar cast.
My daughter and I have only seen the screen version and we were so excited to see the show LIVE. And this cast did not disappoint!!! we absolutely loved it!!!
One of the most uplifting and best shows I have seen. The cast was great. Highly recommend!
AT&T Performing Arts Center is a beautiful venue. Tip: spend the extra $10 for Valet parking in the Red garage. They were soooo efficient--we were on the highway literally 10 minuters after show ended. Lighting and sound was amazing. The performers are all elite-level talented. Incredible how they perform at such a high level night after night after night. A must-see show for sure.
Come from Away was entertaining, uplifting, poignant and fun, with a great cast and fabulous music. We were in the boxes left of center when facing the stage and the sound wasn’t always great. We did love the Winspear Opera House venue, though, and highly recommend this experience.
Enjoyed the play, very well performed. Tears and Laughter throughout. Venue - building was great, however help seemed misinformed & did not know what was going on. "Find someone with a vest". A map of the layout would have been helpful. Had also purchased parking but were unable to find the lot to park in. Printout with QRC code gave directions. We followed it exactly, nothing there but a sign saying parking lot closed. Ended up parking right out front of the venue (free). Notified Park Whiz... they are "checking into it"Did ask parking attendant at the venue and he said he never heard of Park Whiz.
We were on top deck, far left. Couldn't hear the words, missed the punch lines when people laughed. What was the play about? I have no idea. I actually napped off and on. I heard screams. The only props were 12 chairs and 3 tables. I had difficulty getting tickets. Too expensive. Parking ticket ...too expensive. I doubt if I will ever attend another show. Ticket master charges too much. Popcorn $8. Water $5. Everything too high. It's all about the money!!!
Very good performance, but volume needed to be louder. We missed many parts as we could not hear. Everyone we talked to in our area said the same.
We saw this show in McAllen TX. Words cannot describe all of the feelings that come to you during the fabulous performance. It was a perfect show to see during the holidays. I remember 9/11 well, but I didn’t think about all of the planes being rerouted and what the towns’ people had to do to accommodate 7K people. I loved the actors, the music and the storyline. People helping each other, growing from the experience and ever changing to the realizations is the key.
