  • Must see to believe!

    by THX1138Matt on 9/12/12Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

There is no way to describe the Buckethead show with words that could possibly do it justice. His speed, range and articulation are beyond description and at times, beyond comprehension. Mix in some bizarre theatrics and you get an incredible show thatin never disappoints.

  • Buckethead at the Fillmore

by thecoolestguy on 9/9/12The Fillmore - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Buckethead was awesome, but the show was way too short: like 1:10 of actual music and another 10 minutes of goofing off. Thought there'd definitely be an encore, but the lights came on and that was it.... Not exactly worth $45 bucks, but I've paid more for less entertaining shows by other artists in the past, so those are the breaks. Probably won't be spending money to see him again.

  • Frankenstein Bros

    by Littlebigman174 on 4/5/12Crocodile Rock - AllentownRating: 4 out of 5

Was an amazing show. Sound quality was awesome. It wasn't too packed so you could easily go outside for a cig or move around if needed. I'm short so I didn't always get the best view, but other than that, great show and venue.

I was not sure what expect. But once he got started I knew this was my kind of concert. I rank Buckethead among the best in the world.

  • Way more than just music

    by aaron3dg on 3/27/12Rams Head Live! - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Usually with shows like this, I expect only the hardcore fans and musicians to enjoy the concert, and everyone else to be bored (Primus is a good example). Only, there were so many hilarious and just plain cool non-musical moments that happened in between awesome music that I can't help but think anyone and everyone would have a great time at these shows. To be fair, the "main" act was the Frankstein Bros., which is a combination of Buckethead and a gentleman by the name of That 1 Guy. I had never heard of him before, but that didn't stop his music from engaging and fun even for the first time seeing them. He uses this device called the Magic Pipe, which allows him to be a functioning one man band. The opener, a guy named "Wolff", played techno with a tuba. A TUBA. He used an array of effects to create these huge musical landscapes, all with just 1 instrument.

  • Guitar shredding at its finest!

by GraceSlick on 3/16/12Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Buckethead in concert is like the "awesome guitar solo finale" that makes the whole show, only his solo last for 2 hours straight. He makes you want to give up your job and follow him to each venue he plays at. Unbelievable guitar, great music!!

  • Genius

by TrowerPowerWower on 3/16/12Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Wolff... Genius That 1 Guy... Genius Buckethead... An Absolute Genius I am realitivly a new Buckethead fan, say about a year or so, although I have been aware of him for some time, so when I got a chance to see him live I was not sure what to expect. I was blown away! The thought that kept going thru my head was GENIUS!

  • First concert I ever attended! Outstanding!

by Anonymous on 2/14/129:30 Club - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding, he blew everyone away. That show made me a lifetime Buckethead fan, and I sorta picked the show out at random - it was my first concert ever, so I picked a name out of a hat, not knowing this man would become my favorite musician alive.

  • Buckethead is Amazing!!!

by insieme365 on 9/30/11B.B.King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Buckethead gave his all at the performance. He played just under 2 hours STRAIGHT, except when handing out toys. Everyone there was loving it! Japanese movies, toys on stage, fun themes like star wars, amazing sounds coming from his guitar - come on, who else does that? I saw him at the same venue 2 years ago. He sounded great then, great that night, and I would see him again and again and again. He's an amazing talent.

  • Disappointed

by Madlittlesis on 9/25/11Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 2 out of 5

I took my husband and a couple of friends to this show as a birthday present to my husband. He has been a big fan of Buckethead for a long time. Overall I have to say that we were very, very disappointed. It was not what we were expecting at all. This show was a huge let down. No band, just pre-recorded hard-core metal in the background the whole time. It was like watching him jam in his basement, and not in a good way. And the old Japanese movie playing on the screens behind him was just a distraction. I do still think he's a great guitar player, and I've seen some recordings of him from shows just a few days later that sounded much better than what we saw. I hope we just caught him on a bad day. I might go to see him again at a smaller venue, but only because my husband is such a big fan that I'd probably give him one more chance.

  • Too much solos

by AustinLucido on 9/24/11State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 4 out of 5

Doors opened at 8. Show at 9. he came on at 10:36 opening act lynx was done at 9:20. He left us standing for over an hour. Played till 11:57. Lynx was really good, alot sounded the same. Bucket was cool, I wish he would have played more popular songs instead of jamming and technical picking. He was crazy no encore though. When he gives out the chainsaw tr show is over. Wear earplugs if you want to hear anything the next day.

Buckethead was amazing, best show I've been to in a long, long time Opening act was weak though, just a woman singing over computer generated music, and occasionally playing painfully simple stuff on various instruments.

  • Buckethead is insane!!!!

    by Gold007 on 9/24/11State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

He was very good. I would have liked to see a little more diversity in his selection of music. He has a lot of great songs he wasn't able to do or have time for.

  • Buckethead's chopping good time

by ELRock on 9/23/11Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I'm a HUGE Buckethead fan so I knew it was going to be awesome but his performance exceeded my expectations. I can't wait until he's back in town again. Don't hesitate to see Buckethead live, you won't regret it.

  • Great Show...OK venue

by DocChopper on 9/23/11Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Buckethead is amazing on guitar. His show is a trip! Between the solos, the Robot, the big bag of toys and the nunchaku, it is a campy night you won't soon forget. The opening act was OK but I think he should tour with the Unknown Comic!!! As for the Culture Room....it is what it is.

  • by Anonymous on 9/23/11Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show Buckethead played for 90 minutes straight.
