The quality of the performance was absolutely top-tier. I had the honor of listening to the full orchestra with a full chorus made up of men, women, and even children. The quality of the HD film presentation was also very high, and so was the sound (dialogue, etc.). I heard many people mention that it sounded so perfect that it almost sounded like the original recorded film score. Since it was heavily microphoned, you couldn't always tell where the music was coming from. One woman even said she had thought they were playing over the existing music - which was not the case. I know the music from these films very well - and there were constant subtle differences. The performances by the solo vocalists was also amazing. I highly recommend this show, as well as the talent involved.

This was one of the best shows I have been to. I am an avid LOTR fan and I listen to the soundtrack often while I work to help keep me focused. The music was exact, crisp and SPOT ON for the entire movie. Please do the Two Towers and The Return of the King

I would definitely recommend this performance. The Dallas Pops was flawless and superb. Can we expect "The Two Towers" with the Dallas Pops? That would be awesome!

Hard to say enough - boy the Dallas Pops worked hard (played 3.25 hours with only one break) and the music was excellent. They didn't miss a beat. Great to see FOTR on the big screen again with a full house.

Wonderful show :) take people who think despondently about LOTR. This is sure to win them over.

I'd heard good things about these concerts, which have been performed in various cities for the three LotR films, and we were not disappointed. We had great close seats (so we could be close to the music), and they did not disappoint. Seats a bit farther back offered better viewing of the film (less light "noise" / diffusion from the lights in the orchestra pit), but I'm glad we sat where we did. The Dallas Pops were excellent, as was the chorus and the individual performers, especially Clara Sanabras, whose beauty was exceeded only by her voice, which was stellar. The score for LotR will age like a fine wine - one of the most brilliant movie scores I've ever heard (scratch that - it's the best, period) - and this was a real treat to hear it "live" in parallel with the film. Now, I just wish they would do "The Twin Towers" and "Return of the King" as well!

I love the Lord of the Rings so when I saw that this performance was coming to Dallas I bought tickets without hesitation. Little did I know that this would be one of the most unforgettable performances I have ever seen! I have seen the movie more times than I can count but I felt more emotion than I have ever felt before. You could feel the music and the intense scenes were even more intense than if you were just watching it at home. I expected it to be good but it definitely exceeded my expectations and I would go again in a heartbeat. tl;dr: GO! It is amazing.

I was not able to appreciate fully the orchestra performance because I was paying attention/distracted by/ to the screen/movie during the whole time.

What a GREAT performance. I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought the tickets, as I'm not a big Lord of The Rings fan. I must say how impressed I was with the Choir and the Orchestra. I brought my wife and 2 teenage daughters and they loved it as well! I would highly recommend this event! I hope they do it next year with the next movie in the series.

I absolutely loved this performance, as a big fan of film scores. PLEASE do more shows like this, apparently Gladiator in Concert and Pirates of the Caribbean in Concert have already be done elsewhere, bring them to Dallas!

The concert was as amazing as I had dreamt. Just what an enthusiast of LOTR would expect. Looking forward to the presentation of The Two Towers and The Return of The King.

The music was phenomenal. So cool to watch the movie and hear the music live. The choir singing with the full orchestra really added to it. The movie had subtitles, which we actually loved. It's a long show, but totally worth it! The venue was run-down and the seats weren't great, but the performance was top notch!

This was an amazing way to experience a movie that has meant so much to me over the years. My husband and I noticed so much about the music that we had missed. It was a unique and altogether wonderful experience.

It was a fantastic experience to watch the movie “Fellowship of the ring” and listen to the LIVE background score. Now that’s what I call entertainment. You need to be there and experience it firsthand cause it's simply worth it.

My family and I absolutely loved the performance of the Fellowship of the Ring. We went on Saturday Night and it was amazing. We truly enjoyed the music, choir, and having the movie on the big screen. We will definitely attend future performances like this one! Great job!

Absolutely glorious. I admit, I'm slightly biased, as I'm a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan, but the setup and music was fantastic. The live orchestra elevated all parts of the movies, down to to quieter and slower-paced scenes. LOVED EVERYTHING.

I thought it was just going to be live music! I didn't realize you would be able to view the movie on a large screen as they performed the music! It was BEAUTIFUL!!
