BRANDI CARLILE IN CONCERT:

Alt-country sweetheart Brandi Carlile has crowned Billboard's Top Folk Albums chart twice since her 2005 debut, and it's easy to see why as she performs her heart-rending tunes in concert. Carlile is a world-class belter, and the perfect way her voice cracks when she goes big makes visceral tunes like "The Story" and "The Eye" all the more powerful. Country and folk are squarely in her wheelhouse, but she also dabbles in styles as diverse as rock, R&B, and blues, making for a dynamic concert experience anchored by her elegant songwriting and emotive voice. Whether she's performing songs from 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter or making jaws drop with her soaring cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", Carlile never fails to impress ticket buyers with her poise, gorgeous voice, and good-natured stage presence.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Brandi Carlile was born and raised in rural Washington state, where she began performing with her mother and brother at age eight. She taught herself to play guitar, and by her teens she was penning her own songs and singing backup for an Elvis impersonator. By her twenties she was performing in Seattle's music scene with her twin brothers, and in 2004 she signed with Columbia Records. Her self-titled 2005 debut topped Billboard's Folk Albums chart, introducing fans to her powerful voice and heart-on-sleeve songwriting. She teamed up with legendary producer T Bone Burnett for her 2007 sophomore album The Story, with stellar results -- the album peaked at No. 10 on the rock charts and scored a breakthrough hit with its title track. Since then Carlile has toured extensively and released four more acclaimed albums including 2011's Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony and 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter.

Brandi, The Twins and the band put on one hell of a fantastic show Saturday night. Great crowd, high energy, amazing storytelling and even better musicians. One of my favorite performances of theirs and really of all time. She has a heart of gold and loves what she’s doing. And that voice, oh man, that voice.

I’ve always admired Brandi Carlisle and her music. Her live show way exceeded my expectations. Great performers sound equal or better live than recorded and she was excellent live in person. What a wonderful voice and was very impressed with her band as well.

  • Great show, obnoxious patrons

by Rowdy on 9/19/23Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga FallsRating: 4 out of 5

Brandi Carlisle is phenomenally talented. Her show was great. I wish there were ushers who could shut up obnoxious patrons talking thru the whole concert. I finally had to handle it myself and ask the people behind us to keep it down so we could hear Brandi.

  • One of the best live performances I’ve attended

by CL on 9/19/23Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga FallsRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was my first full BCB shows and will not be my last. Quite easily the best concert I’ve attended. It’s so much fun to watch artists who emit joy and love being musicians together. And the BCB fans are unlike anything I’ve seen or experienced. The whole evening was so much fun and full of positive energy.

Absolutely brilliant performance. Adored the cover songs. There is an energy at her shows that match no other. A beautiful soul with a beautiful voice and beautiful writing/lyrics - and the Twins, and everyone else on stage give their all, and you can see, they’re all having an absolute blast!

  • Words don't do Brandi Carlile justice

by bcburnt on 8/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Brandi Carlile blew our minds. It was our first time seeing her in concert and my wife and I were blown away completely. Her voice is maybe better live which is rare, her band was phenomenal, and we had an experience that words truly cannot do justice. She is a class act.

  • Awesome concert & great venue

by Serious Fan on 8/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Brandi was great! She sang beautifully, was full of energy and engaged, despite being sick. She played several of her old favorites, new ones, covers and a duo with her leading act artist as well. The sound was great and the night magical.

  • Must see show!

by Forever Brandi Fan on 8/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

If you’ve never seen Brandi Carlile, you MUST go! It doesn’t matter what you know or think, she is simply one of the best performing artists you’ll see! I’ve been to Brandi’s shows for the past 13 years and it just keeps getting better. This isn’t typical of me but I’ve bought tix for 3 shows in 2 weeks because I cannot get enough of the music, the stage storytelling, and overall crowd karma.

  • Always an excellent show!!

    by Brit P. on 8/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Brandi Carlile perform 3 times now and it only gets better each concert! Truly one of my favorite performers 💕

  • Why We Love Brandi

by WI Loves Brandi on 8/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

As you may have heard, Wisconsin likes brandy liqueur more all the other states combined, and though I have only empirical evidence, this may be true with Brandi Carlile as well. Something about her rock and roll roots, and her connection with the audience and her band and guests, just seems to resonate with the Wisconsin crowd. The show was a mix of her original work and creative integrations of other classic rock and pop music, but again it is her sweet connection with everyone at her shows that makes us all feel special, and happy with decided to attend.
