BRANDI CARLILE IN CONCERT:
Alt-country sweetheart Brandi Carlile has crowned Billboard's Top Folk Albums chart twice since her 2005 debut, and it's easy to see why as she performs her heart-rending tunes in concert. Carlile is a world-class belter, and the perfect way her voice cracks when she goes big makes visceral tunes like "The Story" and "The Eye" all the more powerful. Country and folk are squarely in her wheelhouse, but she also dabbles in styles as diverse as rock, R&B, and blues, making for a dynamic concert experience anchored by her elegant songwriting and emotive voice. Whether she's performing songs from 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter or making jaws drop with her soaring cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", Carlile never fails to impress ticket buyers with her poise, gorgeous voice, and good-natured stage presence.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Brandi Carlile was born and raised in rural Washington state, where she began performing with her mother and brother at age eight. She taught herself to play guitar, and by her teens she was penning her own songs and singing backup for an Elvis impersonator. By her twenties she was performing in Seattle's music scene with her twin brothers, and in 2004 she signed with Columbia Records. Her self-titled 2005 debut topped Billboard's Folk Albums chart, introducing fans to her powerful voice and heart-on-sleeve songwriting. She teamed up with legendary producer T Bone Burnett for her 2007 sophomore album The Story, with stellar results -- the album peaked at No. 10 on the rock charts and scored a breakthrough hit with its title track. Since then Carlile has toured extensively and released four more acclaimed albums including 2011's Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony and 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter.

I'm not sure Brandi, Tim, and Phil could give a bad show but if they can, it wasn't at The Anthem. This venue was perfect. Tim and Phil debuting new music was a treat and Brandi, the twins, and SistaStrings kicked some ass.
This was my wife’s and son’s first time seeing Brandi live. Watching them enjoy the experience was almost as good as watching Brandi! We were also able to attend with my good friend who I actually met because she was wearing a Brandi tshirt at an HOA meeting! The night was just fabulous from opening with the Twins, Sista Strings, and Brandi in the balcony! It was everything. Brandi never disappoints, is always so full of energy, and so appreciative of her fans. Forever Bramliy.
Brandi never disappoints; between the incredible range, the absolute mastery of guitar and piano, and effusive charm, every show leaves you longing for more. One show is not enough, once you know, you are hooked!

This was one of the best concerts I've ever been to with special guests like Annie Lennox and Joni Mitchell! Phenomenal.
I had never been to Hollywood Bowl and it is a fantastic venue. Surprisingly easy to access, tons of food and beverage options and an intimate outdoor concert experience. Brandi did NOT disappoint as usual. I saw Joni and Annie Lennox and the rest of the friends at the Gorge this year but the surprise factor of Joni after two great hours of music was really special. Brandi was her usual personable self and Annie was ON!
One of the most meaningful shows I’ve ever been to.
I have seen Brandi many times, but a beautiful night in California, at the Hollywood Bowl, with several friends of Brandi’s and icons Annie Lennox and Joni Mitchell and I felt like the stars were aligned. It was a great night and it could have only been better if it had been a few hours longer.
I’ve been a fan and following Brandi for 15+ years. I’ve seen her at some amazing small venues and the last couple years on much bigger stages. It’s been exciting to watch her and the Twins build in popularity. They have never waive red on who they are and are grateful, thankful and humble for everything they have achieved, everyone they have met and worked with and the notary they have. Saw Brandi in San Diego with P!nk the week before the Hollywood Bowl show both shows were so different but so damn good!! The Hollywood Bowl show with Annie Lennox, Allison Russell and of course the queen Joni Mitchell was absolutely mind blowing. A night of music with friends with Brandi and friends….therapy for the soul!! Love that Brandi, Josh and the Twins are receiving the attention and accolades they so deserve yet haven’t changed one bit of who they are!! LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️
Brandy Carlile was brilliant as always. The entire night was magical with performances by Lucius, Catherine Carlile, Annie Lennox and an encore with Joni Mitchell. It truly was an iconic experience.
The show was so special that words are hard to come by. Brandi Carlile and the band were awesome as always but with all her special guests the night was totally unbearable. I loved all her friends that joined but Annie Lennox and Joni Mitchell were definitely the highlights. The sound and lighting was perfect and the crowd was very respectful.
This was my first Brandi Carlisle concert, it was also my first Hollywood Bowl experience, and it was the best night of my life. Brandi is charming, talented and gracious. She lights up at the success of her friends, and the sight of her wife. She's a beautiful human, and I'm so happy that I got to see everything she is in person. Thanks for a beautiful night.
This was a dream come true! Brandi and all her guest musicians gave it their all, while setting the intention of raising peaceful energy for the world! Tears were flowing with the phenomenal guest appearances by Annie Lenox and Joni Mitchell. Absolutely historic night at the Bowl.
Perhaps the best show I have seen at the bowl. Brandi invited so many talented friends, and Annie Lennox and Joni Mitchell just left me awestruck! Magically they made us forget the worlds’ tragedies and we sang for peace and pure joy!
There is no finer entertainer than Brandi Carlile. She is the real deal. Generous, humble, conscious of the feelings of others and a good heart. A night of magic when Joni Mitchell appeared on stage - likely one of her last. So appreciative of Brandi for making this happen I will always treasure this night.

Nights at the Hollywood Bowl almost always feel special and attending shows at this iconic venue in the wonderful climate of SoCal for an outdoor show - almost any show is typically a joyful evening and I'm fortunate to have seen a good number of truly great shows here. Brandi Carlile and Friends on October 14 was an incredible high from start to finish. Acknowledging the pain and suffering members of the audience and those around the world face with the recent terrors of war in the Mideast - and other atrocities elsewhere with an intention at the start of the evening was wise and beautiful and something I wish I had recorded. The entire evening of music was infused with love and joy from a solo song with Brandi on acoustic guitar to the assembly of all the friends in attendance surrounding Joni Mitchell and everything in between. It was a blessing to be present on this luminous evening. The world needs more of the positive joyful energy expressed on this evening and the true love light that radiated from Brandi to the rest of the performers and out to everyone in the audience. Tickets were at a premium price and last minute availability offered better seats at less expensive pricing but I don't regret grabbing seats for this show when they were released as being present for this celebration is something I'll carry with me always. My hope is that the love and joy from this evening radiates from the Bowl around the world. Every song was not to be missed but Brandi's covers of "Madman Across the Water"and "Woodstock"to close out the set both felt like they couldn't be topped. Yet Brandi did have more treats up her sleeve. By literally resetting the stage with a duet by Sister Strings followed by a turn of the stage to reveal a set similar to the "Joni Jams"with all the evening performers fanning out from Ms. Mitchell on her throne with key collaborators Brandi Carlisle and Annie Lennox to her right and left even more joy flowed over the audience and though the surrounding hills. Please find someway to mirror the good energy that Brandi Carlisle puts into the world and radiate it out to those you love. The world is better for this night and will be better if we all can find 5% of this joy within our lives.
The show that Brandi put on at the Hollywood Bowl in October was just amazing! Just to see her is a treat, but the fact that she brought friends like Annie Lennox and Joni Mitchell with her made it one of the best concerts ever.
This was an evening filled with joy and healing energy. Brandi Carlisle is a humble, caring human, who showcased her friends and gave us all a memorable evening. Annie Lennox and Joanie Mitchell were the icing on the cake. I went home with gratitude for a wonderful evening.
