BRANDI CARLILE IN CONCERT:

Alt-country sweetheart Brandi Carlile has crowned Billboard's Top Folk Albums chart twice since her 2005 debut, and it's easy to see why as she performs her heart-rending tunes in concert. Carlile is a world-class belter, and the perfect way her voice cracks when she goes big makes visceral tunes like "The Story" and "The Eye" all the more powerful. Country and folk are squarely in her wheelhouse, but she also dabbles in styles as diverse as rock, R&B, and blues, making for a dynamic concert experience anchored by her elegant songwriting and emotive voice. Whether she's performing songs from 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter or making jaws drop with her soaring cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", Carlile never fails to impress ticket buyers with her poise, gorgeous voice, and good-natured stage presence.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Brandi Carlile was born and raised in rural Washington state, where she began performing with her mother and brother at age eight. She taught herself to play guitar, and by her teens she was penning her own songs and singing backup for an Elvis impersonator. By her twenties she was performing in Seattle's music scene with her twin brothers, and in 2004 she signed with Columbia Records. Her self-titled 2005 debut topped Billboard's Folk Albums chart, introducing fans to her powerful voice and heart-on-sleeve songwriting. She teamed up with legendary producer T Bone Burnett for her 2007 sophomore album The Story, with stellar results -- the album peaked at No. 10 on the rock charts and scored a breakthrough hit with its title track. Since then Carlile has toured extensively and released four more acclaimed albums including 2011's Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony and 2015's The Firewatcher's Daughter.

  • Brandi and her band FANTASTIC. warm up band PAINFUL

by Dani on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

Brandi was fantastic. Worth the long wait. If I had known the schedule, I could have had a much longer dinner with my son. The warm up band was painful and too long. I thought about leaving 15 minutes in. But very glad I stayed.

  • Brandi was so entertaining and involving the audience with h

by Sky on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 1st time seeing her. It was the best concert I have been to. She was all over the stage. Talking to the audience. I would definitely go back to her concert.

  • One of the best shows I've ever seent

by Erin on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Brandi was on fire and the crowd was totally with her. It didn't matter that it's a huge venue. Do not miss this tour! Brittany Howard was an amazing opening act.

  • She was amazing- I love her voice, heart and soul

The venue was easy, check in smooth.. I can't believe 20K people were there!!! I really enjoy shows at TD Garden

  • Most amazing concert experience!

by JC on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Brandi is not just an amazing artist, she is also Badass, Warm, Appreciative, and Humble!!! We were blown away by her performance; but even more so because of her appreciation and humbleness. That is the only concert I have ever left in tears, as she truly showed her appreciation to the crowd and appeared emotional herself!!! I will forever attend any show of hers in our area!!

  • Is she even real?! Unbelieveable show!

by Alyssa on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to approximately 1 million concerts, and she is a true entertainer and performer through and through. She wears her heart on her sleeve and gives 1,000% to every song. She played for two hours and it was the absolute best. If you ever have the opportunity, go see her!

  • I think this was an excellent show!

by Stacey on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the headliner, Brittany Howard! She was dynamo! And Brandi's concert was out of this world. I had decent seats, people were helpful getting us to our seats and signing us in. I have no negative comments to make at all.

  • Brandi Carlile is phenomental...TD Garden as a venue is eh

by LB on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I gave this 5 stars, because Brandi 100% deserves it. She is an artist that sounds better than her album and you'll almost be disappointed to go back to your Spotify listening. While she slayed at the TD Garden, the Garden itself leaves much to be desired as a venue - namely the acoustics are awful (but you can't really hold that against the venue since it wasn't built to be a concert venue!). If you have an opportunity to see Brandi, do it...if you have an opportunity to see her at a smaller venue - don't even hesitate...

by Grace on 10/24/22TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Brandi Carlile is a force of nature on stage. Her humble yet commanding demeanor captures your attention and she doesn't let you look away for hours. Nor do you want to. She and her band took up the full stage, rocking music all the way to the rafters and into your soul.

  • Amazing, Amazing concert

From the song list, to the crazy good string quartet, the duos. Absolutely fantastic concert.

  • Beautifully perfect

    by Conrad1701 on 10/14/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We were all the way back on the grass so we were pretty much across from her! The fact that her wife came out and sang with her was so nice! Katy Pruitt and Brandi Carlile’s voices merged so beautifully! I was very happy to see Brandi smiling and having fun! We were all laughing and having fun when she talked to the crowd about the stories behind the songs! The stories behind them gave her a chance to speak up about her backstory before she became big! When she talked about her life, it made us feel like we were there! It made us so happy to realize that she had such a strong connection to past fans and wanted to make a stronger connection with her new ones!

  • Wonderful!

by Nws on 10/14/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It was cold. Tigg Pavillion is an outdoor arena, and I didn't realize that when I booked the tickets. Otherwise, I might have missed a marvelous performance. I already knew I love her voice. But I didn't realize what an incredible instrumentalist she is as well. Definitely someone I want to see again only next time I want to be close enough to see her as well as hear her. The fact that she is such a supporter of other female artists just makes her all the more wonderful.

  • Relaxing

  • So good

    by E. M. on 10/12/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

She was amazing live. Her voice is even better in person

  • Wonderful Brandi Alone

by Rick on 10/12/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It was just Brandi... and Brandi. I missed the twins, but absolutely loved hearing Brandi sing her songs without all the background noise. She was accompanied by the opening act and by her wife on a few songs - and that only served to enhance the performance. Best Brandi concert since her early days when she performed with just "the twins".

  • Fabulous as always
