ADAM SAVAGE & MICHAEL STEVENS BRING YOU

BRAIN CANDY LIVE

It’s what your mind is hungry for…

Adam Savage, one of television's most loved personalities, has joined forces with Michael Stevens, one of YouTube's biggest stars and they're coming to a theater near you. They’re bringing along more than three tons of their crazy toys, incredible tools and mind-blowing demonstrations for a celebration of curiosity that’s an interactive, hands-on, minds-on theatrical experience like no other.

Brain Candy Live has been described as "A cross between TED Talks and the Blue Man Group."  Savage and Stevens can’t wait to unleash their collective sense of wonder, curiosity and fun and they’re inviting you and your friends and family to join-in and get your minds messy. Adam and Michael’s Brain Candy Live experience is like a two-hour play date with Walt Disney, Willy Wonka and Albert Einstein.

Ask yourself, "Is it possible to 3D print a human - live onstage? Can you slow down the effects of gravity with something we throw away every day? What happens if everyone on earth jumps in the air at exactly the same time? Can anyone bottle-up a magical invisible substance and use it to power a rocket?" Discover all this and more as Adam and Michael entertainingly answer questions, question answers and talk Mother Nature into doing some things she’s never done before!

Smart is the new superpower and two of this planet's most entertaining everyday heroes are coming to your town to rescue you and your family from boredom. Join them as they use their secret recipe of fun, surprise, excitement (and just a pinch of danger) to cook-up and deliver a giant batch of magical Brain Candy to every mind in the audience.

Brain Candy is more for high schoolers

by Yankeefrank on 11/24/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

Although it is presented with high energy, it is low level science, more appropriate for a high school level audience.

    What a hoot!

by Pixelman on 11/24/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

My wife and I had a great time at Adam and Michael's show. She is a bit "physics-challenged" but enjoyed the demos, the jokes, the audience participation and just may have learned a thing or two. The unexpected bonus was a little sample of what happens when nerds lose their inhibitions. I have never before seen such dance moves. Bring the kids! Come prepared with a question for Adam or Michael.

    Outstanding and Hilarious!!!

by khyland99 on 11/24/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

Amazing show! Took my 12 year old, and he was blown away by the science and comedy. They put together the perfect show to teach science. The "WOW" factor is there. I recommend this show for a fun and educational family night out. AMAZING!

    Brain Candy family show

by Bakes4 on 11/24/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

The experiments were fantastic!! The level of energy displayed by Adam and Michael and knowledge was astounding!! Having small kids there, the break in between was much longer than they said it would be, and the second half where they started with about 20-30 mins of answering tweets was not necessary and not what I paid for. That was a very disappointing part of the show. Would have loved more experiments that kept the kids interested the entire time!

    Great fun

    Underwhelming

by BCap99 on 11/21/17Boch Center Wang Theatre (formerly Citi Performing Arts Center) - Boston

Very disappointing - - perhaps kids enjoyed but we were 2 adults that left at intermission. The only real highlight was them sending out a big smoke ring. There was nothing remotely mind blowing, as we had hoped. Should note overhead a guy at the concessions saying the same thing (and he had a teenage son).

    Underwhelmed; more like school science

by Kaydub1 on 11/21/17Boch Center Wang Theatre (formerly Citi Performing Arts Center) - Boston

I guess this is best for children though the two girls that came with us were bored. They need to implement more subjects other than air into the entire show.

    Got on stage!

by Airboston on 11/21/17Boch Center Wang Theatre (formerly Citi Performing Arts Center) - Boston

Brain candy live was an awesome experience. I’ve been a Vsauce fan pretty much since it started and also have enjoyed watching Mythbusters. It was a whole lotta fun seeing Adam and Michael in person and meeting them, as I was chosen to go on stage! Highly recommend, they do some really cool stuff, will always remember this night!

    Awesome!

by Susandink on 11/18/17State Theatre - New Brunswick

Brain Candy Live is simply the best. Adam and Michael are truly warm, caring people. They interact with the audience and are genuinely into everything they are demonstrating. There was a couple epic fails during the show but that just proved they are constantly coming up with new ideas...some work some don't. We did the meet and greet and they were down to earth and took time with each guest during the photo ops. My son who has ADD was all up in Adam's face and th man laughed and talked with him. Not one pretense of celebrity. In a world of Spaceys and Weinsteins, Adam and Michael are great male role models in the public eye.

    Love Adam, Show didn't work

by Myriad1335 on 4/28/17Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

I've been a fan of Adam's for years....since the beginning of Mythbusters. However, the road show didn't work for me. It was about very basic physics and really didn't hit the "mythbusters" level that I had come to expect. The failure of the leaf blowers sort of did me in. Again, very disappointed....really liked him a lot.

I expected more from these two

by Babylonians on 4/25/17City National Civic - San Jose

Considering the quality of videos that Michael Stevens produces, and Adam Savage's incredible work on mythbusters, I would have expected a more interesting show. It seemed like it was targeted at middle schoolers, and I wish they'd advertised it as such.

    Great fun for all!

by GeekFan on 4/21/17City National Civic - San Jose

Brain Candy was so much fun, and so informative in a great way! The production was entertaining for all - there was an eclectic and diverse audience and everyone seem to have a good time. Both Adam and Michael made it feel interactive. Would definitely go again!

    Great for children

by Mike14424 on 4/13/17Balboa Theatre - San Diego

I should have known based on the name "brain candy" that this is a science show aimed at children. I'm a huge fan of Michael Stevens and Michael Savage, but this event seems to be mostly a Michael Savage creation. The "science" component consisted of a few insubstantial tricks that lacked the sophistication I had expected of a Michael Stevens production. Kids will be amazed and certainly enjoy the cheezy antics and punny jokes far more than I did.

Fun Event with Some Great Science Demos

by Primus202 on 4/11/17City National Civic - San Jose

I love these two personalities so it was an instant buy to see both live together. I loved the show and it was lots of fun. There were some really neat experiments and the chemistry on stage, as well as the production and dialogue, was great. However my only complaints would be that the science they covered was pretty simple, a decently large portion of the show was dedicated to a live Twitter Q&A which was interesting but unexpected, and few of the set pieces were truly as jaw dropping as I hoped.

    Fun with Dead Spots

by OGGunner on 4/11/17City National Civic - San Jose

My son and I went to the show. I flew in to take him. The show was interesting and funny and informative but there were "dead spots" where it seemed like they were just trying to lengthen the show.

    Simply phenominal.

by Technicality on 4/11/17City National Civic - San Jose

The science was amazing, Michael and Adam are entertaining and fun, and the dancing is just spot on (you'll know what I mean when you go).

    Adam Savage and friend

by Bluetriumph on 4/11/17City National Civic - San Jose

The show was fairly entertaining and Adam is so real and likable. I'm not familiar with his new partner who was a little long winded on the scientific explanations. There were some definite lulls between bits where the 2 danced around the stage in the dark - that could be improved. We did really like the small, medium and extra large air cannons as well as the ping pong ball shooters. Even though I'm not on Twitter, I liked the use of it for audience questions. It was much more efficient that someone running around the audience with a microphone. Overall the show was less polished that Adam's Mythbuster's show but we liked it.
