About

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

  • Truly an AMAZING show!!

by Nikster on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

This was an absolutely AMAZING Show!! Jimmie Vaughan was great!! His guitar playing is still top notch!! Then, when Bonnie came out…JUST EFFIN’ AWESOME!! She is a true beauty to see & hear and her slide guitar is the chef’s kiss!!💋 I went with my young adult son & his girlfriend…we loved the show!! (Even if they didn’t know her music as well as me, lol.) She began playing the year I was born, so it was impressive to say the least!! (The venue is a bit hilly for some of the older patrons, but it was beautiful there.) AMAZING SHOW!!

  • Great experience

We arrived very early to snag a parking spot. I saw lots of people who did the same thing but had the forethought to tailgate before the concert. We will do that next time. It was a long line when the gates opened, yet it was very organized and moved swiftly. My only negative is the cost for food and drinks. A regular bottle of water @ $5.00. A small container of wine @ $22.00. One slice of thin pizza @ $9. One beer @ $9.00. These prices seem excessive to me. We were happy with getting to our seats and the performances were outstanding.

  • Still Lovely After All These Years!

I saw Bonnie at the New Orleans Jazz Fest 22 years ago and she hasn’t lost anything. She is a consummate professional and has an endearing stage presence. Do yourself a favor and take in one of her concerts!

Bonnie was FANTASTIC!! Still looks terrific and sounded even better. The opening act was a little weak but I think it made her shine.

  • Great Music

by VO on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt and her music never change. Always great. She plays the guitar better all the time and her voice is awesome. A great musician. And Jimmie Vaughan and his band were great also. I would love to see Bonnie Raitt again!! Definitely someone I would recommend!!

We attended many concerts at CMAC. The Who, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood to name a few. Good time and great sound. Very disappointed at this event. Both bands playing were poor in audio. Maybe a sound check wasn’t done. We left during the encore. So I can’t honestly say it was good.

  • Nice night!

by PKA on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie was chipper and seemed eager to play and have fun. Sound was good and... Jimmy Vaughn and the band were a great compliment who could have easily stood on their own!

  • Another nice event

by Jimbo on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 4 out of 5

Jimmie Vaughan sounds great especially with the horns and upright bass. Bonnie Raitt covered more material than I expected but sounds great as well performing her standards.

  • Bonnie still gots it!

by FretFool on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Vaughn played great shows! Jimmy brought the Tilt-A-Whirl band. The horn section was fabulous and the rhythm section was top notch. Jimmy played his brand of blues with a tip of the hat to his brother and still can play the guitar. Even played behind his head for a minute which brought the house to a deafening roar! Bonnie was flawless! She was candid and warm, occasionally ribald; always thankful and welcoming. Bonnie's band was filled with consummate professionals and they held up their end of the bargain. Bonnie's voice was incredible! She was strong and clear and sounded like she was 30 years younger! But, for me, I loved her guitar work! She still speaks beautifully with her slide and I would have listened to her play four more hours. Absolutely wonderful! She performed "I Can't Make You Love Me"as an encore by herself then brought out Jimmy to play two more songs with her. The night was magical!

  • Crueling

by Elheffie on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 1 out of 5

Had to walk to far with chairs, the venues food and beverages were vastly over priced, could not see the stage, they looked like ants thankfully they had screens to show the artists. Bonnie and Jimmy were awesome so it eased the aggravation a little, never going back to CMAC

Excellent concert great songs and guitar riffs. What a show !!

  • Listened to her for 35 years

by Sully on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 3 out of 5

Stupid "no photo policy"Pretty good performance, but her goon squad harassing people anytime they looked at a phone was a distraction and annoying. Also for 35 years I purchased your record albums, cd's, digital content and concert tickets and you never once asked me about my politics and I never asked you about yours. Let's keep it that way. I came to the show for your great music and 35 years of memories not to hear you ramble on about politics. Thanks.

  • Fab…stunning performance

Bonnie Raitt has a voice that will take you places….definitely “something to talk about”…love you, Bonnie!

Bonnie can completely mesmerize an audience with her guitar, voice, and lyrics. It was a beautiful night at a wonderful venue! I especially liked the No videos/pictures policy.

  • Whose rights are they??

by Codydog on 8/26/25Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 1 out of 5

Ok. Love Bonnie. Did not enjoy the militant camera Nazis that rudely and unconstitutionally grabbed people’s phones without consent .. Not to mention that other people nearby were treated to aggresive behavior by security and therefore unable to enjoy the show.I have thought about this and if it came down from the artist, I will no longer support same Enjoy the day

  • Best concert ever

by Maura on 8/26/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

It was beautiful venue, great check in system and concert was truly amazing! I don't know what was up with security and people on their cell phones. You really should do better education to crowd to know there is no texting or videotaping at the show, security will be coming around and ensuring that is not occurring. It was very distracting. The seats fantastic, music fantastic and got in and out. Jimmy and bonnie rocked it

  • wow

by toni on 8/26/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie was amazing as we had expected. Jimmy Vaugh and his Tilt-a-Whirl Band were an unexpected surprise. We absolutely loved the show. The finally with both Bonnie and Jimmy was over the top!!
