Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.
Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

Bonnie never disappoints! Great music, great show! Hard to believe we've going to her shows for 50+ years.
Bonnie, her band, plus Jimmy Vaughn and the Tilt-A-Whirl band made for an awesome, toe-tapping evening. Both groups gave it their all. It was worth the ticket price. If you get the chance, get tickets. You will only be disappointed if you don't go!
Bonnie was amazing. Her voice is still great, as well as her legendary guitar skills. She chose a great selection of songs and her heart is still in her music. This was my fifth concert since 1990 and it was excellent as ever. She might as well be 40 again. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Bonnie and Jimmy did great together! Sounded like 1985 all over again. It’s a don’t miss show. The fountain of youth tour.
We sat in only the 3rd row up behind the floor and we were told we had to climb all the back up almost 15 rows to get to the concession and restrooms rather than down 2 rows to the floor. "its just the rules'? we were told. crazy reason. The sound was way off to the point that the band took over Bonnie Raitt's voice and all we could hear was them. Her older signature songs were pretty predictable but she cut them really short rather than embellish or extend for a better concert experience. The "older"audience was pretty much there to listen as if at a recital- very low energy. The streaming of her concert on line at home on my Apple TV was more enjoyable. We left 45 minutes into her set. It was a big disappointment.
Bonnie Raitt sounded fabulous as did Jimmy Vaughan. Accustics were great at Mohegan Sun Arena. Top shelf staff also. I was met with smiles and solutions to my qiestions.
Bonnie Raitt put on an incredible show along with her special guest, Jimmy Vaughan. She immediately engaged the audience when she came on stage and kept the vibe going for the entire performance.
Bonnie Rait is still on her game...outstanding performance & mixture of new/ tried & true. truly a memorable performance
Wonderful show! Bonnie was amazing as always. A tonic for our times.
Jimmie Vaughn as opening act for Bonnie Raitt was such an amazing experience. Mohegan Sun event center is a perfect venue.
Have seen her many times—same amazing performance, voice and guitar playing!
The show was awesome ! Bonnie sounds and plays great!!!
Bonnie Raitt and John Vaugh were fantastic...almost three hour show!
We recently saw Bonnie Raitt at CMAC in Canandaigua NY. Jimmy Vaughn opened. Great concert in a very big venue. We were inside but in "Rear FFF"seats. The sound back there was a bit muddled, but not terrible. CMAC needs to up its game on the video screens flanking the stage. Based on the large size of the venue, those video screens need to be MUCH larger so that the folks in "Rear FFF"and beyond can see the show better. It sure looks like there's room, just need bigger screens. Parking was very easy. The seats were hard, but roomy - bring a cushion. The bathrooms were functional and designed for quick in and out. The only issue with the bathrooms relates to the venue's overall topography. It's built into a hillside, and is beautiful. But from the theater down to the bathrooms is a precarious trek down some very steep black top, or the long way around via the stairs. Be careful and you'll be OK. Great pre-concert dining in the City of Canandaigua. We'll be back.
My wife & I recently attended the Jimmy Vaughn & Bonnie Raitt concert at the Canandaugia Performing Arts Center. It's a beautiful outside facility, clean & is well run by all staff. We feel it is by far the best venue around. Jimmy Vaughn proved himself to be an exceptional guitarist & his band members were extremely talented as well. Bonnie Raitt's voice sounded better than ever & she also showed her incredible skills on the guitar & keyboard. My wife & I felt it was perfect summer night !
Beautiful- so moving! I loved it! Sh is such a talent and a national treasure!
Jimmie and Bonnie put on an incredible, soulful show and the no photography policy kept the crowd in the moment.
Listening to the awesome Bonnie Raitt at Bethel Woods on a perfect August evening was a highlight of the summer! Fabulous artist, great venue. Bethel Woods embraces its chill music history with relaxed lawn & open air pavilion seating, while also offering state of the art sound quality, great food & other vendors. Highly recommend!
Bonnie sounded great! her playing was on point, great band behind her. awesome time at a great venue!
The venue and the show were both good. I was just a little disappointed that they were so insistent on no photos or videos. I think that's the first time I've ever actually been scolded for taking a photo.
