Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.
Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

No energy or enthusiasm. Too many references to deceased performers and current collaborators. Should have stayed home and listened to some old recordings.
Excellent concert from Bonnie Raitt's first note! I think she was throwing a bone to Jimmie Vaughn, her opening act, but it makes me love her all the more!
This concert is one of the best I’ve attended. Jimmie played and sang with his whole heart, and The Tilt-a-Whirl band had everyone moving with their beat (and that brass!). Bonnie spoke soulfully about the musicians who have passed away, and sang their songs with sweet emotion. She still has that great voice, and the encore brought me to tears
Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Vaughn put on a wonderful show and the venue was wonderful also
Bonnie Raitt was great, but the experience overall was very poor because the folks at Bethel Woods are ridiculous about cell phones. They policed everyone at the concert to the extent that you couldn't even look at your phone to check texts. This made the entire experience very stressful and disruptive to the concert. I will never return there again.
Bonnie is a legend in her field and her concert was amazing ! Her performance showed she has not slowed down a beat!
What a great idea to ask everyone to enjoy the show without cell phones! Bonnie Raiitt is an amazing artist!!!!
The opening act was a bit too loud, but Bonnie Raitt and her band were phenomenal. They sounded so tight and her vocals were amazing! She is one of my all time favorite artists and she delivered one of the best performances I have seen at Bethel Woods. I bought a seat and it was definitely worth every penny! I loved it!
Saw Bonnie at the Schaffer Summer Concerts in Central Park 50 years ago. She is better than ever. Best slide guitarist I have ever heard. Love her. Fan forever!
Bonnie Raitt her band and the opening act were all stupendous. I would see her again in a heartbeat. Venue is fabulous too.
Bethel Woods is a great facility for a concert and Bonnie Raitt and Jimmy Vaughn really delivered. Especially when they ended the show with a combined effort. Still prefer paper tickets to phone tickets and prices are getting too steep to attend most shows.
She still has it. yeah. And everything else that. I will go see her anytime.
Bethel Performing Arts Center is the best venue I have ever been to! Great, beautiful place, friendly people and the concert was spectacular! Bonnie gave a great performance as usual.
We had a bit of difficulty with premium parking at first, we were misdirected. It worked out though. The venue was wonderful. Bonnie and her band sounded great. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.
I seen and heard Bonnie Raitt in Cali back in the day( I am 73 ). Her voice is still as powerful as it was then. She can really play her guitars ,as evident by her music, switching guitars depending on the song she played. Jimmy Vaughan was good, but nothing like his brother. Both bands had great back up musicians.
Bonnie's voice, guitar playing and backing band were superb. My first time witnessing Bonnie live and have enjoyed her recordings to this day. Bonnie's voice still holds a long note and does not crack. Fans will be happy to know that her voice is not drowned out by her backing bank. Her keyboardist is exceptional and the lead guitarist accompanies the music without overpowering the music. Know that Bonnie will sing her past hits and sprinkle in some reimagined lost R&B/gospel songs. Jimmy Vaughn opens the show with a magnificent backing band containing 3 person horn section. Vaughn is a clean, precise chord changing guitarist who is a pleasure to hear. His singing is a bit coarse and gravelly with age but its the band and its musicianship. Vaughn joined Bonnie for two songs to close out her encore. Fun to hear.
Both Bonnie and Jimmie Vaughn haven't lost their fastballs. They both have a lot left in the tank
I was very impressed with Bonnie. She, like so many of my favorite performers, is no youngster. Her voice and her guitar licks were still at the top of her game. Her band, especially her backup guitarist, were extremely talented. It was a beautiful summer night at Bethel Woods. If you get good weather, while you are there, it is such a beautiful venue for music.
Bonnie did not disappoint. She has a great stage presence, Interacted with the audience, a lot of energy, and great tunes. Her voice is beautiful, still powerful and strong. Awesome show.
