About

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

  • Great concert but disrespectful fans spoiled the experience.

by Floyd M on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

The music was great. I enjoyed Jimmie Vaughn's R&B and Bonnie Raitt's blues and rock. Bonnie's voice is still marvelous and her slide playing, still superb. Jimmie is a wonderful performer, entertainer and musician. Both of their bands were were tight. And it was wonderful when they joined forces at the end of an extended encore. However, this was the second concert I in a row I've attended at the Bangor Waterfront Amphitheater hen people in the seats in front of me stood, danced and blocked my view of the stage for almost the entire show. This behavior is rude, disrespectful, and spoiled the overall experience for people directly behind them. When I spoke to them at this show, politely asking them to use their seats, they said "we paid for these seats and we'll stand we they want to."I paid a lot for my tickets, too; to be close enough to see without having to watch people dance right in front of me and have use the jumbo screens to watch the concert - but that is what I had to do. Sure I could have stood but I preferred to sit and didn't want block even more people's view. As I mentioned, this is the second time this has happened to me at a concert in this venue. These experiences are likely to dissuade me from spending money for concerts there in the future. I know it's not possible to force people to behave and be considerate. And of course it is expected people will stand to applaud at times but to stand for long periods blocking other people's view is unconscionable and should not be tolerated. Something ought to be done to discourage that behavior. At least put up signs similar to the ones discouraging smoking and vaping. and mention it in the pre-show announcements along with requesting no photography. That might at least discourage the thoughtful and considerate people from blocking people's view. Perhaps there should be a standing & dancing section for people who want to enjoy concerts that way without disrupting to show for others.

  • Comfortable venue with outstanding performances

by Lgw on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

Easy parking, well staffed with security, no picture or video taking which was great! No one’s iPhone glaring rudely in other peoples faces. Bonnie was amazing and puts her all into the performance. Bonnie is gracious but outrageously talented. Her band was phenomenal and with diverse backgrounds.

  • Just Great

by StevefromAuburn on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt continues to amaze with her energy, her voice, her rapport with the audience and her choice of material. Simply put, we loved her performance. And let’s not forget to mention the energy and barroom rocking energy of Jimmy Vaughan and the Tilt-a-Whirl band. Audience up and dancing plenty. What a night!

  • Total package

by Bubba on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

The whole show was a complete package worth every penny. Bonnie was in complete control with lights, sound and execution. Bringing Jimmy Vaughn back with horn section was over the top. Waterfront Concerts went above and beyond with upgrades (thanks Mrs. Ford). Outstanding!!

  • Bonnie still rocks!

by Seedlady on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

At 75 Bonnie Raitt still has it! Great show and her voice is still amazing. We love Bonnie!!! Maine Savings Ampitheater is also a nice venue. Just wish the seats weren't so cramped together, and I'm not a big person.

  • GREAT!!!

  • Awesome show...

by Pondside on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

I saw her about 20 yrs ago & even though years have passed she hasn't missed a beat!!! Voice is strong & sounds like 20 yrs ago...The best part they asked for NO pictures / videos be taken so that the entire audience can be immersed in the concert. That made such a difference in the entire show !!! Thank you Bonnie...

  • Great show

  • Bonnie Raitt Concert Experience

by T Mack on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt put on a great show & still has a strong voice. I have always been a huge fan & would see her again. I've never been to a concert that no phones were strongly enforced. I put my phone away & enjoyed the show; but other people near us were escorted out. Maybe this policy should be stated at ticket sales so everyone is aware? Also at the gate? Security kept coming to our section monitoring phone use; which was disturbing. It made me not enjoy the show as much seeing people escorted out

  • Rude people killed the vibe

by Carrie on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt herself was incredible. 5 star performance! I would probably think long and hard about attending this venue again though. It is an outdoor venue with assigned seating. The ground level in front of the stage is folding chairs with numbers. My partner and I and a small number of other people stood for some songs and cheered and clapped. People seated around us were rude and aggressive, sometimes shoving the person in front of them if they were choosing to stay seated yelling profanities at the people standing. Just gonna say, unless the venue has a clear rule stating no standing, I’m gonna stand and groove at an outdoor concert. It really killed the vibe. If you don’t want people to stand in front of you, don’t buy ground level seats.

  • Blues with orchestral expertise

by Jo on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Such an enjoyable evening of musical genius. Talented musicians. What a treat when the encore included duets with Bonnie and Jimmy sharing their guitar skills. And no one compares with Bonnie’s voice. Acoustics perfect for such s huge venue. Comfortable seats, helpful staff. Due to potential river wind, bring a warm jacket for Bsngor

  • Sing her own songs

by Jody on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great concert but wish she song more of her own songs. Not being able to take video or photos sucked, enjoyed the concert.

  • So Good!

by TJ on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie was amazing, Jimmy Vaughn was awesome, so great!

  • Great performance.

by Hannah on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great...Bonnie was superb and so was Jimmie Vaughan. The audience was absorbed and responsive. My only criticism is that there were people in what appeared to be "box seat spaces"along the street side of the venue where people were more interested in socializing loudly than in the music and that was very distracting.

  • Always a great show

by -Martha Fox on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt has always put on the best performance, no matter who else in on the stage. Her open, honest candor makes it feel authentic. Her work is timeless. She is a legend of our time.

  • When will she return?

by Ware House on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal experience… more than just REALLY GREAT music. Great venue too. Bonnie was genuine and totally present (yes, it was a chilly evening). Already watching for her 2026 tour schedule!

  • Great sound and view

by Mainegram on 8/31/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt and Jimmie Vaughn were outstanding! Our seats had excellent view of the screens and stage. The sound was clear and not too loud. The bathrooms were clean.

  • Awesome Show Seeing two Legends!

by rickfic on 8/30/25Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The seats were too close together, but what a great show!!

  • Amazing voice and guitar work

by geobaum on 8/30/25Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Super experience. First time seeing Bonnie live. She is so welcoming. We were so impressed that her voice and energy level are as if she is a 25 year old. Loved her interspersing less known tracks with her greatest hits. Suggested improvement: that cameras were better positioned to do closeups of Bonnie’s excellent band of keyboards, drums and guitar so we could appreciate their virtuosity even more on the big screen. Keep on rockin!
