About

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

  • Amazing venue & great artist

    by Magumbo32 on 9/12/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Had never been to the Chicago Theater before or seen Bonnie Raitt in concert. Both blew me away. Bonnie's voice was strong, her guitar playing was on-point. Great show!

Bonnie looked really good. Loved the songs from Nick of Time. Jimmy Ray was very solid, horns were fabulous. Chicago Theatre was a lovely venue

  • A very solid and powerful performance by Bonnie and Jimmy

by Bip on 9/12/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I really loved this concert. Bonnie is very personable and folksy and does a great job of appearing genuine and authentic while connecting with the audience. I love the songs she selected to play, which combined newer ones with all the crowds favorites. Jimmy Vaughn was a wonderful surprise and I absolutely loved his band and performance also. All in all a great great concert in the best venue!

  • Bonnie Raitt still has it!

by CJW on 9/12/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Her singing voice is still great she relates wonderfully to with her audience.

  • This Lady does not disappoint!

by ivy on 9/12/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Ms Raitt came out; gave props to her opener, Jimmie Vaughan; and proceeded to blow him (and everyone else) entirely out of the water. She is a tiny dynamo who looks and sounds like a woman 20 years younger than 75. Her voice may have a few miles on it (which is a GOOD thing when you sing the blues) but has not diminished at all in power. What an inspiration!

  • Great show, horrible acoustics

by Ddoubting Thomas on 9/12/25The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Both Jimmie Vaughn and Bonnie Raitt put on great shows, and were engaged with the audience. We were sitting way off to the side, and the sound was HORRIBLE. Bass guitar and bass drum formed a constant overpowering drone that drowned out the vocals and lead guitar. Bonnie's slide guitar was barely audible. Even when the singer was talking unaccompanied, there was enough reverb to render speech difficult to understand. The Venue- Chicago Theatre- is gorgeous. One caveat- the carpeted walkways are uneven, including the stairs, making walking somewhat hazardous.

Genuine, very relaxed and unforced; she connected well with the audience. Very talented with an equally talented band. One of my top 5 concerts.

Jimmy Vaughn and Bonnie Raitt performed an awesome blues/rock show at The Rose. Neither one has lost their edge and both provided electrifying performances,

This woman can sing like no other! Her voice is incredible: rich, full, and enchanting! She mesmerizes on stage. Her guitar playing isn’t bad either … 😉😁 I have wanted to see Bonnie live in concert for years. She did not disappoint! She and her entire band were tight, strong, and had the audience in their complete control the entire show. Sing on, Bonnie! You are still rocking and sounding incredible!

  • Purchasing the tickets was really easy.

Have made ticket purchases before from ticket master. Love the convenience of it. The Rose Music Center is a wonderful venue. Clean. Every employee we had contact with from the parking lot to drink stands to good stands to the people directing you to your seats. Even security. Their website says not a bad seat in the house and that would be correct. The concert was awesome. Been following Miss Bonnie since I was 17 and I'm now 61. I drove 4 hours to see her there and I would make that trip anytime someone I would like to see is there. Thank you for a great evening.

As many times as I've seen her in concert, I'm always amazed at her fantastic guitar talent 👏 What a treat! Mr. Vaughn & his band were icing on the cake. As a venue, the Rose never disappoints😉

Bonnie Raitt is an excellent singer! Her concert exceeded expectations. I loved her stories that led into the songs she sang. She is a kind an humble human being. I felt like I got to know her better.

We love Bonnie Raitt concerts! We saw her in June in Manchester, UK and this month at The Rose Music Center! She had a real knack for bringing along terrific opening bands and Jimmie Vaughan was a wonderful choice.

  • Overall a good night

by Concert on 9/9/25The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed both shows. Bonnie did not disappoint. However the lady who stood the whole time behind us and never shut up, well that is another story. I believe everyone deserves to enjoy themselves at a concert to the point that it doesn't take away someone else's enjoyment.
