About

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

  • Best concert ever!

by CiCi on 5/12/25The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

From the opening band to the finale, this concert did not disappoint! It exceeded my expectations!! Seeing Bonnie Raitt in concert had been on my bucket list for years!!

  • …she gave us somethin’ ‘t talk about!

by Guy P3 on 5/12/25The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

Even a bad show in the Memphis Orpheum is generally pretty good. But a great show is the best! And that’s whut we got! Great mix of tunes & genuine, easy goin’ banter. AND the bonus of a few encore tunes with a couple of legends who were already in Memphis for other “bidness” …. Keb Mo, Taj Mahal, and several other notables in a fun little jam for the folks. In a world of “I, Me, My”, this lady is a “We, Us, & Our” kinda person (my hunch) off stage & on. As Ernest Tubb used to say …… Mighty Fine, mighty fine!! ….. BUT WAIT !!! Hats off to the Orpheum for the smart vending upgrades and bathroom upgrades too! And to quote an old Memphis rockin’ band, Trapeze …. YOU ARE THE MUSIC ….. WE’RE JUST THE BAND. Not tryin’ to put words in Bonnie R’s mouth. But that was the vibe! ✌️

  • Bonnie Raitt delivered

by Dscotta on 5/12/25The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie hit the mark with her career's highlights with amazing heart and candor. Impressive slide guitar that still sings taking crowd through joy, grief, irreverent youth, sadness and love while always rocking the blues of her roots. The opening band Jon Cleary great NOLA rockers & Bonnie closed night with Jon, Keb Mo, Taj Mahal and more jamming out to rocking blues standard.

  • Great concert

Bonnie Raitt put on a great concert that was pretty much 90 minutes. Her amazing instrumental expertise was shown in her swapping with about 5 different guitars and even playing the piano. Her vocals were on point. We also enjoyed the opening act from New Orleans - Jon Clery and the Absolute Monster Gentleman n

Bonnie Raitt was fantastic! Her voice hasn't changed a bit! She sounded terrific. The Robinson Center is a perfect venue for concerts. It is much more intimate and the acoustics are tremendous! It was sold out!

The sound was not very good. I could not ibersrand anything she said. Nor could I distinguish any of the words in her songs. I know she must have been good . The sound was muffled and not clear at all

  • Still going strong

I saw Bonnie Raitt at a small club (The Shaboo Inn) in 1973. At 75 she can still sing the blues.

  • Something to Talk About in Little Rock

by TM on 5/10/25Robinson Center - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

Bonnie Raitt was FANTASTIC and the venue of the Robinson Center was superb. John Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen open and it was one of the best openings we've enjoyed. She's still got it a 75 and 54yrs of performing. We definitely got our moneys worth!!

We arrived at the event and had tickets up in the third balcony, however, we were comped at the door with third row pit seats. It was the best concert experience I have ever had. Will definitely be back to Robinson auditorium

From getting my tickets to leaving a packed venue it was a GREAT experience. I LOVED listening to Bonnie in the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. I will now be following SMA to see who else will be appearing. I've seen Bonnie 4 times and each time was better than the last. I hope she continues to share her music with us for many more years.
