Too short
by Mickey on 8/23/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 4 out of 5I ALWAYS give Bonnie 5 stars but this was not only too short but too many covers. She has a plethora of her own phenomenal songs without doing someone else’s.

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.
Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

I ALWAYS give Bonnie 5 stars but this was not only too short but too many covers. She has a plethora of her own phenomenal songs without doing someone else’s.
Fell in love with her music in college... She's been great all along but at the Capitol, she was dynamite... I had attended a concert of Bonnie Raitt a few years ago, and she played her more "mainstream/"popular"music. At the Capitol Theater she was reveling in the blues. JJJJimmie Vaughn was a superb choice for an opening act.She played her blues and has not lost half a nite in her voice. She is 75 and I wish her more touring years if that is what she wishes... but I can't wait for a change of administrations... I love Bonnie's hair but now all I can see is Tulsi Gabbard.
The opening band played too long. Bonnie was great but it was WAY too shirt. She didn’t even end with her songs it was a disappointing rip off.
This was a very good show, including both old and new tunes. The venue (Borgata's Event Center) was not great, but Bonnie Raitt comes across very well anywhere. : )
Bonnie Raitt has been in charge for years! She is superb on stage - strong voice, excellent repartee with crowd , generous in sharing song credits. She offers up blues/love songs/rock/storytelling - her tunes or someone else's. And plays a wicked guitar to boot. First saw her 40 years ago and nothin's changed.
As usual, Bonnie Raitt and her band were awesome. However, our seats were in the upper deck and many patrons were having loud conversations during the concert. Patrons were also standing and talking at the tables in the upper covered area like they were in a bar. Not sure why they paid for tickets but they ruined it for many other surrounding patrons, who also paid for tickets and actually wanted to hear and enjoy the music.
Of course Bonnie was her awesome self as usual, but seemed to be in a particularly rare form Friday night in Memphis. There were several musicians in the audience and perhaps that made the difference. Many were invited onstage at the end of the concert and their spontaneous performance rocked the house!
The concert was awesome. She is so into the audience and personable. The music was fantastic and the venue was great.
Bonnie Raitt is a legend and puts on an amazing show! I’ve seen her many times and she never disappoints!
Bonnie sounds and plays just as great as she ever did! Iroquois Amphitheatre is a beautiful venue, run effectively & efficiently! Wonderful night!
She's still got it!!! Bonnie Raitt still sounds phenomenal! I thoroughly enjoyed her singing all of her hits!! Wonderful experience!!!
It’s so easy to get into the Orpheum and helpful staff take you to your seat. Bonnie Raitt performed a great show and to top it off, Keb Mo and Taj Mahall showed up for the finale.
Very enjoyable! Been a fan for years and she has still got it ! Great band and Bonnie still sounds so great !
Bonnie sounds as good at 75 as she did at 35! Legend! So glad I got to see her!
Yet another great show by Bonnie Raitt, a master on slide guitar. Finale was superb with multiple guest musicians. Thank you, Bonnie!
Bonnie Raitt performs from her heart. Such an amazing Blues singer. Love her music and dedication to her fans. For being age 75 she rocks on😊
The concert was amazing! Bonnie Raitt is a fabulous, singer, guitar player, entertainer, etc. She engaged the crowd and felt very authentic in every way! The orpheum was a great location and the crowd easy and pleasant to be part of. It was great that she included the other musicians as well! One of my favorite concerts ever!
She is better every time we see her. You can tell she and the band are having fun. We were lucky that the Blues awards were in town. She had Keb Mo and Taj Mahal with the band on the last song. It was a memorable experience.
Unbelievable concert! She also had Tin Roof play with her at the end and gave us a rare opportunity to take pictures! WE were on the 2nd row and it was absolutely wonderful worth the money and would go back again it she plays near us
