This was my fourth time seeing The Blue Man Group. After the first time, I wanted to share with my family and friends. Seeing them in Chicago AND in New York, definitely enjoy the venue in chicago better. Took friends from England this time. Friends from young to old will DEFINITELY enjoy this!! It really is a must see!!

Blue Man Group Chases the Economic Blues!

by BlueManFan2 on 7/12/10Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

Great fun! Went to a Sunday evening performance of the Blue Man Group with out of town friends...in the lobby during pre-show all anyone can seem to talk about is the economy, yada yada yada...however, this audience engaging performance was fantastic and everyone left with a smile on their face. Afterwards, overheard in the lobby was everyone's favorite part of the show, etc. Forget the economy! Great fun. Amazing performers and a night to remember! Thank you B-M-G!

    Blue Man Group = excellence

by Indyman101 on 7/12/10Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

I have attended a few shows here in Chicago and this was my first one with my wife and kids. The Blue Man Group = excellence. They are what true professionalism is all about! I was very impressed as was my family. They continue to put on shows that entertain and make you think. They continue to include the audience (which my kids were most impressed with). Congrats!!

by cookie143 on 7/12/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

I took my friend as a Birthday gift. I never heard of The Blue Man Group but she has wanted to see it for years. After seeing the show, I would reccommend it to all my friends to see. They didnt speak but they did not need words, the show was colorful and musical. Awesome for kids also but they should be over 5yrs. old.

    Blue Man Group were Fab!

by ShazForrester on 7/11/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

My husband and I and our 6 year old daughter went to see the Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre whilst on holiday in New York this July. My daughter didn't stop laughing the whole time and her own comments were, and I quote, "Fabulous, funny and the best show ever!" The audience participation was what really made it for me and I will definitely go to see them again first chance I get!

Good show if you can get discount tickets. Not worth it you have to pay full price. Don't worry about being in poncho section...you don't really even need the ponchos. Don't see this if your visiting NYC and can only choose one show...it's just a fun show to see if you have plenty time and nothing better to do. Entertaining but very silly. A little good percussion mixed in with a lot of goofiness.

Blue Man Group worth the price

by Ishkabible on 7/10/10Charles Playhouse - Boston

Just took my 70 year old mother to see the Blue Man Group. I was worried it would be too loud for her or that she wouldn't enjoy or "get" the show. I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining the show was and she had a great time. We both thoroughly enjoyed the show, especially the bit with the Twinkies and the audience member. The only part of that show that I did not like was the Captain Crunch bit. It was a little too slow and not worth the time; they should substitute more time on the instruments. I would definately recommend the show and would go again. The Blue Men are accomplished musicians and performance artists.

Not what it used to be...

by ferreal on 7/10/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

It's still a great show, but the actors just aren't as believable as they used to be years ago. kind of felt like they were going through the motions.

    Blue Man Joy!

by Shepherd76 on 7/9/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

Although I had seen Blue Man Group on TV and they have been around for a while, this was the first time I was able to go see them. I'm not sure how the shows are in the other cities of the world, but the one in NYC is a small venue, accommodating about 280 people. Blurring the lines between abstract, performance, and musical art, Blue Man Group incorporates the audience into many of their acts which are all kid friendly, though some fast reading may be required. I loved the audience participation and the curiosity that the Blue Men had with them; it doesn't matter where in the theater you're sitting! Their mute antics were hilarious, cute, and very entertaining. After the show, stick around to take pictures with them and get their signatures!

    Not quite what I expected

    by Rich458 on 7/9/10Charles Playhouse - Boston

I've seen the advertisements and for some reason thought it was going to be a bigger production than it was. There were a few fun things but overall I sat in the "poncho" section with a plastic bag on me in 90 degree weather for no reason... not necessary to wear the poncho except maybe the first row or two. They were funny and it was an ok show, but I couldn't stop thinking that it was something I would see at a college campus somewhere. Good for bringing the kids but maybe not a night on the town for two.

    Something Different!

by Haitham on 7/9/10Charles Playhouse - Boston

I have been living in Boston area for long time now and have been always thinking of going to this show. I just got the chance to do yesterday! It was fun and nice. It is something different. Honestly, i wouldn't say the best, but it is something new and would recommend it for friends on base of discovering new things. I felt it is silly, but in a funny way if this makes sense. I think some risks involved in the show and I was amazed how they overcome them. Well, it is nice overall.
