The show was really funny, really creative, and like nothing I've seen before. I had no idea what the show would be like and I was pleasantly surprised! Very good show!

No Wonder They Don't Allow Photography!

by ATardis on 7/18/10Charles Playhouse - Boston

At the very beginning of this event - a staff member at the theater came over as my husband was about to take a picture of us in the theater, and made it emphatically clear there would be no photography in the theater. Not before, during, or after the show. Not still, nor movie. Not with or without flash. After seeing the show, we are certain that the reason for the policy is that if anyone saw clips of the show on YouTube, it would cut into their ticket sales. The show was awful. There was very little Blue Man music - mostly lame attempts at physical comedy, that became very old, very fast. The first forty minutes seemed like 2 days. The staff was rude after the show, as well. Flexible tubing drops from the ceiling at the end of the show, after the audience gets toilet-papered. The tubing was hitting a young man in the head (it really was hanging low) - and a staff member with an attitude began screaming at the young man to not touch the props. Do yourself a favor - while in Boston, go see ImprovBoston. Go whale watching at the aquarium. Eat at any restaurant in Little Italy. But do not waste your money on this Blue Man Group troop.

    Amazing

by Tracy99 on 7/18/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

I saw the show over ten years ago and this time I brought my kids because I knew they'd love it. I wanted them to see what you can do when you think outside of the box and work together. They couldn't get enough of it. We'll go again in the future.

We had front row seats but every seat was great. So funny and imaginative!

This venue was perfect for Blue Man show. I'd seen the show previously in Vegas and this was a much better experience. Really engaged the audience. My kids (ages 9 & 11) absolutely loved the show. No one in the poncho section had anything sprayed on them, so the ponchos weren't necessary; however, it was part of the "fun" to sit there in a poncho!

    Don't avoid eye contact!

by Texgal68 on 7/16/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

If you avoid eye contact with these guys, apparently your chances of getting pulled onstage greatly increase! That's what happened to me at least. There is no easy way to describe this show, but the element of surprise is huge, and the unexpected should be expected. Expect to get wet if in the poncho section -- and if you don't want to get wet, avoid getting pulled onstage at all costs!!

by cme4ever on 7/15/10Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

My boyfriend took me to the show Tuesday night for my bday and I must say it was a nice surprise I thought the show was very artistic in a unique way. It was funny and very different from other shows I have seen. The Blue Man did an excellent job as well as the band.

by cme4ever on 7/15/10Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

This is the 3 time I see this show in Chicago. I took my girlfriend this time because she had never watched it. After the show she told me that she loved it. All three times I went, the show has not really changed, but I still enjoyed it.

    Excellent!!

by Supremebbc on 7/14/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

The show is excellent!! Funny, exciting, interactive, and lots of fun. From the start walking in they grab the crowds attention and participation! I would recommend this to anyone into music, art, comedy or just looking for something diffrent. The only downside is theater is very small!!! Im6'1 and couldn't really fit in the seats!!! It's so tight and cramped!

    Blue Man Group needs updating!!

by talkingmedicineblond on 7/12/10Astor Place Theatre - New York

I saw their show 16 years ago and looked forward to seeing it again with my niece and 2 friends. I assumed that somehow it had been modernized and updated in the last 16 years but no! -- it was the same! Those same little "computer tricks" are not new and fun -- the show dragged in spots and I was truly bored. And the drumming was not even that good. I was hugely disappointed and the teens were not impressed. Come on you guys -- get creative again -- it is 2010 now -- not 1992!
