  • An absolutely amazing time!

by Bob Bitt on 1/9/24Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I had never seen the show before, so wasn't sure what to expect. We took our 8 year old granddaughter to see the Blue Man Group and we had an amazing time. She loved it! We laughed so much. We will certainly be going again, but this time sit closer to the stage:) Just a terrific show that I highly recommend!

  • Blue Men entertain … again

by cbow on 1/9/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Took our 6 grandchildren (ages 7 -14) to see BMG last week at a 1pm performance. Arrived 2 hrs before show, parked next to Briar St Theatre and paid $17, went to lunch at neighborhood diner (Stella’s) and returned about 12:40 to stand in line for doors to open. Logistics worked smoothly 😊. Show featured perhaps 75%+ of the same sketches as when we saw it a year ago, but still entertaining. Music & percussion was loud for the 7 & 8 year olds, but they adjusted by about 20 min into the show. Earplugs are available from ushers as are booster seats. Probably half the crowd was children & youth, and it’s great fun and entertainment for them. Most adults seem to enjoy it too. I’ve read some negative reviews and most seem to come from people who didn’t know what the BMG show is like. We’re fans and will probably see it again, somewhere in the US in 2-3 years. Our seats were on the aisle on right side, far enough back that they weren’t the highest price. Theatre is small (300?), so our seats were good.

  • Blue Man Group Rocks!

by MKalwasinski on 1/8/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

My wife, son, and I had a terrific time at the Blue Man Group show that we attended on December 31. Great venue and personable staff. The show was entertaining from start to finish, and there was never a dull moment. Great for all ages. We were fortunate to get an additional performance to help ring in the New year.

  • Blue man group was excellent

by Kristin on 1/8/24Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great! 4 adults and 4 teen girls all enjoyed! We didn’t want to be up front and chose the balcony. We ended up on the top right of the stage. The entertainers did try to keep us involved but if you choose the side balcony be aware it tough to see some of the act and you miss out on some of the fun. Would like to hon again with better seats.

  • Perfect NYE Night with Kids

by Candy on 1/4/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

My three boys ages 8-13 totally had so much fun at the show. They gave us NY’s hats and tiara’s to wear along with noise makers. We did an early count down to the NY at the end of the show. Totally recommend the show, especially for NYE! Enjoy!!! 😊

  • Family fun! B

by FabricAndScissors on 1/3/24Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the third (or fourth?) time for my husband and I enjoying the show, but it was the first time for my parents, and I think they loved the show even more than us!!!

  • It was interesting

by Blue eyes on 1/3/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Saw Blue Man 25 years ago and not much has changed in the act. Some parts were a tad boring, some parts were funny and great. I appreciated the champagne they offered for new years eve and the party hats. Too much down time and prob too much audience participation which wasn't even that entertaining. So much more can be done with the paint and music. Think they need to revamp the show. But seeing it twice in my lifetime is plenty. I'd recommend seeing it at least once, if you have nothing better to do.

  • Over priced

by Juanita on 1/3/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

It was too over priced for what it's really word. The show felt short and the seating was not too close to stage. We were in row 7 for $264 just me and my daughter. Personally, its recommended for families with kids, my 9 yr old loved it. For me it was ok. Would I consider it again? Alone with no kid? No, bit for her yes. I just wouldn't pay so much for such close seats for the entire room has the same visual as we did.

  • Parking pass didn’t work

by Meg on 1/3/24Charles Playhouse - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

We went to a show in Boston on New Year’s Eve. The show was great. We bought the $15 parking pass through Ticketmaster for the garage next to the theater, hoping to avoid parking chaos on NYE. We arrived at the garage and there was a “Lot Full” sign blocking the entrance. Two other cars were pulled over next to us experiencing the same issue - bought their passes online and couldn’t get in. They were calling but no one was answering. We walked around and weren’t able to find any parking attendants or office. We had to drive around and find street parking which made us late for our dinner reservations. Not sure how they can sell a parking pass then not reserve those spots for everyone who paid.

  • Great show

by JM77 on 1/3/24Astor Place Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Super afternoon spent with the Blue Man Group. The Astor Theatre is a small, intimate setting and even though we were sitting in the even numbers of Row E of the Balcony, we all had a great view. Lasted 90minutes, no interval but you don’t notice the time passing. Great, entertaining and clean family fun.

  • FUN!

by Larry on 1/2/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Brought my 8 year old granddaughter, son, and daughter-in-law. All enjoyed it. Granddaughter is not a TV watcher, so had NO idea as to what BMG would be about. We simply told her that it would be loud with flashy lights. She happened to be in a seat which an actor used to climb to the back - she loved it!

  • A Must See Experience

by Joel on 1/2/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic experience and a must-do when travelling to the states

  • Not the first time

by Zubahri on 1/2/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time viewing the Blue Man Group. The show is entertaining and fantastic. There will be tons of laughter and it’s great for the kids to see. I don’t know if that was my last time watching the show but I might be in a seat in 2024!

  • 85% excellent condition. 15% bad updates

by Jediblueman on 1/2/24Briar Street Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

All the new changes or restorations to old material are fantastic except for two major pieces. The new audience awkward romance but is cheap, not very funny, and simply not nearly as good as the iconic Twinkie feast. Huge downgrade. The song Hex suit with audience participation is just kind of meh and not nearly as good as Rods and Cones that it replaced Otherwise, aside from the tubes from ceiling having been missing for over a decade, this is as good as the show has ever been
