About

berlioz is a jazz-house producer from the rural outskirts of Cornwall, England. Taking his stage alias from the French 19th century composer, the DJ born Ted Jasper describes his unique style as “if Matisse made house music” and burst onto the scene in 2022 with singles like “nyc in 1940,” “miro” and “la danse.” In 2023, berlioz followed that string of singles with the five-track EP jazz is for ordinary people, featuring tracks like “hot house,” “deep in it,” “r&r” and “wash my sins away.”

  • Berlioz is the Best Sound on Earth!

    by Toni J. on 9/21/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Berlioz fed my entire being days later I can still feel the impact of their music LIVE. I never knew instruments could feel that way. I dream to perform with them one day, I can tell they are intentional with their music and I will never forget that experience. As long as they tour I will always come to their Atlanta shows. I could go on and on, but I will end saying this Berlioz helped me taste life in ways I always dreamed of. I will continue to take myself out to enjoy music just to enjoy myself.

  • Amazing. Worth it

by Tiara on 9/21/25Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Everything happened orderly. The line moved swiftly. There was no confusion and it seemed as if the workers had everything well planned. There was a lady that worked there with red hair and she was so kind and helpful and she even stayed with me until my Uber got there because I was alone. I had a great experience. The venue was nice and organized. Everyone respected each others space. The staff worked hard. I definitely go to anther concert here.

  • Fantastic surprise

by Lunathestar on 9/19/25Citizens House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Didn’t know what to expect from a Berlioz concert but I was stunned. You get completely carried away by the beats, the rhythms and the beautiful melody of the saxophone. Spent the concert on a little cloud!

  • a vibe

by sneaysamurai on 9/18/25The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Berlioz has great music but the live performance is sensational. Berlioz mixes the songs live and the other artists ( Saxophone, Bass and Piano), then riff or play with him. It ends up being the perfect combination of soothing jazz and energetic house. They could have played for three days straight and I wouldn't get bored

  • Great experience

by AJ on 9/17/25The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great experience! I think it was ran very well, staff was able to answer questions and they remained strict on reserved seating. I wish it wasn’t no re-entry as I wanted to double back for merch after walking out for 1 second and trying to turn back around at the closing of the show but oh well. The line for merch was pretty confusing with where it started so I quickly got overwhelmed and gave up

  • Top 5 concert experience

by Sunny on 9/16/25The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Lighting, sound, ambiance, musicality, immersed all my senses!! The Fillmore is a perfect venue for a closer-knit feel with the music right in front of you.

  • It sounds better than the studio recording

by VoicedbyBrianna on 9/15/25Rating: 5 out of 5

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE!?? They sound better live than the studio recordings I am in awe . I had a complete natural high experience listening to Berlioz live. I didn’t want it to end

  • Highlight of my summer!

by GlowyFlowy on 9/15/25The Fillmore Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

It was simply incredible. Everything I expected and more. The lights, stage, and setlist complemented each other. He was very effortless about how perfect his show was, too. It was giving, "I'm just a guy", and yet he is so powerful. The atmosphere was celebratory and low-key at the same time. I went with my friends, and it ended up being such a cool girls night bonding moment. berlioz Philly fans are a cool and attractive and considerate bunch. Multi-generational and cultural. Honestly, wish I could go to his other dates but I am working hard on getting my life together now. Also, wish he had spoken to us a bit more, but hey, can't be too greedy.

  • Best show ever

by Eddy on 6/3/25House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

They had an amazing delivery and opener, they played their most liked songs by fans and di nit pull any random stuff of their bunker like many artists do at concerts. They engaged with their audience and did a great job at targeting what we were there for (at least for me). This was my frost time seeing them here in Texas and is hard finding shows like that here so I really hope they come again soon!
