I was at the festival in 2022, which was a sublime experience. This year (2023), the event was much more crowded. Most of the audience members talk non-stop throughout the shows, which is distracting if you are there to actually listen to music.
Favorite for me was Patti Smith!! Even in the rain , she rocked!! Had a great time all 3 days!
Brilliant 3 days! Bands rocked it! Over too quick Real well run festival! Sound guys rule And roadies amazing turn around:. Just brilliant.. Want to still be there! Also the local band after brill..
Amazing! We will definitely be next year! The event was very well organized! Inside the event there were many drink, food and hydration stations. Lots of bathrooms. The venue was clean each day. People were very friendly. The whole atmosphere was fun! We are looking forward to next year!
The organizers for this year's Beach Road festival deserve kudos for providing another 3 days of a musical Eden! Despite some rain on the first day, the music kept everyone in good spirits and the highlights too numerous to mention. A good balance of diverse acts over the weekend. Highlights for performances over the weekend included Patti Smith, John Hiatt, Gregory Porter, The Head and the Heart, Japanese Breakfast, Leon Bridges just to name a few. Interesting sequence in the line-up was Regina Specktor following Dinosaur, Jr. Full out punk rocking to piano accompanied songstress. This was the second year in a row that I attended and will plan to be there next year!
Less music for more money this year. 2022 music was 10:30am-8pm. 2023 music was 12-8; 7 on Friday. Less music for more money doesn’t add up for me.
Not to mention, music started at 10:30am and went until 8pm in ‘22, so less music for almost twice the cost.
Beach Road 2022 had a better lineup, and was $150 less per 3 day pass. Unimpressed with this year.
The venue was great, even despite some rainy weather - and the shows ran on schedule with good communication when timing changed (someone was a no show, so timing was changed last-minute, but NBD) Plenty of helpful and genuinely nice staff
Beach Road was very well organized and we thoroughly enjoyed our expereince! Already making plans for next year!
