WICKED is a Tony-winning sensation that has been defying gravity and delighting Broadway audiences since 2003. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the fantastical prequel to The Wizard of Oz was nominated for 10 Tony Awards after it opened at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City, and won three, including Best Actress for Idina Menzel, who played the original Elphaba. The musical’s first national tour opened in 2005 and ever since, WICKED’s touring production has criss-crossed North America offering theatergoers one short day in the Emerald City filled with magic, music and the ”untold true story of the Witches of Oz.” The second national tour — known as the “Munchkinland Tour” — has been an open-ended production since 2009 and now stars Olivia Valli as Elphaba and Celia Hottenstein as Glinda.

WICKED is currently on tour through August 2024, making stops at major cities across the U.S. Individual and group tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster.com.

Group bookings to see WICKED require a minimum purchase of 15 tickets. Group prices vary by performance, seating and military/student rates. Tickets for groups can be viewed here.
The recommended age for children to see WICKED is eight and up. However, rules for minimum age may vary by theater, so be sure to check for details and information about kids under eight at each specific venue. Children under five will not be admitted.
The current cast of WICKED’s North American tour includes Olivia Valli as Elphaba, Celia Hottenstein as Glinda, Timothy Shew as The Wizard, Christian Thompson as Fiyero, Tara Kostmayer as Nessarose, Kyle McArthur as Boq, Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible and Boise Holmes as Doctor Dillamond.

by Robin on 1/15/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleI couldn’t be more happy or pleased with this performance! I hadn’t seen Wicked yet. I had tickets for the Broadway production in 2021. However, a member of the cast tested positive for Covid hours before the performance and it got canceled. Tears were falling from my eyes during For Good! Loved the storyline! Loved the cast! I’m one lucky lady for getting a ticket to this and at the Tennessee Theater!

To my surprise at one of the dates were literally 3 seats left, so I did got one of those seats! The show was superb specially its production value! Literally sets are like changing almost every scene, so ticket prices you paid is already worth it, plus the storyline and actors were extremely engaging, funny and at times scary! kudos to all cast and crew for this magnificent musical play!

The Wizard of Oz is one of my all-time favorite movies, so I love the idea of telling the story from the witch's perspective. What an impressive performance! The story didn't disappoint, the sets were amazing, and the performers were top caliber. I'll remember this night for a long time.

The people that oversee the doors to go to your seats need the same communication at every door when it comes to buying $70 in snacks at intermission to be told cannot bring the snacks and drinks into the theatre. Others all around had drinks and snacks. When asked, everyone else had come into different doors. Everyone that came in the doors for our rows were told no.
