The show was outstanding. The Dip opened the show. I wasn't familiar with them prior, but they sounded great. Super tight neo-Soul type band with 3 horns. They've been together 10 years and it shows. Black Pumas were incredible! Great songs, great vocals, great playing! Sound for the show was very good. Overall I like the Salt Shed a lot, both indoors now and outdoors in the summer. One minor complaint was the lighting. Don't know if that was a function of the Black Pumas or The Salt Shed, but WAY too much of the time, instead of the lights facing the stage and illuminating it, they were coming from behind the stage into the face of the audience, basically blinding you until they moved them. I understand doing this once or twice in a show, but it was far more frequent than that and really made it difficult to look directly into them. The lighting director REALLY needs to reconsider this approach. But overall, a splendid show!
