About
ADAM CAROLLA is best known as a comedian, actor, radio personality, television host and NY Times best-selling author. He currently hosts The Adam Carolla Show, which holds the Guinness Book of World Records title for “most downloaded podcast," and was recently a star on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. His latest book, Not Taco Bell Material, was released in June 2012 from Random House Publishing.
Adam started The Adam Carolla Show podcast with only a computer and a microphone from his home office in February 2009. That year the podcast was named iTunes #1 Podcast of 2009, and it has only grown since then. The podcast receives more than five million downloads a month and has been featured in Fast Company Magazine, Entrepreneur, The New York Times, and The Los Angeles Times. Adam’s immediate success prompted him to launch an entire online network, ACE Broadcasting in February 2010, which produces many of iTunes' top podcast programming.
Adam became a New York Times best-selling author when his book, In 50 Years We'll All Be Chicks, topped the charts for ten weeks. The audio version went straight to the #1 position on iTunes and remains there today. His new e-book, Rich Man Poor Man, is now available on iTunes.
Before running his online empire, Adam hosted The Adam Carolla Show on CBS radio stations in Los Angeles, Portland and Las Vegas. The four-hour weekday morning program was syndicated in several major markets, including Seattle, Sacramento and Fresno.
Adam has also starred on ABC's hit reality series Dancing with the Stars, hosted Comedy Central's Too Late with Adam Carolla and starred in TLC's The Adam Carolla Project, which chronicled the renovation and subsequent sale of his boyhood home.
Following brief stints as a skilled carpenter and boxing trainer, Adam began his career in radio after answering an ad seeking a boxing instructor to train then radio personality Jimmy Kimmel of KROQ's Kevin and Bean Show in Los Angeles. He eventually joined the show's repertoire as “Mr. Birchum,” a wood shop teacher. Adam’s success on KROQ led to a hosting job on the nationally syndicated radio program Loveline with Dr. Drew Pinsky. MTV developed a television version of the show, which was co-hosted by Adam and Dr. Drew for five seasons (1996-2000). The duo also authored The Dr. Drew and Adam Book: A Survival Guide to Life and Love.
With his partners Daniel Kellison and Jimmy Kimmel, Adam heads Jackhole Industries, and created and starred in two hit Comedy Central shows, The Man Show and Crank Yankers.
A native of Southern California, Adam currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Lynette, and their twins.

Aceman was spot-on!
by Anonymous on 6/6/11Palace of Fine Arts - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5If you love Adam's podcasts, then I would recommend any of Adam's events. You have to be a fan of his to understand his humor, otherwise you won't get it.
Not worth $50 Bucks!
by held on 6/6/11Palace of Fine Arts - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5I like Adam Carolla and have listened to him on the radio for a long time. Unfortunately, his live show was not very entertaining...meaning I did not really laugh very hard because he was just not that funny...yes he is likeable, but just not that funny. The reality is that he is a radio guy and to expect a full blown standup comedy routine may be expecting to much...but for $50 bucks at a nice venue like the Palace of Fine Arts that is what I expected. His routines seemed to not have real punchlines and were not geared toward the audience at all. In addition, he interspearsed his live performance with clips of old show bits that anyone can probably find on the Internet...again not $50 per seat material. Lastly I liked his bit about his income in the years before he became famous the best, but as a Jew (and I'm one too) he should know that once you start showing people you make over $300,000 per year, you have just lost 90% of the audience who can't concieve how that is done (and I do make that) and they are no longer cheering for you, but resenting you (no matter how much of a go for your dreams message you put in there). So ultimately I felt underwhelmed and slightly ripped off when the quick show ended, and my wife looked at me like was that worth getting a baby-sitter for and coming out to this nice place? Adam, if you want to charge $50 bucks to be seen you need to deliver the goods, not just phone it in.
Adam Carolla is hilarious
by Barxder on 6/6/11Palace of Fine Arts - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5Great seats. great show. Only down part is the palace of fine arts doesn't allow drinks into auditorium. They sell them but you have to drink them in the lobby?
Funny & real

by JLOWW on 5/18/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5I think Carolla is great, very funny. It was unlike any stand-up in fact I don't even know if you could call it that lot of picture clips all stuff that I can relate with. VERY FUNNY
adam was ugh!
by frogcic on 5/18/11Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5I purchased these tickets as a gift for my boyfriend who is a huge Adam Carolla fan! We were very excited to go and had looked forward to it for sometime. Our seats were aisles like I had requested but they were right by the door that was to the consessions and we had people walking in front of us the entire show. Beer was 10 for a medium draft beer, which is more than you pay at a MLB game!! The show was ok but it was hard to enjoy after all the negatives that were around us!

Better than expected!
by ptbfan on 5/17/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5I surprised my husband with Adam Carolla tickets and really wasn't a big fan of the AceMan, however, after this performance...BIG FAN. Loved it and couldn't stop talking about it. This really was a great event and his stories really are true life stories. Great comedy!
Adam Carolla Rocks
by HillsboroDenise on 5/17/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5I love Adam's humor and seeing him live was great. Although he's outspoken and politically incorrect, he left with a message that resonated with me. If you want to know what that message is, you'll have to see the show. Come back soon, Adam!

by dermeister07 on 5/16/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5I've listened to him for years on Loveline radio and he always kept me laughing. It was great to get the opportunity to see him live as he is even more hilarious. I would definitely recommend seeing him and I am hoping he comes back to Portland, OR. I will go see him again for sure.

Carolla Was Hilarious
by BumperstickerDan on 5/16/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5Adam Carolla turned the Schnitz into his den for 90 minutes on Saturday night. It was like going over to a buddy's house for one drink but you end up staying for hours and laughing til beer comes out your nose. The Ace Man's observations and stories have a familiarity and warmth that sure resonated with the surprisingly large crowd - I was surprised to find the place mostly full until I realized his podcast is highly popular. Great time was had by all.
Carolla got it on!
by Kook1228 on 5/16/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5Genuinely funny show! Great use of pictures to tell the story and bring the humor to life. I spent ninety dollars on two tickets and it was worth every cent. If the Ace man comes to your town, get your ass to the show. You won't be disappointed.
Carolla delivers a solidly funny show!
by gamblinmat on 5/16/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5I've been listening to Adam Carolla for years since his early radio days and am a big fan of his podcast. I've always loved his hyper vigilant rantings views and rants and his stories are as familiar as those of your favorite, snarky uncle. There's not much new material in a show like this, but the familiar is funny and engaging and the laughter comes genuine and freely. Good job Ace Man!!!
