ADAM CAROLLA is best known as a comedian, actor, radio personality, television host and NY Times best-selling author. He currently hosts The Adam Carolla Show, which holds the Guinness Book of World Records title for “most downloaded podcast," and was recently a star on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. His latest book, Not Taco Bell Material, was released in June 2012 from Random House Publishing.
Adam started The Adam Carolla Show podcast with only a computer and a microphone from his home office in February 2009. That year the podcast was named iTunes #1 Podcast of 2009, and it has only grown since then. The podcast receives more than five million downloads a month and has been featured in Fast Company Magazine, Entrepreneur, The New York Times, and The Los Angeles Times. Adam’s immediate success prompted him to launch an entire online network, ACE Broadcasting in February 2010, which produces many of iTunes' top podcast programming.
Adam became a New York Times best-selling author when his book, In 50 Years We'll All Be Chicks, topped the charts for ten weeks. The audio version went straight to the #1 position on iTunes and remains there today. His new e-book, Rich Man Poor Man, is now available on iTunes.
Before running his online empire, Adam hosted The Adam Carolla Show on CBS radio stations in Los Angeles, Portland and Las Vegas. The four-hour weekday morning program was syndicated in several major markets, including Seattle, Sacramento and Fresno.
Adam has also starred on ABC's hit reality series Dancing with the Stars, hosted Comedy Central's Too Late with Adam Carolla and starred in TLC's The Adam Carolla Project, which chronicled the renovation and subsequent sale of his boyhood home.
Following brief stints as a skilled carpenter and boxing trainer, Adam began his career in radio after answering an ad seeking a boxing instructor to train then radio personality Jimmy Kimmel of KROQ's Kevin and Bean Show in Los Angeles. He eventually joined the show's repertoire as “Mr. Birchum,” a wood shop teacher. Adam’s success on KROQ led to a hosting job on the nationally syndicated radio program Loveline with Dr. Drew Pinsky. MTV developed a television version of the show, which was co-hosted by Adam and Dr. Drew for five seasons (1996-2000). The duo also authored The Dr. Drew and Adam Book: A Survival Guide to Life and Love.
With his partners Daniel Kellison and Jimmy Kimmel, Adam heads Jackhole Industries, and created and starred in two hit Comedy Central shows, The Man Show and Crank Yankers.
A native of Southern California, Adam currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Lynette, and their twins.
Great show funny as hell !!!!! Hope he comes back to Toronto
Great show, just don't like comedians always commenting about being out of their surrounding and putting down the IE. Adam left a great message to his audience in reflection on how he made it as a cellebrity from working so many jobs. Had a great time.
My husband is the fan. I thought the show was mediocre.
Seems like he just got on stage and it was over. Saw him check his watch once. Wonder if he had another date? Was hoping he would "bitch" about life in general a little more. Maybe say something from his latest book that I really enjoyed reading.
The ace man delivers the laughs. You won't be disappointed.
Great show ! Don't miss it. More than just a comedy show.
Adam is super witty and funny on the fly. That guy's brain works so quickly, it is amazing. Get it on!!
My good friend and I had a very good time. Adam was funny and enlightening!. The Palace of Fine Arts is a great venue.
Love the dude, stories were hilarious! I thought he'd be doing a live podcast, but that wasn't the case. The guy just got up there and told some hilarious stories like only he can and left us with some great words of wisdom to follow our dreams.
Great show! Funny and heartfelt. Fan of podcast and of Man Show. Interesting format for stand-up.
How can someone charge for that kind of crap. For someone to tell us at the end of the show how much he makes and to think i contribute to his income SUCKS. You listen to someone pod cast all the time and then you go see that crap. makes me hate his pod cast lost me
My wife and I thought Adam Carolla was really funny. The use of the photos and slides was great!
Great show, great supplements to the show with the slideshows, brought a friend who had never seen Carolla before and he was floored, absolutely floored, as to how funny this show was.
Carolla delivers every time - he is the Podfather. His stand-up show was on point AND he had new material even though I know all his stuff. CAROLLA IS KING!
I didn't know it was still funny to be racist...I want my 50 bucks back.
I really like Adam Carolla so it is hard to give him a poor review, but wow it was awful! His jokes were straight out of the 90s, from the Love Line era. The stories were too long with no real punchline and it dragged on and on. I was very disappointed, and I think most of the people around me were too.
Loved the show. Adam was fantastic. Great venue. Hope he returns.
This "show" was a joke -- and not in a good way. When you leave a COMEDY event (after paying good money) and everyone around you leaves in stunned silence, that isn't good! Completely horrible, Adam Carolla was NOT a good presenter and he just repeated every story you have already heard.
We are avid Carolla fans and he didn't disapoint. We loved the show and hope he comes back again soon.
I enjoyed the show ,alot of the material I heard before from his book and podcasts but it was still funny hearing it live. His routine was improved by putting a little local San Francisco humor into it. I appreciated the fact that he took the time to autograph and allow photos after the show. I wasn't crazy about the last 10 minutes of the show where he was talking about how much money he makes since it seemed to me more bragging than funny, at the end of that bit he tried to make it sound inspirational which helped a little. If you listen to Adam's podcasts you know he likes to talk alot about himself so It wasn't too much of a suprise. He tried to make it look like he wasnt bragging at the end and make it sound inspiration which I didn't buy. Regardless he is a very funny guy The show was only an hour long, and it started 20 minutes late it would have been nice if he had someone such as a local comedian and give a stand up routine to start off the show.
