A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

  • Well run show with too many bands.

    by G. F. on 9/8/22Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

The positives: It was an incredibly hot day and I very much appreciate the venue giving out waters and fans as well as having misting fans. The show was run very smoothly with minimal set up time between each act. What little we got from each band was really good. The negatives: With so many bands the sets were just way too short. This worked well for some of the earlier bands that were more of the one hit wonder variety, but for a band like Oingo Boingo with an extensive catalogue there was not enough time left to do them justice. I think dumping the first few bands and giving the headliner more time than the opening acts would have made for a better show.

  • Totally Tubular!

All of the bands for the 80's Rewind Fest were AWESOME! I wished they could've played longer.

  • Mixed Bag

by Gail on 9/7/22Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 3 out of 5

Lost 80’s is a mixed bag. We have all gotten older. Don’t expect the bands to sound like it’s 1984. Voice quality varied a lot. Instruments still sounded great. It was fun but required you to set the bar at a reasonable level for the vocalists. Missing Persons was my favorite.

  • The workers were excellent

by Tina on 9/7/22Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 1 out of 5

by Tracy L. on 9/7/22Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. The bands were as good or better than they were back in the 80's. I will be going annually now!!!!!

  • I love The 80’s

by Shers on 12/30/21Petco Park - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

It never rains in California!! But it did Monday night! Rain was expected seems like the venue could have put up some sort of tent. Also with the rain seems like the bands could have shortened their sets. We were dressed for rain so it wasnt too bad. Flick of Seagulls were the best!!! So glad we stayed the course to see them perform their hits!!

Great performance, but show was cut short on them, think venue wanted to close at 11pm. Would have loved to hear "i ran" live for first time ever.

Suzi Q was hit-or-miss on songs. Animotion was ok. Dramarama was amazing. Romantics was ok Naked eyes was ok Flock of Seagull(s) sounded good but didnt have a clue there was an 11pm hard shutdown and had to walk off stage without singing last song " I Ran".

  • Terrible no headliner

  • 80’s New Wave 4 Life!!!

by NewAgeWatts on 12/21/21Palladium Times Square - New York CityRating: 5 out of 5

INCREDIBLE show!!!! All bands were fantastic! Too bad Men at Work couldn’t make it… but rest of bands made up for them and filled the space. Especially awesome was Dramarama playing a Christmas song (Run Run Rudolph) and then playing backup for the Romantics lead singer. Their energy was amazing and they blew away us all! Flock of Seagulls is always incredible!!!

  • Poor time management

by Mike on 12/21/21Palladium Times Square - New York CityRating: 3 out of 5

The last band got pulled off the stage before they could play their most famous song because it was past 11. Poor time management

  • Great singing, needs a full band.

by Al D. Rut on 12/17/21The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura HillsRating: 4 out of 5

Without much research of previous shows, I was expecting a four member band. Mike Score's emotional performance made up for only having a guitarist, who seemed bored at first but then showed signs of life and even shredded some. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike sang my favorite (AFOS) song (Space Age Love Song) twice, consecutively. It was very well received by the entire audience. A third time was a little unnecessary, though, when a couple other songs were missed, especially from the first album. My wife and I took our teenager kids who like the band and had a good time, especially being such a small venue. I tried to sneak in the back to speak with Mike but to no avail. I would have liked to say to him that I still hear his style influencing other bands, whether intentionally or not. I believe the Tom DeLonge band Angels and Airwaves (at times) sounds like a fusion of Blink 182 and A Flock of Seagulls.

  • flock of 1 Seagull

by changemaker on 12/13/21The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura HillsRating: 2 out of 5

the opening act for this band was absolutely dreadful, people in the audience were trying so hard not to laugh out loud, the female singer was completely flat in her pitch, more "performance art" than music and after paying for $100.00 worth of tickets, we expected entertainment NOT to have to sit through an act like this, we wouldn't even consider this music or attending her performance, even if it was free. Mike Score of Flock of Seagulls , was okay and the only Seagull, Just Mike and a guitarist that he introduced by first name only, as he clearly didn't perform with him on a regular basis. Appreciated him playing his 3 hits and he introduced a new song he is recording for 2022, but really was hoping to see a full band, instead no drums, just playing to a dat machine, Mike on keyboards and guitarist (who was really good and out performed Mike) Halfway through the act, the audience in the back rushed the stage and we had no choice but to stand so we could see. Again, we paid a lot of money to sit up front. This was ridiculous and disrespectful to folks who paid the price for these seats up front. Not what we expected at all. Then a woman in the audience, jumped on stage to dance with the band and security did nothing, She was obviously drinking and easily could have fallen on the speakers or worse off the stage. No one seemed to care. The food was awful, seriously - the salad greens looked old, not clean and dry. We didn't touch the salad. The mashed potatoes were whipped so much looked like oatmeal on your plate and for the price, again 50.00 a person just for the food not worth a dinner seat AT ALL. We were so disappointed in the entire night and it's going to be a long time before we considering going back to the Canyon Club. They just don't care anymore in the quality of the event or the food that is presented. This place has gone WAY down hill....which is too bad, was a great venue at one time.
