Never Lets You Down
by Blue Jean on 11/27/25Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5This is my second time seeing Strangelove, the first time is when they opened for Flock of Seagulls and I was blown away. The second time, they were the headliners and also did a David Bowie Tribute called Electric Duke and the whole show was electrifying. I could not imagine having a better time if DM and Bowie themselves were putting the show on. Leo “Ultra Dave” Luganskiy is smoldering on stage in his homage to Dave Gahan, Brent Meyer as “Counterfeit Martin” Guitarist and keyboardist for both Strangelove and Electric Duke was mesmerizing to watch as he was conducting his own symphony of electronic music, vocals and guitar. Julian Shah-Tayler as “Oscar Wilder” was amazing to watch on keyboards and incredible backing vocals, but he blew my mind as Bowie in the Electric Duke Tribute. I was so ecstatic to see this show as I am a HUGE Bowie fan and this is the closest I will probably ever get to see to seeing a Bowie concert. It was great to experience Bowie’s songs done by such a fantastic tribute and I’d love to see them do a bigger show with this too, but I digress. James Evans- "In The Fletch"as Andy Fletcher is hard to take your eyes off of because he has such a commanding look about him and he has great backing vocals, too! That leaves Chris Olivas- "Chris-tian O-gner"their incredible drummer who drummed for both shows and was just fantastic. 10/10 will go every time they come to town.
