The Halloween 2022 show at Humphreys was amazing and I couldn't wait to attend again this year; however, this year's concert was disappointing in a few ways.
1. Most disappointing was the fact that Oingo Boingo Former Members did not perform nearly as long as they did last year; they ended the show quite abruptly, citing some sort of curfew. There was no encore -- just the end of the show. If there was, in fact, a curfew of some sort, they should have limited the number of opening acts as there were three of them and we could have easily done without one or two of them. We wanted to hear more from Oingo Boingo Former Members -- we were there for their whole show. . . and that is not what we got.
2. We loved the show so much last year that we splurged this year and purchased the front row seating (which included a suite at Humphreys and a pre-show dinner). We looked forward to having an unobstructed view of the stage and, for most of the show, that is what we had; however, as the show neared the end, the security cleared out and allowed all people from all areas to rush the stage which completely negated the benefit of our front row seats. In fact, this was not only annoying because our view was taken away, but people surged all around us and enveloped us, which was not what we "signed up for". If this is Humphreys new normal, we don't think we will be purchasing front row seats again.
