A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

The show overall was awesome and at the price to see so many groups that i remember hearing as a kid was just great. Other than a few snafu's like trans x no microphone for the whole song and couple other glitches we had a great time on the beach and dancing in the water. Drink prices were ridiculous thought at $14 for a glass of wine and $9 beers.

  • As always. Lost 80's rocked

It was a really good show. We enjoyed it all. I just wish there was more merchandise for sale. It was a bit sparse.

  • Wang Chung? Flock of Seagulls? YES!

by DonBar on 8/13/13Mandalay Bay Beach - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

First the good, The stars of the show were Wang Chung and Flock of Seagulls. They rocked the party. I wish both could have had a longer set. This is my 3rd year at this concert. I'll be back next year. Animotion was high energy and still sound good. Thank goodness When In Rome also played. They are a spectacular band and sound just like they did back in the day; I was thrilled to see they were there even though they were not on the set list. Trans-X had a slight mishap when the lead singers microphone wasn't working. It lasted an entire song but nobody seemed to care. He had the look and the energy and we rocked on anyways. Now the bad. The Flirts? Never heard of them and don't care to hear of them again. Gary Mynick? Same thing. I thought it was amateur night at the Karaoke Palace. The worse? Bow Wow Wow. They've apparently recruited a new singer. Annabella she is not.

  • Decent show

by Slim1121 on 8/13/13Mandalay Bay Beach - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

The show was just fair in my opinion. The audio at the beginning was subpar. They seemed to get it fixed, though I suspect that was an issue with the band on not the Mandalay Bay. Some of the songs I knew and many I did not know. I guess that was my fault for seeing "80's" and remembering the songs I grew up with. With the exception of about 5 songs, most of them weren't memorable to me. The venue was kind of nice in that the beach atomosphere added to the relaxation of what the 80's music was all about (sans the hair bands from the 80's). All in all it was fair, but probably not worth the $35 a ticket (not including the fees).

  • Flocking with the Seagulls

    by Terrell1 on 11/5/12Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

it was the first time I had been to the renovated Buckhead Theatre. Y'all did an amazing job with the renovation. Loved the show and the meet & greet that followed the concert. I will definitely be returning.

  • As good as he was in 1982 !!

    by Jongilbert1 on 11/4/12The Buckhead Theater - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I saw Him at the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta back in 82 I think after watching the Police across the street at the Fox Theater and I was mezmerized. I went to see him tonight in Atlanta at the Buckhead theater and he was just as good. His voice was nice and out front of the music and the musicianship was very good also. After the show he kindly invited the "hanger arounders" like my self back stage to say hello. What a nice guy. What great music. Thanks for a great night.

  • A Flock of Seagulls

by VLMa on 1/2/11The Canyon - Agoura HillsRating: 4 out of 5

Great! Wonderful to see and hear them in person. They did a great job! They should get out more and play at different places with small venues, especially to the younger crowds. One thing though, they only came out at 10PM and played for about 30-45 minutes and left and said they would come back. Actually, they didn't return until after midnight, so what is up with that? Also, their DJ was Ok, but he needs a better mix of songs. The Canyon Club was Ok but they have a few things to work on; for one, they need better food & service - they also need to add a variety of drinks, coffees & teas to their bar, not just have hard liquor. All previous reviews were correct about the food - they need better preparation and better chefs. We ordered the spinach dip and it must have been microwaved because the cheese on the top was hard and clumped together into one big ball. We also ordered the veggie lasagna and it was terrible. The Club needs a remodeling facelift and should make all smokers go out back, not in front of the business; smoke trickles into the Club and you have to walk past it as you come and leave.

  • Flock of Seagulls w When in Rome

by Joe45 on 6/28/10Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan CapistranoRating: 4 out of 5

All the bands were good. When in Rome played their hits, and flock of Seagulls played their hits. Venue was nice, and nice atmosphere and location.

  • When in Rome & Flock of Seagulls were awesome!!!

by BJGP on 6/27/10Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan CapistranoRating: 5 out of 5

Both bands played very well but I enjoyed When in Rome more. I love When in Rome's lead singer. He was awesome!!! The only thing that I did not like are the 2 front acts. The first band, D, was okay but their songs all sounded the same. The second band with the lady singer was awful. OMG! I wanted to leave but I had to wait for When in Rome & Flock of Seagulls.

  • was totally for sure bad to the bone radical!

Anticipating seeing Flock was stressful at times because we had to sit through 3 opening bands - the first two being horrendously bad (partly because of the speakers being blown out) and they honestly were not my style and shouldn't be opening for an 80's band, and When In Rome - their sound wasn't as bad, but it just wasn't my style either Finally when I saw Mike Score walk right in front of me and towards the stage, I knew a good night was in store for myself, my friends and everyone there Their sound wasn't tampered with by any blown speakers, and all the band members were playing top notch They performed one of the craziest versions of Telecommunication that I've ever heard I know he performs I Ran just for the fans (he said he "resents making the song" but plays it because he knows "the people want to hear it") but it was still cool to hear Overall it was a damn good show - I hope they'll tour once more around here sometime in the future before he retires
