A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

  • Not What I Was Expecting

by Gracehavenite on 3/14/23Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

Tannahill's Tavern is a great venue for concerts. As an avid 80's music lover, I was expecting to hear music from Flock of Seagull's from the 80's. For the first hour they played what I assume is new music, which was very unlike their music from the 80's. More hard rockish. Finally, when we were about to leave, they did play 3 songs from the 80's but that was it. The lead singer seems angry and burned out. The other band members are really talented musicians. Honestly, the Depeche Mode tribute band was a better show than Flock of Seagulls. Color me neon disappointed.

  • Great show!!!

by IMNZR on 3/14/23Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

A Flock of Seagulls is my all time favorite 80’s band and I never got to see them in the 80’s or 90’s so I was excited to hear they were coming to town. I was sad when I found out that Mike Score was the only original member playing with the band but the new guys did not disappoint! They put on a fantastic show!!! Strange Love (the Depeche Mode experience) was pretty good too. Overall great night!!!

  • Loved it

by Tracey on 3/8/23The Space at Westbury Theater - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5

The 2 opening bands were great! Nice venue, lived the general admission standing room only section: you can dance! Unfortunately the headliner had technical difficulties, not sure why. Microphones weren't working properly. They did fix it eventually

  • Ok

by MrsENC on 3/6/23The Space at Westbury Theater - WestburyRating: 2 out of 5

The performance could have been better. The band performed very late and the concert was mostly performed by a cover band.

Worse show I ever saw. Love the venue!!! Top notch and great sound! The cover bands were bad but the lone Seagull singer was God awful!! Very long and painful experience!!!

  • Not a great show

by Dara on 3/6/23The Space at Westbury Theater - WestburyRating: 1 out of 5

The first band, Love Songs was the best. They were prepared, in tune and entertaining. Once their set was over, we waited almost an hour, for Strange Love, a DepecheMode cover band. They were not very prepared, and there was problems with the sound. There was feedback and the lights above the stage were blinding to us in the audience. When their set was through we again waited almost an hour for the stage crew to prepare the microphones etc for A Flock of Seagulls to come out. They didn't come out until 10:45. I felt the band was very unprepared. The bass player spilled a drink on the stage, And performed with his back to the audience for a good part of their set. The crew kept walking back-and-forth while they were performing and they lost sound and had feedback throughout their performance. The video they played to the crowd was a constant film loop of seagulls flying in the air, along with the name of their band. I did not think it was necessary to see their band name displayed throughout their performance. I knew who they were. I paid for the ticket. Whoever did the sound for these bands was having a lot of technical problems. Except for the 1st performance of love songs the other 2 bands experienced major sound issues. I've been to the space before and had not experienced Issues like this.

  • Flock of Seagulls at the space in westbury

by Tpups66 on 3/6/23The Space at Westbury Theater - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5

The opening acts were great. The Flock had some technical issues. Great venue to see a show. Sound was a little loud for the size of the venue. I think the sound is a little better at the Paramount but overall a nice place to see a show. Need some more bartenders lol. Takes way to long to get a drink.

  • so so

by Castles88 on 2/27/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The opening band, Strange Love (Depeche Mode tribute band), was AMAZING! So much energy! And sounded so much like Depeche Mode! Unfortunately the energy in the room plummeted when Flock of Seagulls started playing. Sound tech wasn't getting their sound right, they had to keep stopping. Lead singer's voice was going out. And honestly, they are trying to be a rock band which they are not. A lot of people left only a few songs in. House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in Vegas is a great venue. We upgraded to a table so as not to have to stand all night. Stage is above your head if you are down in the stage area on the floor.

  • Past their prime

by SB on 2/21/23House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 1 out of 5

I am a huge fan of 80s music and was so disappointed when the lead singer could not carry a tune. We left early.

  • 30 minutes into the show, nothing familiar

by kbca on 2/21/23House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 2 out of 5

Maybe it was my bad but 30 minutes into the show I had no idea what kind of noise they are playing. Definitely not for me. I remember something completely different back in the early 80's. You might enjoy it if you are a huge fan.

  • AUDIO FAIL - AGAIN @ HoB

by Vegas80s on 2/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Once again, the House of Blues audio team managed to ruin what could have been a decent performance. For the entire first song the lead vocal mic was OFF: yup; NO LEAD VOCALS and the audio engineer didn’t even notice until the back up vocals started to sing. Then, for the remainder of the Flock Of Seagulls show, the ONLY place that it sounded half decent was if you stood RIGHT WHERE THE AUDIO ENGINEER’s MIXING CONSOLE WAS! House of Blues needs to get better audio personnel and they MUST get up from their chair and WALK THE ROOM!! The Las Vegas House of Blues is a difficult venue to make it sound good in, but it is not impossible. I’ve been to too many shows there and been disappointed. Sadly, the headliner artist for this show suffered the full affect of bad audio quality, with an obvious lack of crowd/audience enjoyment and significant lack of applause or engagement from the fans in a packed house.

  • Nostalgic

by Gel on 2/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

It is unfortunate that the cover band that opened was better than the headliners. You could tell from the beginning that the sound was off, and there was problems with backstage, sound, and acoustics. And there it was great to be there and see them live it did not live up to my expectations.

  • Great Show

by Smitty on 2/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The band was great. Sound quality excellent. Too crowded though. Management refused to open the balcony seats despite an obvious need. Drink prices way too high as well.

  • 1 out of 2 aint bad

by Gman on 2/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

First of all, Strangelove was great! High energy and excellent sound, vocals and instruments. Crowd was definitely into it. Flock of Seagulls came on and had microphone problems right away. We hung in there with them but as the show wore on, it was apparent that Mike Scores voice was not up to the task. I have always loved this group but we left early, which I have only done once before in 150+ shows (the other one was Night Ranger) Was very stoked for the show but was quite disappointed!

  • Flock of Beagles

by Maverick on 2/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Beyond the technical difficulties, the Lead Singer's voice was drowned out by the music. The act lacked energy. Very disappointing. The opening act salvaged the evening.

  • The cover band was terrible

by Koz on 2/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

The cover band was awful...might as well call it kareoke...they stunk.

  • Artists good / venue 🫤

by John on 2/19/23House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

Artists great but paid for VIP upgrade with tix. What that means is you get in the foundation room. What they don’t tell you is 100% of the tables are reserved for Foundation room member and there are about 12 seats at the bar so of course those are gone. If you want to drink and stand around that’s fine but you can’t get food. Otherwise all you have is a GA ticket. We even tried the restaurant downstairs but even though only half the table are taken the wait was 40 mins. Take away…..Don’t buy the VIP upgrade, it’s a complete waste of money.

  • 80’s fun

  • No thanks

by Mx McDaniels on 2/19/23House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 2 out of 5

This is a horrible venue to see a band. Feels like a Costco warehouse converted to music venue. Poor sightlines and accessibility to actual stage area. It’s a boozy overpriced bar masquerading as a music venue. The crowd seemed more interested in the Depeche Mode cover band (simulation was enough for them I guess) as many left after opening act. The Seagulls have seen better days - opened promisingly enough - then they hit some turbulence! Playing far too many newer mediocre non hits. Overall a very lackluster evening for music. Saw Suede at same venue recently who were phenomenal (as they are) never need to go back to house of Blahs again. Not a real music venue
