A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

  • Fantastic concert

by Riceball on 12/18/18Pechanga Resort and Casino - TemeculaRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the concert, the lineup was awesome and the venue was great too. The only thing that kept me from rating this concert was 3 things. 1. The concert was a bit longer than it needed to be because they had to change setups between bands and they had no method of doing it faster. They need to invest in a rotating stage that's split in half by a curtain, so that while one band is performing another could be setting up behind the curtain and be ready to go the minute the performing band is finished. 2. Some techincal problems during When in Rome's performance. But that's relatively minor since stuff happens. 3. Lastly, it was a bit too loud. Yeah, I know, it's a concert but the venue wasn't all that large so there's really no need, in my opinion, for the music to be quite so loud. All in all, though, I really enjoyed the concert and had a very good time.

It brought back so many memories and also slapped me with the harsh reality, we don't get awy from Father Time. Great tunes, singing and dancing to them. I'll be back for sure!

Great show!! 80s heaven! Every band made the night magical!

  • Not bad at all - definitely a good experience.

Some sound issues that got in the way of Animotion's effort to sing about Obsession hampered their set. Their singer is available, guys! She said so! Berlin brought it and in a good way - if they had more material, they could almost have headlined a bigger tour with fewer folks to share the spotlight. Lead singer tried to come out into crowd during "Take My Breath Away" and there were some hitches... she recovered well, though. Great set - even their new song is okay. I wonder who had to break the news to Naked Eyes' lead singer that they only got three songs, because he was pretty salty about only getting to do 3 songs. And then the guitar solo on "Promises, Promises" got swallowed up in the sound mix - too bad, really, as it was good I'm sure. Their 3 songs were good, though, don't get me wrong. Nu Shooz were animated and fun and definitely enjoying it. Wang Chung were good and probably had a few more songs in them. Good job, guys! "When in Rome" was pretty good - they brought beach balls that got quickly confiscated by security (ha!). Their voices were still pretty good. Flock of Seagulls were good - a tad louder than the other acts it seemed, but a good finish to an enjoyable night.

  • Lost 80s.

by Mawbster on 8/8/18STATE BANK AMPHITHEATRE AT CHASTAIN PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

First we paid more in fees then we did for the tickets. The bands all came out for their greatest hits so they did 3 to 4 songs and there was more time between sets setting up than music. The music was good but just as you warmed up, it was set up time again.

  • Karaoke hit-fest not for fans expecting more

by bandsreunited on 8/8/18STATE BANK AMPHITHEATRE AT CHASTAIN PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Only 40% of the venue was occupied unfortunately, yet it was the first-acts on this circus train that truly entertained the crowd. Nu Shooz, Animotion, and When in Rome all made their Atlanta debut on this summer evening while Naked Eyes, Berlin, Wang Chung, and A Flock of Seagulls have made their way here in other similarly packaged tours. Highlight of the night: Valerie Day of Nu Shooz hit notes I haven't heard ever at Chastain. They were really good..... When In Rome were outstanding as well, but their other two tracks are virtually unknown ("Heaven Knows" and "Wide Wide Sea") - unless you purchased their only album back in 1988. Lowlight was Wang Chung's replacement of Jack Hughes (a total shocker!).... Hughes, who isn't a fan of 3-song itineraries, sat this one out, yet founding member Nick Feldman carried the trophy Wang through the band's biggest anthem hits. Animotion's set was disrupted during "Obsession" as the sound tech allowed some other track (?) to be played over their big one. It was a train-wreck. Luckily this didn't happen during the band's second track "I-Engineer," a big dance smash though carried with little radio play back in 1986. Berlin were good (Terri Nunn crowd surfed in the pit) but Naked Eyes seemed disheveled without any keyboards (all Memorox for the digital arrangements). The Seagulls were well received, but with only 18 mins. of 'headline' time, it seemed rushed.......Whereas Nu Shooz, Animotion, and When in Rome were all feeding those that fancy Casio technology, Wang Chung, Berlin, and the Seagulls rocked.

  • Lost 80’s live was fun!

by StevePar on 8/8/18STATE BANK AMPHITHEATRE AT CHASTAIN PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Lost 80’s live was a fun show. Most of the bands made a good showing of themselves. Terri Nunn and Berlin are amazing and wish they played longer. Was a bit disappointed with a flock of seagulls. Mike might not have much of a voice left or maybe he wasn’t feeling well, but he seemed to more grunt or yell the words of the songs instead of singing, kinda like a Pantera’ish kinda thing. That might not make sense but hard to explain. Had a great time, Chastain park is amazing.

  • Interesting!

by TS1972 on 8/8/18STATE BANK AMPHITHEATRE AT CHASTAIN PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Several groups played 3-4 songs each. It was great and we got to see a lot of the 80" groups!

Unfortunately the performance was subpar for all of them except Berlin

This was an excellent lineup. All the bands had a lot of energy and gave great performances.

  • Good music.....

by erajane on 1/23/18Cactus Petes Resort Casino Gala Showroom - JackpotRating: 3 out of 5

Was a fun crowd and great venue. Mike's singing voice is not all there. Maybe just a bad night for him. He is not very personable and very little eye contact. Music was fabulous. Drummer was most enthusiastic. Hard to fake it in such a small space. Overall, glad I saw them.

  • Flock of Seagulls

by MissKats on 1/23/18Cactus Petes Resort Casino Gala Showroom - JackpotRating: 4 out of 5

Cactus Pete's Gala Showroom has decent sound, comfy temps, bright lighting and every seat has an unobstructed view of the stage. There's no place to dance, and if you're seated in the middle of a booth, how likely is it you'll ask the strangers on the outside you let you in and out to dance? There is no table service: just one bar in the back with $8 drinks and intermittent service, so be sure you bring your free drink in with you from the casino floor. I'm a fan of revisiting the 80's, and Flock of Seagulls did not disappoint. Only one member is original, but the three newbies play with such energy (and dress in true rock star style!) that you won't even notice. It's a short set, but they played all the hits, and kudos to the drummer: true talent! Little flat: not sure if that's the band or the mix.

  • Not so good

Most groups were not up to snuff. Berlin was probably the best part of the show.

  • Nice

The concert was nice. Not too thrilled with everyone standing in front of us, but it is what it is. Berlin was really good. Was too tired from all the other adventures we had been on to stay for the whole concert... :)

A bunch of us went to this concert with our floaties and had such a memorable night rocking out with all the bands in the pool. So much fun and so worth the trip to Vegas to see them. I especially loved Berlin, Flock of Eagles well pretty much all of them. I wish you would do this every year!

Wang Chung has been one if my favorite groups of the 80s. Why advertise Wang Chung when the lead singer is not even there?? Sorry but having a person from Cutting Crew sing Wang Chung songs doesn't cut it.

  • Same a Every Year, Mostly...

by VegasDJ1 on 9/13/16Mandalay Bay Beach at Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The show is okay for the ticket price. It's pretty much the same band lineup every year, with some minor exceptions. This year they added Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow to the lineup, which is why I went again. They advertised her in 2013, but had someone else sing in her place, so I made sure to confirm with Annabella that she would be there. Unfortunately, they had her perform second out of the eight acts, and I arrived 30 minutes late due to some unforeseen issues, and only heard her sing two and a half songs. As a result of getting there late I also missed Tommy Tutone performing his only hit, but he's there every year, so that didn't matter. Besides Annabella, the same bands were there that are always there: the aforementioned Tommy Tutone (1 song), Nu Shooz (3 songs), Cutting Crew (4 songs, the last of which was a cover of "The One I Love" by REM, and what seemed to be a 5-minute guitar solo that didn't enhance their overall performance at all), Wang Chung (3 songs), Berlin (3 songs), When in Rome UK (2 songs), and A Flock of Seagulls (3 songs instead of the usual 4). Nu Shooz is, of course, not the same genre as the others, but they put on a good performance and the crowd enjoyed it, cheering as much for them as for all of the others. I went to the show specifically to see Annabella Lwin ( and because my daughter wanted me to take her), but her performance was a lot more subdued than I thought it would be, based on her outspoken extrovert personality, usually wild makeup, and photos from past performances. She's the only act in the lineup that I had never seen in concert, so I don't know if she's mellowed with age, as I have, or what. Her hair was shorter than it used to be, and not done -up, conservative makeup, and she sang to pre-recorded accompaniment, with no other musicians on stage. The standout performance of the night was Berlin. This was my third or fourth time seeing them, and Terri Nunn always brings enhusiasm to the stage and seems to always be grateful for the opportunity to perform. She puts everything into it. Her guitarist was very energetic, as well. As always, one has the choice of standing or sitting on the sand, or standing in the water at this venue. I almost always stand in the water the whole time. This year I made the mistake of starting out standing just to the house right side of the stage. The wave pool was generating small waves at regular intervals, so every few seconds a wave would hit my right leg and splash my shorts and shirt. In addition, a group of six or seven guys, two of whom were pretty drunk, filled in the empty space in front of me during the Nu Shooz portion of the show. During his air guitar performances and bad dancing, one of the drunk ones kept obliviously bumping into me (oblivious, or just couldn't care less) because I didn't have enough room to back up, while the other drunk would occasionally throw his arms and some of his beer into the air. After a few minutes of this, my 10 year old daughter and I moved fifty or sixty feet to the house left side of the audience (where the waves don't reach) and enjoyed the remaining couple of hours of the show. Overall, it was enjoyable and the sound technician didn't fall asleep like he or she did until halfway through ABC' first song last year, keeping the intermission music going and not having the band's sound on.

  • 80's flashback

by girl80girl on 9/13/16Mandalay Bay Beach at Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

it was great to hear the music and partial bands. Did not like that we had to wait so long after every performer for the next one to start especially when the first two did not have a band and it was karaoke style.
