A Flock of Seagulls on Tour
Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as "I Ran (So Far Away,)" "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.
A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert
A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV. In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

GREAT SHOW, BERLIN STOLD THE SHOW....NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENDED TO WANG CHUNG BUT STILL A GREAT SHOW.
It's a once in a lifetime to watch a concert whilst laying on a beach or swimming in the pool at Mandalay bay. Moon above the stage planes above flying over. Cutting Crew, berlin and my shops were my favourite. Worth every penny the atmosphere was amazing.
Berlin and Cutting crew were fun and had a full band. Many of the bands weren't bands at all... just one or 2 people on stage singing 2 unrecognizable songs (along with their 1 hit) with the "instruments" recorded.
Numerous 80's groups performed their hits in the wonderful Mandalay Bay beach outdoor setting. Crowd was invited to sing along and it was an excellent showcase of 80s hits.
This concert was great - all the groups played three songs that made them famous - Cutting Crew did four songs and were fantastic. This is the second concert that we have been to at the Mandalay Beach - everyone gets a great view for a very reasonable ticket price - they make up for that by charging outrageous prices for drinks and snacks but at least you have the choice to buy or not. After the concert everyone was invited to go to The Foundation Room which is on the top floor of Mandalay Bay for free if you had your ticket stubs. We went - my Wife got the meet and greet with When in Rome so she was over the moon. .
Guy who organize this took a lot of time and found the right people to get this done I'm sure all of the artist would love to have stayed out there and played more .I would do this again next week if they had one going ..keep the 80s coming back
Too much time between each act. Some only played one song. Ended around midnight. Most act sounded bad. Lucky drum players were good.
So much fun and great to be able to relax on the beach with a beach blanket.
There was too much time between sets. The downtime between sets was longer than the sets which is ridiculous. 3 hours after start time there was only probably 60 minutes of music played. These are not huge acts they should be able to share equipment for 1-3 songs. We bailed after 3 hours which was probably halfway from what it seemed
Four professional ladies in their 50s and lovers of music drove from Rochester to hear Flock of Seagulls. We remembered a few of their tunes from the 80s and thought what the heck, it was a birthday celebration after all and something to do. We were pleasantly surprised on how awesome these guys were in concert. They had the place rocking. The venue was intimate and the bass player was friendly with the crowd. We thoroughly enjoyed this night and it really made the birthday very special. Thanks FOS!
Flock of Seagulls didn't show at the Niagara Falls Casino. The show is in the Bears Den which only holds about 350 to 400 people it was not sold out but still a good crowd. They played for about 90 minutes so of course played their hits. Nothing fancy with the show just them coming out and playing. No opening band but I was okay with that. They did set up a table afterwards and will sign autographs and take pictures with people. That is a nice thing that they did and it was for free.
The audio engineering was amateur. During the performance by Trans-X, the male vocalist's mic wasn't working for the duration of the song "Living on Video". Aside from that, there was a nasty ground-loop hum interspersed throughout the night. Luckily they got the feedback under control during the first act. It would have been nice if they would have had it under control during soundcheck. The worst part of the night, at least to me, was when Bow Wow Wow came onstage with some counterfeit American lead singer that didn't look old enough to have even been born in the 1980s, instead of Annabella Lwin, who was the only reason I came to the concert. After having a conversation with Annabella, I found out she didn't even know about this show!
Great group lineup, would definitely attend again!
flock, wow, motion all eight bands were quite cool and played their hits great. anytime my wife actually gets up to dance;she's not a dancer; i know it's going to be a good night. and she was up and it was good. thanks again mandalay at the beach. sweet setting with killer tunes. good job.
Great show, Highly recommended Would go again, get there early and Beach On! Sound was terrific , a few connection problems but it was a Blast!
There was too much time between bands , just waiting around 10 min after 1-2 songs for next band to set up
lip -sync that went very bad. Poor performances by all groups. People leaving early .
This was overall a fun show. Although the audio was bad, the mikes kept going out, and the older artists tend to have lost their audiotune voices... I love Naked Eyes, although they weren't very good, voice was too shaky. Wang Chung and Flock of Seagulls were saved the Best for Last. I could actually comprehend what they were saying, and showed great spirits... Vegas in the Summer...how could you not? And there were no video screens, couldn't see anything because of too many people, some were residents of the hotel, so it was just way overcrowded.. But i had fun..
The Mandalay Bay beach was a great place to have this. With so many bands playing their one or two hits, it is hard to review. But for me the best band was Naked Eyes. So sharp and together. Promises Promises...
Overall, the concert was a lot of fun...especially as they played overlooking the Mandalay Bay pool area. Animotion and Wang Chung were definitely the stars of the night, as they should have closed the show - not Flock of Seagulls. I was super excited by the surprise set of When in Rome and "The Promise." I would definitely see another concert at the Mandalay Bay pool.
