The Used in Concert
Bursting onto the scene with the tense crunch of post-hardcore guitars and singer Bert McCracken's piercing shriek in the early aughts, The Used were stalwarts of the "screamo" sub-genre, drawing comparisons to contemporaries in Thursday, Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance. Always a formidable live act, The Used are as closely aligned with the hard rock acts of the 80s as they are with their post-hardcore brethren, with vocalist McCracken lending his plaintive howl to his bandmates' razor-sharp maelstrom and a full battery of strobe lights. Their latest full-length album Vulnerable featured more overly theatrical flourishes and led with the single "I Come Alive." They supported the album with the Vulnerable Tour 2012 and reissued the album as a two-disc set that included B-sides and rarities, called Vulnerable (II) in March 2013.
The Used are unlikely exports of Orem, Utah, a place not known for hard rock. That didn't stop guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jepth Howard, drummer Branden Steineckert and McCracken from playing the local clubs before touring to support their 2002 self-titled debut. Their reputation as a live act saw them punch their ticket for coveted spots on the Warped Tour and Ozzfest. 2004's In Love and Death, which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Top 200, announced their arrival to the big leagues, spawning singles, "Take it Away," "All That I've Got" and "I Caught Fire." In 2006, the band replaced longtime drummer Branden Steineckert with Dan Whiteside and released their fifth album Vulnerable through their own label, Dental Records. The band embarked on a series of concerts to support the album that summer. The Used released an EP of new material titled The Ocean of the Sky the following summer. Currently, the band is rumored to be going on tour in 2014, but no official announcements have been made.
The Used are touring on the Rockstar Energy Drink DISRUPT Festival in 2019. The touring festival features unique lineups in each city, including The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41, The Story So Far, Atreyu, Sleeping With Sirens, Andy Black, and more.

23 awesome years of creating and performing music and The Used still delivers the highest quality emo and screamo show. I've probably seen them 10 times and I'm always impressed. Love these guys and hope they are able to continue doing this for as long as it makes them happy. I will continue to support them ❤️
This was my first time seeing The Used and it was freaking amazing! They interact with you, their songs were great and the confetti was awesome! I really hope I'm able to see them live again in the future!
There were smokers (cigarette smokers) in the front, I got pushed by the security several times as they went by without as much as an excuse me, and the people in front of us were obnoxious as hell. I'm surprised the pot smokers were thrown out even though it's legal here and the cigarette smokers weren't. Especially with kids around. Y'all can do better. Probably won't be back for another concert here anytime soon.
I try to see The Used every time that they are in the area, but this show was fire! I am always so impressed with Bert and how he engages with the crowd! Jepha was on point! He sounded so amazing! Dan was on point too! Branden was tearing it up! I just love The Used and the Hard Rock in Wheatland is an amazing place to see a show!
I was so happy to see The Used again and to tour with Sleeping with Sirens was so cool! Great time!
I love these guys. The shows are always so much fun and interactive. The crowds are always cool people. I always have such a good times at their concerts. I personal know 2 of the band members from past and they have the sweetest souls. Nothing but, love for these guys. 100%
The mic wasn't very clear so it was hard to understand . I felt like I wouldn't have really known what was being said if I didn't know all the songs already. when I did vip, only 1 member actually talked to me, one I felt only said hi because I asked to shake his hand. And the others were distracted so they didn't pay me any attention or say hi at least. I LOVE the used and this was my first vip and it was only okay,(Because of the goodies) so that's pretty disappointing. But I'd still go see them again, so yeah 🤷♀️
THE SEATS WERE IN A GREAT SECTION. THE SHOW WAS AMAZING. AMAZING TIME.
Pretty awesome to see a favorite band play in my hometown. RMA is a great venue to for fans, Some lines were long but it was a packed house.
I really like the venue itself, it's small but makes it very personal with the band you are seeing. I am attending another show there the end of October and I'm also very excited for it!
I loved their approach to the show. Self-depricating, funny, serious, emotional, loud, and vibrant. Having Sleeping With Sirens Was a real plus to the show. Will definitely see them again.
The experience and venue itself was very good but the only thing I wished for was to have a capacity because it was way too tight inside and barely anyone could move around, even in the bar area it’s hard to walk through
The Used was amazing live! Tons of energy from the opening bands as well.
Great show! The USED were very tight and sounded incredible ❤️ Bert seemed very appreciative of his fans and gave his all. Loved them ! Did care for Sleeping with Sirens, but crowd liked them. Other bands were ok. Stage set ups fast and set timing perfect.
The used have such an amazing personality that plays up the crowd, they make sure everyone is having a great time. Totally recommend them even if you're not that familiar with their music.
I had a really good time at this concert, The bands were all really good, the atmosphere was fun, and I enjoyed it. My biggest complaint however was I really felt like they oversold the venue. It felt too crowded and honestly unsafe. It was hard to move to go to the bathroom or bar, and even the floor was so packed they could barely move to have a mosh pit. I understand the need to fill the venue, but safety should come first and if something has happened we would have been in a lot of trouble.
The Steelhouse is an amazing venue and the Used put on a stellar performance. What a great night.
I felt like I was 17 again when I first saw them. Sooo worth it, I would go 100x over!!
The Used put on a absolutely amazing show! Our seats were great. Can't wait to see them again some time!
