About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

Cheap Trick was excellent, Heart was a disappointment.

    by Tinman1940 on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Cheap Trick came out roaring and sounding excellent. Heart was way off key and Ann sounded like she shouldn't be singing anymore. Her voice was straind and out of key. Maybe they shouldn't be preforming this much. They mostly talked about how they came to write their songs, what other bands influenced them, same old bearing stories.

    Disappointed

by Xx on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Heart came on stage 25 minutes late. Ann was not in the best shape her voice was good! They played songs from their solo albums but I came to see Heart and their hits. They did play some hits but it was not the concert I hoped for! Cheap Trick opened and they were great and they played their hits!!

    Great talent...still ROCKIN.....

    by WeBjmn84 on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Had great seats, talked with police and staff and had a great time.....then the couple behind us came, and it went downhill fast! They NEVER shut up!!! Music got louder and so did they......even after many comments out loud like..."shut the hell up....and talk in the car..." Finally we got up and went to the standing room only section and finished the night with 4 songs I just loved. Heart was still amazing and Cheap Trick now having Robin's son playing and singing and of course, Rick Neilsen being Rick was just fantastic...(they are from my home town) Go see them! But hopefully, you won't have to deal with rude people when you do see them

    Reliving 50 Years of Music

by GlennM on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

True rock is hard to come by these days and with 50 years of history Heart has delivered a memorable evening once again. Nancy and Ann Wilson are iconic and while we are all getting older we still appreciate the memories and their new music. Permission to Rock is granted once again. Cheap Trick with local ties to Tampa always spot on and a Florida favorite - what a great opening and a great closing.

Still Rockin it after 40 years

by MichaelO on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Seeing Heart live was a blast from the past in the best possible way. They played all the songs I love, and Ann Wilson's voice sounds just as amazing as it did on the radio decades ago. It was a powerful, feel-good show that had the whole crowd on their feet. For anyone who grew up with Heart's music, this is a concert you can't miss.

For every season there is a time

by Judi on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

It's time for Ann Heart to retire. She missed many high notes and couldn't hold any. Her voice cracked once. She seemed short of breath. Her performance days are either over or she was too sick to have been on stage this particular night. The band was phenomenal, extraordinary! They were worth hearing. Lastly, Nancy Heart was good but her voice also shows age. However, it was superior to Ann's voice. For the price it was good evening. Just don't expect what you heard back in the 70's and 80's.

Heart and Cheap Trick - authenically wonderful

by Flip Sides Guy on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

First of all, the nucleus of Cheap Trick (Robin, Rick, and Tom) and the nucleus of Heart (Ann and Nancy) were all there and in great form, so this truly made both acts authentic. Both acts were wonderful with Cheap Trick playing around 10 songs and Heart about twice that many including an acoustic set in the middle. The nucleus of Cheap Trick were supplemented by Rick and Robin's very talented sons (I think Daxx Nielsen is a better drummer than original Bun E. Carlos). The 5 musicians surrounding Ann & Nancy were also solid. There is one who played guitar, mandolin, keyboards, banjo, and sang. I am so happy we went and I recommend catching this tour.

    My expectations were unattainable

by Gbeth on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Let me start off by saying I love the band Heart. Ann and Nancy were powerhouse rockers back in the day. Unfortunately I never got the chance to see them in concert then. Fast forward a few decades and you find Ann sitting on a stool for most of the concert. It was disappointing to see but I have since learned that she had recently undergone knee replacement surgery. The band itself sounded great. Nancy was still rocking it out and looking the part with her hot pink hair accents. Ann seemed less than enthused and a bit strained. Perhaps because she is still healing. Her amazing voice was still apparent but in a much more subtle fashion. I was still thrilled to see one of my all time favorite bands and would do it again in a Heartbeat. ❤️

The staff at Amelie is phenomenal over all. The swinging monitor was awful. I was glad when it stopped.

    Awesome experience

by ARJP on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Our first event at this venue-Amalie Arena and we decided that it definitely isn’t the last! The parking was easier than we could have imagined. Best set up of any local venue. The security was helpful and really made the short walk to the Arena safe and quick. The Arena had food stands outside they were well staffed and made it easy to get drinks and food quickly. It would have been great to know other options were available inside the arena but the outdoor seating was okay. The opening group started on time, Cheap Trick played for almost an hour and really rocked the house! Heart came on after a short intermission and blew the roof off the arena! The sound quality was amazing and there were no issues with lights or sound for the next two hours. Ann and Nancy Wilson had the same magic and chemistry that they are known for since the 80’s. Introducing a blended band of Tripsitter and a crew that made transition between songs seamless. The crowd was engaged and floated along with the music the entire time! If you have an opportunity to see Heart or Cheap Trick on this tour- GO!! You won’t be disappointed!

    Heart

by Olga on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Amazing experience seeing Heart in concert for the first time! I’ve been a fan since 1983 and they did not disappoint. I wish they would have sung All I Want To Do(is make love to you) which is why I gave them 4 stars. Otherwise, these Queens of Rock and Roll will WOW you!

    Awesome Concert!!!

by Cynthia on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

The Cheap Trick/ Heart concert exceeded our expectations! The seats were awesome, and the bands were phenomenal!! The sound and lighting were impressive, too. All of the artists "still got it!"They played all of their top hits, and our voices were raw the next day from singing along. I loved that Robin Zander's kids joined the band on stage. The genes are strong with them! The Wilson sisters put on a high-energy and captivating show. Especially loved the acoustic set and the stories. Thanks for an incredible night!

    short changed

by alan on 4/29/24Hard Rock Live - Hollywood

Heart was awesome aside from the lousy acoustics for the venue. Was disappointed that Cheap Trick was not part of the show as was advertised when tickets were purchased. They played all the other Heart shows on this leg of the tour, and felt baited and switched by that, not a good look for ticket master.

    Nice Trip Down Memory Lane

by Ricksters on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Cheap Trick opened for Heart. To be fair, I was not really a fan of Cheap Trick to begin with so, imo, it was a lot of very loud noise. The vocals seemed to be buried somewhere behind the music. I did like the two hit songs I was most familiar with. Now, the band for Heart was great. Tight, clean, pure sound with excellent musicians. Nancy Wilson is a phenomenal rhythm guitarist and that just adds so much to the overall sound. Ann Wilson’s typical soaring vocals were not as strong as in the past (she is 73 after all) and some harmonies were off, but I still thoroughly enjoyed them. A few Zeppelin songs were sprinkled in with their well known hits which took me back some 42 years ago when I saw them at Pine Knob, outside of Detroit, where they opened for John ‘Cougar’ Mellencamp. August 26, 1982.

Show great then you not so much

    by mhoward205 on 4/29/24Amalie Arena - Tampa

Music was really stellar. The venue on the other hand was the main issue with making the night a nightmare. First nobody working for the venue really had a good handle on how to get to seats we were in section 210 and nobody could get us there they sent us all the way to the top they sent us to the bottom they sent us all over the arena until we finally had an epiphany and just started walking around to find it. Getting into the venue was a nightmare The police traffic plan was a mess. They did nothing to accommodate cars getting in and out of parking The police officers were often not even looking at traffic and we're on their phones. All in all I don't think I'll be going to very many shows at this venue because of these two items. We missed 35 minutes of the opening act because nobody could help us find our seats. We had to go through stress getting in and out because they closed roads in a willy-nilly fashion and did not have very good signs.
